Hi @Ayush Lawania Take a look at this thread: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Toggle-the-ability-to-add-comments-to-jira-tickets-on-and-off/qaq-p/1053087 It describes how to turn off the ability to comment on an issue. Cheers, Jens

Your best bet is to contact the support team. They will try to verify that the account does in fact belong to you.

I'm unsure what you are trying to achieve with the "issue commented" post function. Post functions are called after a transition, they do not trigger transitions. Here are a couple of links describing how to trigger a transition when a comment was added to a ticket:…

You want Confluence and Jira on a single site. You will be able to navigate between them using the apps menu (see picture below). But more importantly, features to link between Confluence and Jira will automatically be available. You would use multiple sites if you have different businesses or units that operate…

Thanks for organising the session @Krimo Khermane . Since the Q&A didn't get recorded, feel free to leave a comment here if you have questions after watching the recording.

Have you tried using Jira Automation to transition the issue? Here is a similar post that might give you an idea how to solve your issue: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Software-questions/Automation-rule-for-transition-quot-Issue-commented-quot/qaq-p/1699927

Best to contact Atlassian support to get that sorted. They will likely have a set of security questions you might have to answer to verify the account.

I don't think there is a workaround to show sub-tasks in the portal. As you mentioned, sub-tasks are intended for internal use, hence they aren't shareable in the portal.

Hi @Datpmt Jira automation provides a number of events that can be used to automatically transition issues in response to an event. I think with those events you should be able to get pretty close to what you are describing. If not, your last resort would be to use the Webhook event. Cheers, Jens

I don't think it's possible to add attachments to a release at this stage. The description field does not support rich text and the related work are purely linked items.

You will have to loop over each issue that matches the version. I believe you can do it without the lookup if there is no other condition. It will look roughly like this. Please note that I have not tested it, but hopefully it will give you an idea on how to move forward. Key is that you need to loop over each issue in the…

Can you share the rule execution audit log? Are there any error messages in the log?
-
Also I just saw that your question was from 2017 🤦♂️. Not sure why it popped up on top of my feed.

Hi @jourdanwest There is no single API call that will give you all commits across all branches. You will have to loop over all branches to retrieve the commits. However you could try to use a git command to get the information instead. For example the following will give you the commit has, followed by the username and…

Looking forward to tomorrow's sessions. Join us for a brief story from my 15 year tenure at Atlassian and some useful tips on how to up-level your customer communication!

Hi @Daniel Bourdage When you say they have their own Discovery roadmaps, does that means they use seperate projects? If all ideas are in the same project, it's fairly straight forward to create custom views using filters. If they are not in the same project, is there a reason to have them seperate?

You could try to format all in the same way. You could run GPT over your file and asked it to re-write the date without the timestamp, or write a script with a regular expression to add the time format.
-
You could use a custom field to assign an issue to multiple people. However, since the standard notifications for assignees won't be triggered, you might want to add some additional automation rules to let people know they've been assigned to a ticket.
-
The first rule can be activated by the second rule, but it is crucial to explicitly indicate that this rule can be activated by other rules in order to prevent infinite triggering loops. See the screenshot below for where to find the setting.

My brother and I loved our Walkie Talkie. We constantly used them throughout the house when "spying" on our parents. We also loved listening to audiobooks called Funkfüchse. A group of teenagers that solved crime using their Walkie Talkie. Does anyone remember this one? I always wanted my Dick Tracey watch to work like a…

Unfortunately I believe the custom filters are your only option in company-managed projects: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Software-questions/Filters-with-dropdown/qaq-p/1748848

Sure, there are a few ways to copy the set of source files from your Ubuntu machine and Mac laptop to your Bitbucket repository. (a) Ubuntu machine * Open a terminal window. * Navigate to the directory where the source files are located. * Run the following command to clone the repository: git clone…

To configure your Confluence site to be read-only for anonymous users while allowing edits from your team, you'll need to adjust the permissions settings. Here's a step-by-step guide to achieving this: Log in to your Confluence site with administrative privileges. Navigate to the space where you want to configure the…

@Nagarjuna Busireddypally That's just a guess based on the article I found above.

The only way I can think of would be to write a custom macro and render the Jira issues yourself. I don't think there is a way around the security policies.

Are there any special characters in the field name? It appears your field name might have brackets as part of the name. In that case you will have to escape those brackets: "Custom field \(new\)" https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/automation-rule-not-triggered-by-field-edit-1224769586.html

Best to ask Atlassian directly via the chat on the website. But to keep prices low, Atlassian typically doesn't do personal product demos. Hence @Valerie Knapp's suggestion to engage a partner. Another option you have is to sign up for the webinar next…

The community is probably not the best channel to ask. Is there anything specific you are looking to learn? There is a bunch of material available in this community and online. For example this short demo video from Atlassian: https://youtu.be/Zje6bMeiqjk

Hi @Nagarjuna Busireddypally If the field is updated automatically by another automation, you might have to enable an additional setting, which exists to prevent infinite loops. Take a look at this…
