Hi Gabriel, If you can configure the alias field to match on alerts from different sources which still refer to the same issue, that would cause the alerts to be deduplicated. Deduplication is when, instead of creating a new alert, the alert count of another open alert with a matching alias is increased. You can read more…

Hi Janna, The Advanced tab of the integration is only available on the Standard and Enterprise plans.
-
Hi Ron, Currently there is a 1 minute auto-refresh for the 'Alerts' page, so any new alerts should show up within 1 minute, without having to refresh the page.

Hi Howard, Can you please try closing out all of your browser windows, then open an incognito window and sign into Opsgenie and and try the command again? If that doesn't work, can you please open an ticket either via chat from your Opsgenie account or from the contact form here: https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/

Hi Defong, In this case, you would want to create a custom rotation type, with a shift length of '2-days.' Then you could either add the other users to that schedule, or if they are not working 2-day-interval shifts (2 days, 4 days, 6 days etc) you could fill in that schedule with the No-one option:

You can try using incident-alert-type = responder, but if you are using any services and those services have multiple responders on that services you will be back to the same issue of multiple alerts sending to slack. You could also try setting up a dummy team and assigning that team to the Slack integration to limit the…

The best way to trigger outbound integrations for incidents is to key in on the incident-alert-type field being 'Owner'. If the incident has a service, the team that owns that service will get an 'Owner' responder alert created, so there should only be one alert and you would avoid the multiple alerts/slack messages issue.…

Hi Rodolfo, We actually have a completely separate Slack integration just for Incidents. You can find it in the Slack menu item under the Integrations section.

Hi Patrick, In this case you would want to prevent Zendesk tickets from being created in all situation, except when a custom action is triggered on the alert. Here is what it would look like:
-
The fields that are built into the incidents can't be changed but you can add your own fields with the Extra Properties.

Hi Melanie, The email in your screenshot was sent out because the URL of your opsgenie account was changed. All Opsgenie users would need to login again using the new URL. This email is not related to alerts at all - it's just letting users know that their current web sessions in Opsgenie were terminated due to the name…

Hi Edoardo, That is a good question - Incident Rules run against the new/updated alert values value, after being modified by the alert policies.
-
Yes, both statements are correct. The rule-id is used to match alerts to open incidents, so an alert does not necessarily need to match anything on an open incident to be rolled up under it. If you deleted an Incident Rule and created a new Incident Rule with the same exact conditions, matching alerts would create a new…
-
Hi JP, The tags for the incident come from the alert so there is no way to add a drop-down list to select from, but you can manually add new ones directly to the incident. You can also use an incident creation rule to add additional tags automatically. Adding a link to a document for best practices can also be done with an…

It would depend on whether the rule was filtering for the priority. If not, and it was just a single condition looking for a matching message, it would associate all alerts that match that message with the original incident that was opened - so long as that incident has not been closed. If there was a second condition to…

Hi Stefan, We don't have a Wear OS app, however you may be able to get notifications on your watch by installing the both the opsgenie android app and the Google Wear OS app on your phone, which syncs notifications between your phone and watch.
-
Hi Sam, In this case, you would need to use a filter. There is no way to convert strings from external sources to the necessary 'P' values after they reach Opsgenie. Keep in mind, you can setup multiple 'Create Alert' actions - one for each priority. Otherwise, you would need to use {{priority}} in the Priority field and…
-
Hi Sterling, If an incident is left open and there is an alert that comes in that matches the same incident rule that created the incident, it will associate that alert with the already open incident, rather than creating a new incident. Here is the incident rule documentation, which explains that in more detail:…

Hi Rodolfo, You can accomplish this by using a combination of routing rules and escalations. You would need to set up one rule for each priority and one escalation for each priority. Then, in each routing rule, set the escalation configured for the corresponding priority:

Hi Sudeep, You can first add your primary and secondary teams to their respective rotations and then toggle the "ends on" option and you will be able to select the year you want the rotation to end. This will fill in the calendar with the team schedule for the entire year.

Hi Chris, We would be happy to help you figure out what's going on here. In this case though, we would need to get access to your account. Can you please go to support.atlassian.com and open a ticket there so we can request access? You can just paste the body of this post into your ticket.

Hi Mahdi, As discussed in our chat, currently this functionality does not exist within our Slack integration. However, we did discuss the option of using Zapier to build more robust workflows and notifications between Opsgenie and Slack. We do also currently have a feature enhancement that has been submitted for your…

Hi Yogev, There is no way to directly send the on call schedule to slack but you can use the Webcal link to integrate with a shared Google Calendar or any other calendar that supports the Webcal format. Then you could link that shared calendar to slack to send updates automatically. You would simply navigate to the…
