@Sue Wilson I could agree more. I can say the same with the cloud changes and working in server and data center it has always been a learning experience everyday. I think that is why I love Atlassian so much. As admins we are always learning. Keep in touch and best of luck with everything.

This is good to know. Are the approvers customers or internal JSM agents? The notification scheme could be an issue but I have never seen that happen to not send email to other users that are asked to approve. I would check the customer permissions and notification scheme to see if something is blocking the email. Since…

Are you trying to use the same field for 3 different approvals or are we only talking about the first approval here? Another thing to try is to take them out of the default value and in the field context. Then add them to the request type and hide the approvers field. Then see if your getting the notifications.

Welcome to the group. Also welcome to learning JSM. To me it was the hardest product to learn but after learning it was my favorite to work with. Hope all is well and if you have question I am always will to help. But I am sure with your 15 years of knowledge you got this!

Hello @barbara_santos Hope all is well and welcome to the community. As was stating using the permission scheme to help allocate who can create issues is very effective. If your using Jira software projects then probably best to limit that unless users are trained where to enter tickets. What you can do in the permission…

Hello @Justin Kelley Hope you are doing well. Welcome to the Atlassian community. Can you show me a screenshot of the settings for the approval in the workflow? There are settings in the workflow that you set the multiple approval. Also did you verify the other users didn't get an email? I can't remember but I am sure that…

It would be super helpful if we could edit the issue type rather than duplicate and or do both. I have to always change request to a full new issue type and than re-create them and bulk change which is time consuming because stakeholders change their minds about workflows that need approvals after the fact.

Been super ready for these updates!!!!!!!!!!! ❤️

@Will Ferry It is possible with script runner but it is also possible I believe with another add-on which is for replicating components from project to project in a templated format. Octo-component…

All of ours are working in our Cloud environment. If this has stopped working for you I would suggest a Atlassian support ticket so they can follow up with you on any errors. Please let us know how this goes and if this has helped you in anyway. There is the shortcut commands that are stated in the smartlink guidance.…

@Will Ferry Hope all is well and welcome to Atlassian community. I hope you can find all the help you need here. Here is a youtube link to help with the issue you are facing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4mANCtreBE It looks like you will need the component to be on the issue screen you are wanting to have the field…

@Ed Willans Hope all is well Ed. I hope I can get a little more insight to how you are using the smartlink. I use them still and I see them on my cloud site. I do believe if your connecting salesforce to jira usually need an add on to show the smartlink with the status of an issue. We use service rocket which is a great…

I am very happy you have figured this out. Take care and the community is here to help. If you could mark that the solution helped you that would be great. Thank you for letting us know the outcome.
-
@Ron Jackson Now we can check the workflows for conditions but if the workflows have never been edited than we can rule that out. Another thing to try is to delete the automation and recreate it. Make sure you in project automation and not global. One more thing I would question is if your using issue security?
-
Hello @Laura Packard I hope this finds you well. I would have to ask is this user internal customer or external. I believe if it is internal you can have them set to watch the article as they are internal users to Confluence. I have not seen this with external customers. This is something you might be able to handle with…
-
Hello @Ron Jackson A few things you can check to help with this. 1st. Check to see if this user is in the project that your setting this automation up for. 2nd. Check to make sure they have the correct role that will allow them to have assign issue permission as you stated. 3rd. Check to see if there are any workflow…

If the custom field is on the creation or edit view screen. From there when you creat the new issue with automations for Jira you will want to make sure a few things on the newly created ticket. Using the linked issue field and setting the dependancy correctly for the link. Setting the custom field you need to the new…

We are trying to introduce teams as of now mostly teams based off of advance roadmaps and opsgenie. But to have that all be the same along with the People mapped teams that's a big win. We use teams to show which team is working on issues. I can fill you in more during our meeting. The time should work for me.
-
Good Day Atlassian Admins, Community, and Support. I am on the team beta for standard but really want to get on the Sept release for premium. I also wanted to state that it would be really nice with this combining the People to the Team field to have the ability for admins to control these teams and if these teams could be…

Thanks for checking. There are so many its very hard to recall all of them for me too.

I know there is an open ticket for Cloud to add the ability to audit groups like roles. This would be super helpful if we all added ourselves to this request. Here is the URL to the request: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-71967
-
Right now in cloud there is no way to audit groups like there is for roles. This is a thing I have to deal with regularly. Best is to track down groups manually see where they may be applied or not. I know that if you only have 5 that do product access then those can be kept. Its a battle at this point with groups.
-
That is what I was looking for! I am not sure why I couldn't find it I was in API page half day looking around. I was multitasking so that could be why I missed it. Thanks much.
-
My security team wants to see all the app request come into slack that our admins get. Just for transparency. I have noticed the access request come through slack as I do use the slack integration for Jira but I never seen the app add-on come through except through email. Is there away we could pipe only admin request to a…
-
@Clark Everson Jira cloud there is an admin request for access which routes add-ons and access request to admins. This what I am talking about in the admin user and groups area. Not talking about JSM. I was looking for an API or another way to take those notifications for admins (Global, & Site Admin) and route them…
-
@Sarah Elmer I also agree that if you have it set up correctly more might not be to bad but it does have to be configured in a good way so that its easy to use for the client/customer.
-
I could agree more with @Mike Rathwell It seems the more we customize the more we make work for ourselves. I have seen some projects with well over 50 - 100+ but then I ask myself how do they keep track of it all. How do users even know what to add and why so many issue types. I am a big believer in less the better.
-
@Joseph Chung Yin All form field are currently not replicating the data in the request. I have checked and all field are valid fields. Are the fields suppose to show the data after creation of issue in the form field and the custom field if they are valid field? All the field are all linked in the form builder that I am…
-
The fields are on the Creation, Edit, and view screens. But after the request are created the Form field linked to jira fields are not populating the data. You see it on the form in the Form view area but not on the fields that are linked to the Forms. To give you more idea I am only using the default screen as the create,…

We have faced the same issue. What we did is ask for multiple approvals at one approval step. This seem to help that. Another thing you can do is edit the approval by removing one approval for another user approval.
