Thanks @Daniel Ebers. I'm more than happy to round it up to three figures.

Hi Brittany. There is no "one size fits all" solution I'm afraid. How you do it depends on your circumstances. For example, I lead a team spread over three locations and time zones. Even those of us based out of the same location haven't met in person since the pandemic hit at the start of 2020. This makes it harder to…

Thanks for confirming Jack.

Many thanks @Earl McCutcheon

Thanks for coming back @Jack Brickey. So what happens if you're not using sprints but Kanban? The reason for this discussion was a particular use case that my team really struggles with. We're a team of Technical Writers/Content Designers who have their own project, but who are at the behest of the Product and Engineering…

I've just responded to the same question in this thread.

...and yes it can be given to any community user.

Hi Otor. Kudos feedback is a new tool that Atlassian is trialling. It allows users to send and receive recognition from other users. This group is to allow all users taking part in the trial to provide feedback to Atlassian. So just give kudos where you think it is warranted, continue using the community, and report back…

Apologies. I missed the reference to that. However I've found this ticket that suggests that this request was made some time ago, but isn't being considered :-(
-
I'd reach out to the developer of the add in directly about this.

You can link to a Confluence page from a Jira ticket. If you click on the ... icon in a ticket and select the Action menu item, there is a Link Confluence Page option. Would this do?

This doesn't sound right, and you should be very careful about downloading any file. Without knowing more, it is difficult to know what is going on. Are you using the Trello App or a browser. Either way, I'd be surprised if it would ask you to download a file when logging on. This sounds like your device has been…

This isn't possible in Confluence, and as a cloud application, the way content is displayed is controlled in part by the browser being used to display the content. You also need to understand that Confluence is not a fully blown CMS. It is a simple tool that does some things well, but not others. I'd also question why…

Hi Dan. I inherited a project recently, and the first thing I did was tackle the backlog. There were over a 1000 tickets in it, most of which hadn't been looked at for ages. I went through and analysed whether the tickets were still required. It is common for folk to run a report on their backlog, to find tickets with no…

I'd add that just because you receive a meeting invite, doesn't mean you need to attend. If the objectives of the meeting aren't clear, ask what they are before accepting. Also don't CC people on a meeting invite. There's no point. Think carefully about who you invite, and if you're not sure, ask. Don't invite the entire…

Getting to know your workmates preferences is a great way to ensure effective communication. We're all different, but we need to remind ourselves of this. As a Manager, I'd also add that knowing what makes an employee tick is vital to getting the most out of them.

Icebreakers can be useful in some scenarios, but not for every meeting. I'd only use them for longer team meetings. For shorter meetings, they'd eat up into the time available. I also think their use will depend on the team size and makeup. I can see circumstances where they would generate a lot of interaction, too much in…

Hi. How long does it take to get an application to write an article accepted? Just wondering if there is some vetting process, as it has taken a week so far.
-
Can you post a screenshot of what you're seeing? It can be hard to see sometimes exactly where people are. Maybe I'm thinking you're somewhere else :-)
-
I may be misunderstanding your issue, so excuse me if I am. When you click in the Detail View, there should be a light blue background of the ticket in the left hand panel. Yes the dark blue box disappears when you click in the detail blue, but you can still see which ticket is being displayed by that blue background.
-
It could be both, depending on the circumstances. As a manager I want my team to perform, but that takes each individual to do the same. If you ignore one over the other, you won't achieve either. Having 121s with my staff allows us to talk openly about issues, give each other feedback, and plan for the future. You can do…

There's something in this idea, but I agree with Linda that there is a difference between liking and giving Kudos. The latter is going just that little bit extra. That said, if the process of giving kudos could be simplified, it would be great. I find having to look up and remember a person's name, then search for and find…

I'm glad you find it useful. It surprised me that the "Everything Else" swimlane wasn't duplicated. I guess it is clever enough to notice that the custom query mimics it, so it isn't displayed.
-
I think I get what you're saying Nic. The sprint backlog and kanban backlog are different views of the same thing. Correct? If so, completing the last sprint and moving unfinished tickets to the backlog doesn't affect the Kanban board. If a ticket was "In Progress" in the sprint, it will still be "In Progress" in the…

I feel I should like this discussion, but think it would be going against its spirit :-)
-
Many thanks. I had a similar query and it worked for me :-)

I've not seen any reports of issues with Atlassian notifications. I'd check with your IT to see if the issue is with your exchange.

The last 15 months makes it difficult to really see the effects of stress on colleagues. You can not see body language and facial expressions on zoom as well as you can in person. As a Manager it is vitally important that I look after my staff. If I ask someone how they're doing, the stock answer is more than likely, "OK…

Don't we all :-)
