An update on this. I have continued to have this problem - updates to the Summary field in automations when creating an issue would sometimes work and at other times not. It seems that the problem is cut and paste. I have had 100% success when I have typed the summary field value that I want. Go figure.

Thanks @Bill Sheboy The Next button doesnt seem to always work, but yes, it does seem to work "most of the time". Updating the rule after each change (before leaving the field being edited) seems to be the best option. For adding to the if-then-else I am making the changes to a saved rule, not having made any other…

Perfecto. Thanks.

Have tried every combination of "", and other methods of having linked objects in a csv import file with an apostrophe (i.e. ' ) in the label, and it appears that it cant be done.
-
Yes, we were testing it on priority. But if I switch to a custom field it works. Thanks, you filled in the missing pieces of my knowledge.
-
... OK, yes, working for settting the description, but still not working for hiding fields. Is there some other secret to hiding fields? Is it for custom fields only? If I hide a custom field it seems to work.

We're using the following mapping: Do we need to do a project / issuetype mapping as well?
-
Yep, we need this. Vote for: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDSERVER-1317

Better late than never, felt like I just had to do at least this. Did waaaayyyyy better last year, will try harder next year 😁👍

@ABR that totally trumps my experience, in every way. Thank you so much for sharing, its so very exciting to hear stories like this. It never ceases to amaze me the resilience that people can find deep inside when everything seems lost. Sometimes nature comes to our rescue, rather than the other way around. You can never…

Thats great! Thank you 😁👍

@Brant Schroeder or those times that in all the billions that are available you still can find the perfect one to express what you want ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-
Cant go past ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ in my books. simple, and incredibly expressive

Just curious, @Monique vdB how much longer is the Beta going to run for?
-
Definitely. I'm struggling with this specifically at the moment. We have not educated our users (in I.T. in general) to explain what it is they are trying to achieve. They go straight for the solution but do not understand the implications of what they want, or that there might be an EVEN BETTER solution. "Why?" is one of…

I am a total superbowl bumpkin. I think I need a Foopball t-shirt too!!!

We are having exactly the same problem at the moment. We have used a combination of 2 two projects, and issue level security in one of them. The first project is the tasks to be worked on and shared, with everyone having access. The second is mostly an internal tracking project, with some tasks that need to be assigned to…

How to videos are easy to make these days. But to be of value they do require decent scripting and focused topics. I like the badge / certificate style approach - you need to get the relevant cert, and so need to watch the video / do the tasks.

Welcome!!! Lots of great information to learn from, lots of great opportunities to contribute.

Its got to be Serenity - just managing to eke out a living on the edge of the universe... no, wait, maybe not...

Nice one. Welcome!

Thanks @Adrian Hülsmann - B1NARY but we are looking for a way to put a persona icon of some kind on the board - there are only 10 avatars and the cards dont re-size well. We're just thinking we'll create the personas and then literally just use a named avatar on the Leanboard. Any other suggestions @Tam _DevSamurai_ ?
-
Have been playing with Leanboard and was wondering if it is possible to configure the persona avatars, can we add more?

Groooaaaannn. Not something I would ever consider for a precious Friday night - the browser tabs that is. I avoid it as much as possible even!
-
Nice topic! Friday nights are my fave time of the week. Similar to @Laura Holton _ACE Manchester_ we do a "easy food" and beer thing, and like @Dana M_ Jansen its a bit of a date night thing. This week it was hot dogs, often its chips (as in hot and baked, some kind of dipping sauce, such as curry sauce), and some times…

Its also inspiring being in the forest, seeing the blackened tree trunks, but with new growth coming out of them. Seeing all the green coming out of the black is heart warming - and not just a little bit weird. Knowing that the devastation is not quite as permanent as it first seems makes it a little easier. What doesn't…

Yes, and the hope came from knowing that the forest will come back. A house doesn't come back, but the forest does.
