I didn't know about the different ways of using genAI in Confluence.

Believe it or not, it was beer bottle tops. My dad worked in a bar!!

The meeting template is a good one for those starting out with templates. We attend meeting all the time, so this one is super useful.

A pizza isn't a pie, so I won't allow that. Neither is a key lime pie a pie :-) I know this is a US v UK debate, but a pie has to be short crust or puff pastry and covered. Personally, I'm a traditionalist. So a beef and ale pie will do me.

Much needed updates. Thank you. Now if you can just add the ability to add another row when tabbing from the last cell :-)

For the benefit of anyone else who may fall upon this thread... I've changed the custom chart settings to use our Jira project as the Source, but use a "Between dates" range. It means having to update the range each time I need the metrics, but that doesn't take long.
-
Thanks Charlie. That's definitely closer to the solution I want. What is bizarre is how the created and resolved totals are the same. I've tried this on other date ranges also and the same happens. I'm pretty sure that's not right. Anyway I'll contact the vendor as you say. Thanks again.

Thank you @Charlie Misonne. There's me thinking "m" equaled months. I've tried the capital M but that doesn't make a difference. I've also tried using -1q (q for quarter) but that isn't valid. Unfortunately using 90 days isn't quite what I want. To use my earlier example, the quarter (Dec to Feb) is 91 days. Jan to Mar…

Many thanks @Bill Sheboy That is exactly what I was after.

Glad you've found it useful Alison.

It would be good if future iterations of the palette allowed us to add custom actions. For example, run a particular filter. I understand the need for some hardcoded actions like those already in the palette, but it would be even more useful if we could add our own.

Too many to mention... * The London Wembly crowd perfectly singing the chorus of "Piano Man" in the Elton John / Billy Joel concert. Billy had health issues and couldn't sing, so Elton played his songs. * Eric Clapton at the Royal Albert Hall. * Republica at a festival near Oxford before they became famous. * Pretty much…

There's great enhancements to Quick Search here. I particularly like the label filter, search result hover, and misspelling results. Not that I mistype often :-O

Thanks for responding. The idea of automation is one I hadn't considered.
-
Thank you @Jack Brickey I'll give that a go. This is a bit of an issue as the JQL is required for an automation rule and our workflow is such that the status an issue was could be multiple statuses. I guess I'll just have to set up multiple automation rules, one for each status.
-
Hi @Hana Kučerová The concept seems to work, but the JQL query required is missing one vital piece. I ran a test using some dummy JQL to see if the idea worked, and it did. However the actual JQL required needs to include issues with a particular status, but only those that have remained in that status for more than two…

Thank you Hana. I'll test this with a scheduled task to run tomorrow AM. If this works it should really help my teams integration metrics with Tasktop.

Hi Julie. Have you tried looking into OKRs (Objectives and Key Results)? There a good introduction on them and how they fit into an agile development model at the following link. https://www.atlassian.com/agile/agile-at-scale/okr This includes some Jira and Confluence resources you can utilise to track progress.

I get the idea of mirroring in-person meeting habits, but I have a concern. We must be considerate of others and not dominate meetings. There are external factors at play in virtual meetings that no one has control over. I'm thinking of slow internet connections or other technical issues in particular, but there may be…

If you're using Atlassian products, you're more than likely in a profession that produces or uses technology. It is technology that has allowed this change in our work. An "office" can be a physical onsite location, or a space in or around your home. Here in the UK, we're finding that people looking to move home are…

OK I'm not sure if this is "insane" enough, but here goes... project = xxxxx AND type = epic AND status != "Done" AND "Target end" <= startofday(60) AND status != Cancelled ORDER BY "target end" DESC Purpose is to list all epics on our project due within the next 60 days. Over to others to beat this, which I'm sure won't…

Hi @Nick Alesandro. Yes I am in the same boat having started at my company in January 2021. However, I know the issues that affected my team prior to the pandemic. As a result I was able to answer the questions as if I was an employee prior to me joining.
-
Great. Many thanks @Andreas Springer _Actonic_ :-)

Out of interest, does anyone add a limit to another column other than In Progress? It also seems that folk add a maximum limit more than a minimum limit. It would be interesting to know if you buck either of these trends.
-
This touches on why Confluence isn't an enterprise CMS. It sounds like what you need is a like for like comparison between versions. That would allow you to see exactly what has been added, removed, or amended. Unfortunately I've not come across that functionality in Confluence.
-
Thanks for that feedback @Kevin Tuei and @Clark Everson. Ask 100 Technical Writers which CMS they'd recommend, and you'll get 100 different answers. Well at least you would if there were 100 CMSs :-) However ask 100 good Technical Writers which tool they'd recommend, and they answer with lots of questions around your…

@Andreas Springer _Actonic_ Could you post the link to the recording here? I'm just back from some PTO, and have missed the registration deadline but would be interested in viewing. Many thanks.

In the UK I can't see it being implemented by our Government anytime soon, and that's not a criticism of them. Companies, departments, and teams have already started to experiment with various approaches, so if it succeeds, so will the calls from employees to join in. Ground up rather than bottom down.
-
Thanks for that perspective @Marjorie. Because a lot of our work is led by other teams, our Jira workflow hangs off theirs. We've thought about having an epic that hangs off theirs, but that doesn't really fit the standard agile practice either. At the end of the day, you have to do what works for you, so good on you.
