Insight - how to stage object types from environment #1 to environment #2

Question

I use about 10 insight schemas with about 200 object types in a DEV environment.

Furthermore I use another two environments for TEST and for PROD.

Staging an entire schema by exporting schema without objects from DEV and importing it into TEST works well.

Later on in DEV I change some object types and I add new object types.

This is my question:

How can I stage only particular object types (e.g. the changed ones and the new ones) from DEV to TEST without having to transfer the entire schema? Currently I manually perform all these changes in the TEST-environment. Is there any function for transferring particular object types within Insight from environment #1 to environment #2? Or is there any tool/add-on available? Or do I have to program my own script – in this case, which insight internal tables do I have to access?

Just so that you aren't left hanging wondering why no one responded - I am aware of no tool that will allow you to do a delta transfer of a schema. This is a complex process that would require a substantial amount of coding - a good candidate for a plugin.
