The last time we got stuck with an Index issue it was due to an add-on, here is what we did. Maybe this will help: * Back-up you existing Jira Index. * Put Jira into safe mode. This disables all apps. * Shut-down Jira and manually delete the index files/folders. Jira will re-create these the next time it builds the index.…

Hmmm. Have you opened a support ticket with Atlassian Directly. Also, look at your plugins - are they up to date? One of those guys could be the culprit.

@Viva Bot , Indexing and troubleshooting index problems can be tricky. Here are two articles from Atlassian with suggestions and troubleshooting support: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/troubleshoot-index-problems-in-jira-server-203394752.html…

@admin , I think you have it backwards. Boards are related to projects. You will always need some combination of projects to have a board but you don't need any boards to have a project. If you want to get rid of the boards, you can delete them. -pjd

@Teodora V _Warsaw Dynamics_ Nice run-down of the tables in cloud! Thanks for sharing! -pjd
-
@vaithee test , Make sure the Sprint field has been added to the create screen for that issue. Here is the Atlassian documentation on how to do all things screen: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiracloud/defining-a-screen-776636475.html -pjd

I understand, I always like to keep things out of the box when possible. Good luck to you!

As a rule of thumb. Always assume you need to start with a custom filter :)

@nicholas.m.miller , If you are using Confluence Cloud this Atlassian document will explain the the data policies. https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/data-storage-faq-873871367.html If you are using the server version of Confluence, you will need to talk with your server administrator around the internal data policies.…

@Daniel Brvnišťan , to answer your specific question, No. You can't add Watchers in naked Jira. You will need to use an app to do this. I see from your screen shot you have scriptrunner so this should be pretty easy to do. Here is a previous question on the community that could help you out:…

@John Schneider , If I am understanding your question correctly, just highlight some text on the document and a you will be given a pop-up that allows you to comment or create a Jira issue. The comment should work for the annotation. -pjd

@Radu Saveanu You will need to setup a Jira instance our get the URL for one your team is already using. You can get a new instance here: Try for Free Today Or if your team has a Jira already setup, they can send you an invite to join.
-
@Josh Ansnes , for this Also is there a way to report on different labels but based on which component was selected? Take a look at the two dimensional filter gadget. https://confluence.atlassian.com/jira064/adding-the-two-dimensional-filter-statistics-gadget-720416991.html
-
@Xin Li , No - adding a mathematical formula either through additional formatting (like an equation) or through a spreadsheet (like excel) is not possible with the default Confluence. You would need to look at a third party App. -pjd
-
@Jose Lopez , My initial though is to make sure there is actually a status of [OPEN]. That error message is the one you get whet you attempt to search for a status that does not exist. -pjd
-
@border_water , Check the filter you are using for the board itself. That's the gate keeper for what actually shows on the boards. The quick filters are for further filtering the initial data set (issues). If you aren't pulling in subtasks to the board, the quick filter won't have any impact. -pjd
-
@kpuralasetty , This can be done. You will need to update the Velocity templates that Jira uses for the emails it sends. Check this article out as a starting point. There are two separate templates so follow the link for the one you want to change.…
-
@mirzawaqasahmed , Yes it is possible but not natively within Jira. Take a look at some of the Apps in the marketplace. Scriptrunner, Power Scripts, Elements Connect could all probably help. -pjd
-
@cmason , You are going to need to use the advanced configuration for your LDAP connector and use a group/user filter. As each LDAP is different, I've linked a few articles below to help you out. Connecting to an LDAP Directory: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/connecting-to-an-ldap-directory-938847052.html…

@Michel_Levy Agreed, its not a nice easy solution. I thought your question was a pretty interesting one and was hoping to find something cool out there. If you find something that works please post back here. I'd be really interested in the solution. -pjd

@Michel_Levy, I'm not aware of anything automatic. Most of the apps I have seen do thing like notify your Slack Channel when changes are made or comments are added. I do know that depending on what plan you are on in Slack, you have a variety of options to export Channels. If I remember right you can do HTML or JSON. You…

@Daniel Vianna Nope. :( Try Power Scripts or Script Runner
-
@Sam , for something simple like that, find a free tool - there are several out there. Get you feet wet and once you have some experience you can look into a paid option.

The team field is a custom field. We currently use Elements Connect to pull from a Database. We are probably going to be transitioning it to Insights once we get our CMDB up and running. However, you could just as easily create a pick-list and manually add the teams.

@al gulseth The company I work for is now implementing Jira/Jira Service Desk/ and Confluence. Hooray! We have unfortunately hired a consultant that has guided admin to have a project be a team, an epic to be a project, and a task represents an epic... thus every task must be a subtask. This isn't completely bad depending…

@Michael Lam , like Avinash said, you can';t currently Change the URL but it is coming! Take a look at this Atlassian Doc for more information: https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloudkb/changing-the-cloud-instance-url-address-or-migrating-to-a-new-cloud-instance-691011835.html it looks like you only option until they get…

@Ali Adib , you will need to update this property jira.table.cols.subtasks on the Admin -> AdvanceApplicationProperties page. That said, it looks like there may be an issue where even if you customize the property, the fields will display inconsistently. https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-70206…

@Sam , Big question. I think you need to narrow it down a bit on what you are looking to monitor. Are you looking for something simple like "is my server up or down?" or complex like gauging user experience? We use PRTG for server basics although I have used Nagios and Solarwinds in the past. We also monitor Issue create…
