Hey @Siobhan Flynn I'm sorry for the confusion. In the new template you have: A project - To create a new issue type called initiative and store it A plan - To plan and track the initiatives in the best possible way (roll up progress from other projects in your Jira) The top-level planning template's goal is to help new…
-
Hey @Jamie Carey , the template creates a new project where your initiatives will be created and stored. Having a separate project for initiatives is our recommended setup. You can still add initiative issue types to a project with other issue types if you wish. Check this doc for the next steps if you wish to add an…

Hey @SDebaun , the default estimation for the Plan created with the template is days. To change it to story points: - Click on the Plan Settings in the side nav - Change estimation unit to Story Points - Click on the fields drop-down in the timeline page and add Stopy Points as a column Let me know how that works Cheers,
-
Hey @Shourya Raj Vansha Acharya , yes you can. Please refer to the section "Adding the initiative level to a project" in this page
-
Amazing Dave!
-
Hey @Ken , yes! In the Plan created with this template you could create a Cross Project Release.
-
Hey @Jason Waller and @Sérgio Nogueira please let me know if your issue is resolved once you've changed the pre-existing issue type name to something else than Initiative. Otherwise, I'd advice you to contact support so the developers on my team can assist further.
-
Hey @Sérgio Nogueira I'm sorry to hear you've got an error message. We're investigating these errors. One reason this could happen is if you already have an issue type called initiative on your site. Please check if that's the reason, if so I would recommend you change the existing initiative issue type to a different…

Hey @Jonathan Santos , unfortunately, you can't create or add epic child issues from the details. But you can either: 1. Add the parent initiative from the epic details view using the parent field 2. Add epics to the parent initiative from the Plan user interface Let me know your thoughts
-
Hey @Jonathan Santos and @Nikki DuBois , we're at 50% rollout. I hope we'll be 100% by the end of the week. I'd be happy to know your thoughts once you've tried the template. Cheers!

Hey Steve, I've seen each company comes up with different setups. There is no one size fits all. Here are a few good resources to read about this topic: 1. Simple structures to help teams gracefully manage scope and structure work. 2. How ABN AMRO structured their Jira for scale 3. How to setup issues above the epic I hope…

Hey @Sarah Bachmann-Lane - Are you still looking for a gadget like that. I'm a PM with Advanced Roadmaps and would love to learn more about your need. Feel free to schedule some time with me here - https://calendly.com/rfine/30min
-
Hey @Ben Gallant - Please follow this ticket for updates
-
Hey @Jana.Kyselova - there are no milestones per se in Advanced Roadmaps. There are releases - and their colour is now represented as blue (when on-track, red when off-track)
-
Thanks @Kendall Totten I've passed your feedback to my team!
-
@Kendall Totten , there is an option to expand the timeline size vertically other than the full-screen mode. There are two arrow icons visible when you hover on the top boarder of the timeline. Please refer to the gif I shared in a previous message here.

I appreciate your input and want you to know that my team is closely monitoring all feedback received, both here and directly from the product. Hello team! I’m a product manager with the team who shipped Sample Plan. I'd love to better understand your experience with the feature so far and what we can improve. Please use this link to schedule time with me if you tried the feature and don't mind chatting. Thank you!
-
Thanks! glad you like the feature. @Matt Doar, deleting the Sample Plan is done exactly like any other Plan (from the plan itself, or the view all plans page). The generated data is a Jira Software Project. Deleting it is done like with any other Project. Both of these "delete" actions are documented already. I hope that…

Hi! To trial Jira Software Premium do the following: * Go to admin.atlassian.com. Select your organization if you have more than one. * Go to Billing and select your site name. * In the Manage subscriptions page, you’ll see the plan for each product under its subscription details. * Select Change next to the product’s…

Hey Noah, This was shipped. See here - https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/change-iteration-capacity-from-your-timeline/
-
Hi team, I just checked it. You'll need to delete/remove the kanban teams from the plan, and also save that change to Jira. You'd be able to select story points in the plan config. I hope that helps, Roi
-
Hi @noa If you got Jira Cloud Premium, you would see the "Plans" dropdown on your Jira top nav. Please have a look at the first video of this article. Let me know how you go, Cheers
-
Hi Nico, In a matter of weeks, this feature would be available in our cloud offering too. Stay tuned, Roi
-
Hey @bjohnson , Your setup sounds like you are on the right track. A few thoughts: 1. You can either align the epic status workflow or just map the statuses to the new consolidated kanban board statuses 2. Swimlaning by intiatives could be done but requiers some effort to maintain. I tried to use a few JQLs (one for each…

Hi Andrew, Sorry to hear you are experiencing this issue. It would be great if you could raise a support ticket here. One of our engineers will try to help you out. Thanks, Roi | Product manager
-
Hey @Cody Mages , Advanced Roadmaps can help you visualize any chunk of work in Jira Software. To get a view of only one certain initiative you can create a JQL filter to get all the child issues of an initiative. Then create an Advanced Roadmaps plan to visualize that JQL filter. Let me know if that makes sense, Roi
-
These are great points @Pat Ryan . Thanks!

Hi @Lara Arthur , Sorry to hear you're having some problems getting up to speed with Advanced Roadmaps. I'll try to troubleshoot this but it's quite hard without having a look. You mentioned two problems: 1. You cannot see the correlating Child issues on the Epics parent in Jira issues 2. You cannot drag and drop or bulk…
