@imalex is correct. There are a lot of different plugins that can support this. I would probably recommend that you look at JSU, JMWE and JWT first. Those are all solid collections of conditions, validators and post-functions that can be useful in many different situations. Note, I have no vested interest in any of these.

You do need to use the Greenhopper API for this. See this KB

I'm not sure that I understand the question. Jira has the ability to connect to AD built-in. Create a new User Directory that is an AD connector. You then have to define the specific OU and filter to retrieve only your Jira users (as opposed to everyone in your organization). Generally, this is pretty straightforward. If…

The answer depends on what version of Jira you are running. If you in the Cloud, you can create a custom field to hold the user who executed the Implemented Transition. Then create a condition on Reviewed that the user cannot appear in that custom field. If you are on Server, you will need a plug in to accomplish this…

There are a couple of ways that you could do this. You could add a custom field and enter the PCT complete. Alternatively, you could assign 100 hours to every task at the outset and then adjust the time remaining based on the percentage complete. This would give you a view using the Time Tracking feature. This would have…

The best way to set this up with with Conditions on the workflow transitions. You would set up a condition on the transition to Done that restricts it to users in the Developers role. Same with the other transitions. This will prevent a user from being able to move a ticket on a board to a transition that isn't valid for…

Just so that you aren't left hanging wondering why no one responded - I am aware of no tool that will allow you to do a delta transfer of a schema. This is a complex process that would require a substantial amount of coding - a good candidate for a plugin.

After a lot of experimentation, I was able to successfully attach the file with the following code: String key = 'MP-59' def newBody = "Here is a text file that I want to attach" InputStream stream = new ByteArrayInputStream(newBody.getBytes()) def resp = Unirest.post("/rest/api/3/issue/${key}/attachments")…
-
Note that I am not attaching an existing file, but a "file" that is simply a text string. Because I am in the Cloud, I can't create the file on disk first and then read it in as a file.

I don't know if you got an answer to this question. The reason it can't be seen on the Portal is that you need to add a comment that includes a link to the attachment. The comment needs to have something like: See [^<filename>]

I'll jump in - I think that "creative" employees should be expected to complete the work, not put in the time. It is up to management to balance the amount of work that is expected against the long-term productivity of the staff so that they get an optimal output over an appropriate time horizon (which may measured in…

I completely agree that burndown makes sense for Kanban against Releases and Epics. Kanban teams should estimate their stories/tasks to provide some predictability and capacity planning information. Portfolio provides some of this, but Kanban boards should also provide this type of report.

Can you indicate that this was solved by changing the title and marking it as solved? That will help others
-
try this: <a href="url" target="_parent">Title</a>
-
Use the target attribute in your <a> tag. You can either overwrite the current window or force a new tab/window to open.
-
Its not clear what you are trying to do. If you want the fields to appear in a different order on the Portal view, you reorder them in the Request Types section of the Project settings. If you are taking about the order of fields on the Create Screen that an Agent would use to create a new Issue, then you do that in the…

Sorry - wasn't paying attention. I usually work in the Server version. Try this: issue.fields[10084] == 'Value'

You could create 5 dashboards, each with the filters for the specific project. Then have your Text gadget on a primary landing page with links to each appropriate dashboard.
-
One a person has Browse Issues permission to an Issue, they can see the comments on that issue. There is no way to restrict viewing of comments unless you are using JIRA Service Desk. In that case, the users who are not members of the IT team could be restricted from seeing the internal comments by allowing them to view…

You can't reference the values of a custom field this way. Try this script: import com.atlassian.jira.component.ComponentAccessor def cf = ComponentAccessor.getCustomFieldManager().getCustomFieldObject(10084) issue.getCustomFieldValue(cf) == 'Value'

That is essentially what I expected the answer to be. It makes using the data for external reporting much more difficult.

Daniel - I have been working with Lisa on this. The specific behavior is: * Open an issue in Jira Cloud * Select "Create a Channel" under Slack Integration * Select Direct Message and click Create What happens is that the DM channel that is opened shows the other users current DM history from their personal channel. This…

Your understanding is the same as mine OR logic only. I was hoping for a way to get to the AND logic. Would be nice to have.

You might want to contact an Atlassian partner to help you get over the hurdle. My initial thought is that your workflow and your approach may be overly complicated and that you can accomplish what you are trying to do in a more straightforward fashion. That is where working with an Atlassian partner can be really helpful.…

Are you moving to Jira Server or Jira Cloud? If you are going to Jira Cloud and using the built-in importer, it is using the new Agility project instead of the classic Scrum project. You may be better of exporting the Trello data to a CSV and importing it into an existing Jira project if you want a classic Scrum project.…

I can think of two ways to do this. The first is to use the post-function in Jira Workflow Toolbox that will allow you to transition linked issues. You will need to set this post-function in every transition that should cause the linked issue to transition. This doesn't require any coding and should be pretty…

If resetting their password fixes the problem, then it would appear that it is something happening to cause passwords to expire. If you are running in the Atlassian cloud, then you should check this page: https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/password-policies-938859739.html#Passwordpolicies-Aboutpasswordpolicies If you…

We did something very similar to this. However, the macros seem to complain that the old username isn't found, even though we changed the userkeys. When we create the old username in the database, it seems to update properly. After you did the database update, did you have to refresh the cache or do anything else to…

Can you mark this as answered so that it doesn't keep showing up in the unanswered queue?

You will need a plugin to do this. Jira Workflow Toolbox has a condition that will prevent subtasks from transitioning unless their parent task is in a certain status. This is essentially the same as the built-in subtask condition, but reversed.
