@Özge Tosun I've not used Wrike. From a look at their website, it looks like it is more of a project management tool. There are a few pages that review the two tools. See https://www.cloudwards.net/wrike-vs-jira/ as an example.

I find working from home increases my productivity. There's three hours of the day when I'm not participating in the daily commute and not able to work. Since the start of the pandemic I've found I'm working longer hours, but don't feel as stressed as I did before.
-
Excellent. Thank you so much @Bill Sheboy
-
Thank you for that feedback @G subramanyam I'm glad you found it engaging. My Twitter and LinkedIn socials can be found in my profile.
-
Many thanks for the response @Bill Sheboy but maybe I'm missing something. We don't want to have to change the status of the epic manually at all. What I'm after is that the epic is automatically set to our done status when all the tickets linked to it are marked as done. Correct me if I'm wrong, but your automation seems…

Is the problem confined to just this one task? Could this be a permissions issue?
-
Hi @Monica Morris Have you asked your team what they want? Obviously I don't know your specific firm, but you may find this is something they'd like to try. It may not be right for your team/company, but if you don't know what your employees want, you may find out you're left behind. Lots of ifs and maybes I admit, and a…

A lot depends on whether folk work their contracted hours (say 40 hours) in 4 x 10 hour days, or whether their hours are reduced pro-rata. The key thing is to remember that reduced hours isn't for everyone. Working 10 hour days isn't always great for folk with young families for example.

For sure larger enterprise customers will take longer to turn their super tankers around.

What we know for sure, especially in the technology sector, is that you don't need an office to do your job. It may be beneficial to your mental wellbeing to be around people, but we arguably don't need to. The last 18 months have proved that. With signs that things are starting to return to normal after the pandemic,…

Have you tried asking at these resources: * https://www.scrum.org/forum/scrum-forum * https://www.facebook.com/groups/65503514201/ - if it is available :-) * https://www.scrum-institute.org/forum/

It's a great question David. I think the issue here is that whilst there are general principles about how information architecture should be used, particularly if using the agile methodology, I've found that there is no one size fits all solution. You make the system work for you rather than the other way around. Tools…

Whether you can create a Jira project depends on whether they are managed by your company or team. If managed by your company, it is likely you don't have the permissions to create a project and will have to contact your Jira Admin. If you go into any project and look in the bottom left hand corner of the screen, it will…

Thanks for responding @Jack Brickey I may have misled you in saying the "Epic Link" was a custom field. What I'm trying to achieve, is to have the Epic Link field filled in automatically whenever a Debt or Bug ticket is created inside our project. We create an epic each quarter to act as a holder for all the tickets, so…

@Christine P. Dela Rosa I'd be interested in how the team collaborated both internally and externally. This trial seems like not the whole company participated. If true, how did the team change their processes and communication methods to ensure no drop in productivity? Did it result in longer hours in the four days? If…

Thanks for the welcome @Bridget I hope my contributions will benefit the wider community.

Welcome to the world of productivity. We all fall into bad ways when faced with difficult or time consuming challenges. It's natural. The key is to address that, and you've done just that. Well done.

Check out this link for some ideas of how to speak to your manager https://lattice.com/library/how-to-not-sound-like-a-jerk-when-giving-your-boss
-
Christine's response has some great suggestions. This has to be tackled with the individual first, but with all emotion put aside. Use specific examples and back them up with the facts about the problems they cause for you and the rest of the team. If this doesn't work, maybe look for other teams who your manager interacts…
-
Absolutely. I feel your frustration. There is a school of thought that if an issue has been in your backlog for a while without being looked at, it may as well not be there. It is a common practice in some circles to archive tickets over a period of time that haven't been looked at. The issue is, where there is useful info…

You can also check the Atlassian Status Page for performance issues.
-
Many thanks Daniel.
-
Hi @Bill Sheboy. Thank you for responding. The "Hide completed issues older than" option seems like the simpliest option, as we do have a company managed project.
-
I can't speak for Atlassian. It may be a strategic decision on their part. Sometimes companies just have to accept there are others who can do things quicker and better than they can. Companies like Salesforce have grown big on the back of their developer community.

I wouldn't use copy and paste. Try adding the images via the UI. How you do this depends on whether you're using the Cloud or Server version. In the cloud there is this icon...

Hi Monica. Do you mean this... 1. Point 1 2. Point 2 a. Point 2a b. Point 2b 3. Point 3 If so, you can use the tab key on any list item to indent it and create the next level of the list. To return to the top level, just press Enter twice.
-
Hi David. Is this still happening? I know there were some service issues with Confluence yesterday which may have been at play here. Normally this type of behaviour is caused by some sort of bandwidth issue and is temporary.
-
Hi Kevin. There are a number of apps you can use to do this. Just do a search on "Markdown" from the Apps menu.
-
Hi Alden. No that isn't possible. There are various ways to search in Confluence. That search box is the simplest form of search, and is designed for quick and easy searching. If you want to apply filters to your search, you must use the Advanced search feature. This allows you to search withing a space.

Hi John. Raging against the machine is something that is second nature for Tech Writers in the agile world :-) Our issue is that we're a reactive group whose work is linked to Dev teams. They have their Epics which we react to and create our own set of issues to do our work. But to ensure management reporting is effective…
