Thanks for the tips! #2 it is. :)
-
@Alyssa Warren , we just finished our move from Server to DataCenter this past weekend. I would be happy to discuss.
-
@Mike Bailoux , I'd open a ticket with Atlassian as it looks like a bug. I am able to create issues from action in Confluence but not always on the first try. For example, I created a task (task#1), published the page, selected the text, created a Jira issue and the Jira issue was linked to the confluence page. Repeat for…

@Brett May , Not a Bitbucket Expert but did you follow this process for setting up the Service Account? https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucketserver/running-bitbucket-server-as-a-windows-service-776640048.html Also, is there anything in the logs showing an error when the service tries to start? -pjd

That too :)

@Vishnu C , A few questions: * What type of field is this? Depending on the field, it will show up in a different location, date fields are in the date section, people fields are in the people section, etc... * You also need to make the custom field is on the screen associated with the View screen. There are three: Create,…

@Natalia Soares , Hipchat has been retired. Try looking at Mattermost for an on-prem replacement. I know Herzum has developed a connector for Mattermost for Jira, not sure if they have it integrated with Confluence yet. -pjd
-
Try using the FQDN instead of the IP Address
-
@Vinh Nguyen , when you add a New User Directory (select Jira Server), there is a spot to specify the Jira server URL. You can use this format: http://www.example.com:8080/ Where you can specify any server port you want. -pjd
-
@Tom Buchanan , for basic card colors, you can always use the JQL and tie the queries to the Statuses. As far as more complex queries, you would need some app to extend the basic JQL capabilities. This will however, only add a colored bar to the left side of the issue. I believe there is an app in the marketplace that will…

@Bridget , I started my career in the public sector and the challenges can be quite different than those in the private. Awesome to see Atlassian with an event focused on these specific needs! -pjd
-
@Sandra Muller , The statuses are going to be part of the drop-down under Status on the Jira issue. Just click on the Status that is currently showing and you can pick the one you want. As far as changing that behavior, it is not possible. The UI is set by Atlassian. -pjd
-
@Juan Velandia , In cloud, navigate to Jira Settings -> Issues -> Statuses. When you edit a status or create a new one, there will be a drop down in the middle of the dialog box that allow you to select the Status Category. As far as creating new or modifying existing Status category, I don't believe this is possible. -pjd

I would start with the basics, CPU utilization, Memory Utilization, HDD free space.

@Qvest Digital AG it sounds like you need to customize the login gadget. Check out this article for customizing it for Jira: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/customize-the-login-gadget-in-jira-server-225122084.html Confluence looks to be a bit different. Check out this article too:…
-
@Vinh Nguyen Check this Atlassian Article out. 1/2 way down the page. https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/connecting-to-crowd-or-jira-for-user-management-229838465.html -pjd
-
Justin that Link is the way to go.
-
@Matt Schmitt , not really. If it its cloud you are going to get whatever is included in the newest release. With server, you could try to identify the system app responsible for the new feature and disable it but you should NOT do this. it can cause big problems with Confluence. -pjd
-
JMWE sure is available for Server. Just change the hosting options drop-down. I linked the default earlier. https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/292/jira-misc-workflow-extensions-jmwe?hosting=server&tab=overview
-
@ChrisR , check out this Atlassian document on configuring customer fields. The section on Contexts should be most helpful. https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/configuring-a-custom-field-938847235.html -pjd
-
@ChrisR , in naked Jira this is not possible however, there are a number of apps that can help you. The simplest one is going to be JMWE: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/292/jira-misc-workflow-extensions-jmwe?hosting=cloud&tab=overview Any field can be cleared on transition with this one. You could also do this…
-
@TB Group , take a look at this Atlassian article: https://confluence.atlassian.com/confeval/jira-service-desk-evaluator-resources/jira-service-desk-auto-assign-issues -pjd
-
@Tina Kochar , @Boyan Angelov (Nemetschek Bulgaria) is right on the money, create a calendar that is specificities for each customer and then associate that calendar to the corresponding goal from before.
-
Are you pointing to the correct version of Java 32-bit vs. 64-bit?
-
are the permissions on your new server setup correctly?
-
@Tina Kochar , We are just starting our adventure into Service Desk here ant my company so I will will offer advice based on my research so far. If it's off, I apologize in advance. :) It looks like you can set up multiple SLA Goals and then use JQL to associate Jira issues to those goals. If this is the case, you could…
-
@gaurav.trivedi , are you getting any type of error either on-screen or in the log files?
-
@Capps , I would keep the bugs in Jira and then use the Jira Issue Macro in Confluence to display each item. You can structure the JQL so that only open bugs are displayed. -pjd
-
@Margot Sharapova , Just saw you tag for Cloud. The add-on about is only for server. Sorry about that.
-
@Margot Sharapova , I haven't seen anything out of the box but there is a Sharepoint Connector by Communardo that may work for you. https://support.communardo.de/display/SPCON https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/235/sharepoint-connector-for-confluence?hosting=server&tab=overview -pjd
