Interesting point Rob. Not sure I have an answer....... Maybe to help AR be able to sequence up all the sprints from a board and present it on the timeline, based on whichever team it is configured for? and!!! if you didn't associate a board with a team, I'm not sure how setting the capacity could be done.

Hi @Rob Horan Go to the roadmap views and select Teams. click the the more options (the 3 dots) on the team required and select Edit. From there you should be able to add or edit the issue source for the team.
-
I second @Ste Wright advice.
-
I suspect you are right @Karl Rothenberg as I note that OPSP-2 entry in Ops Rox has a > next to it, signifying that it has child tasks under it, where the Ops Project entry does not.
-
That is not what he means @Belto What @Dave Kleihorst is saying is; it is surprising that an Initiative (which is above an Epic, in the hierarchy) is an option for selection when you go to create an issue to be a child of an Epic. I have experienced this and it creates a very odd scenario where the Initiative is a child of…

@Karl Rothenberg What are you grouping by in that screenshot? Also what are your Issue sources for the plan? Whole projects or individual boards? If boards, what are the filter queries of those?
-
Hi @Lena Boiser Welcome to the community. Try this: * Ensure the plans scheduling section is configured for Days or Hours * Add the Estimates field (in will show in either days or hours) * Add the Progress (Days) or (Hours) * Filter to show only content for a given Release See how that helps 👍

Thanks for those clarifications @Rohan Swami much appreciated.
-
Right @Anja Brkljacic thanks for the context. Based on what you've said, it is a shame the personal spaces were ever created (which is just one of the reasons why soooo many people didn't/don't like the idea). I would suggest (after warning people) that you delete or archive the personal spaces and turn off the ability for…
-
@Anja Brkljacic what you describe is how confluence works. Where you are, is where your page will be created. Just like in a Microsoft folder structure, if a user is in their personal folder and they go "right click, create new" it will create it there. In both cases, they can be moved retrospectively if placed in the…

Cheers @Paula Hidalgo That is a cool API trick (that I didn't know could be done). That said, I have made the change already. I knew I was the owner of many key Board filter queries, so went and updated them and sent out comms and put up a banner to warn people. But we do have smaller numbers....I changed 8K with over on a…
-
Yes @Kresten that is correct, you will be able to have more than one issue type at the traditional "Epic" level of the hierarchy. But I can understand your apprehension in making the move while you are dealing with a mess and still getting a feel for the company. Good luck! and have fun!!
-
No @Mary Boyd Only that, in time there will be new JQL options "Parent" and the ability to change names and add to the hierarchy.... if you want to.
-
Thanks @Mykenna Cepek I have checked most of those and indeed i do get "explainable" errors from time to time with such (global) rules. But in this case, their is no consistency as the screenshot demonstrates (3 examples all in the same Project, where 2 out of 3 work, one doesn't) I did this morning wonder if it is…
-
Maybe.....I can have a go at a theoretical based on some assumptions. Assumptions: * The new people do not exist in your Jira instance * nor do they exist in your identity provider (let's say that is Microsoft's Active Directory for this exercise) Create an Employee issue type and a set of custom fields that align with…

Right, due to the overlapping dates. I would raise this with Atlassian support, but my money is on it (the date discrepancy) being timezone related (which sux). Just out of curiosity, what time of day did the sprint that ended on March 7, end? was it prior to or after 11.41am (your timezone).
-
@Kresten you should be able to at least do the renaming part already. I have done it, but at this stage the Epic panel (in the backlog view) is still called Epic panel. the Epic link field is still in play etc. So still somewhat confusing for people, But we have been calling Jira Epic's "Features" for so long, people are…
-
Do you have Shared teams set-up with their Board/s as the issue source as per the link I posted? As I think that is required for the magic to happen. Beyond that, I'd raise it with Atlassian support.
-
Only other option I can think of....commission someone to make a Confluence plug-in for you that can do what you want, with the content you need. But, $$$
-
What do you mean by "scheduled" @Rob Horan ? I'm struggling to picture what you mean.
-
To get the teams timeline (and sprint) data to show on a plan, follow this View and edit teams in your Advanced Roadmaps plan | Jira Software Cloud | Atlassian Support and ensure that the inferred dates section of the plans schedule is set to "Sprint dates"
-
Hi @Sarah Daily If the people filling out the form know which project (or can be easily reminded which project) why not have a centralised location where the forms (yes a form for each project) links are located. I'm thinking a Confluence page (but could be Sharepoint, or whatever) where you get a wee blurb about what each…
-
Hi @Janet Dixon From what I can tell, it is "powered by Unsplash" Beautiful Free Images & Pictures | Unsplash and being presented up to all Confluence cloud customers via the header image section you are referring to. Consequently, this is not something you are likely to be able to critique and edit from your instance…
-
Hi @Kerolos Ashraf Welcome to the community. I take you want to name a person (who is to be onboarded at the organisation you work at) in Jira and have that automatically create a Microsoft account/email for them? I'm sure this could be done, but as far as I am aware, there is nothing "out of the box" that you can purchase…
-
Yes!!! I have done similar. Cracking the URL with the right smart values in the right places (as you have done), so that it always works is a very handy breakthrough. I love it.
-
Good question @Rob Horan I think it must have to do with timezones as I've got the same issue. Like Advanced Roadmaps is on a different timezone to jira...or something. What timezone as you on compared to Jira time, as I am out by 12 hours, so get these oddities from time to time.
-
Ensure the plan has story points as the Estimation type in the Scheduling section of the plan configuration
-
Check in the plans scheduling section that Story points is ticked (not Days) as the estimation option.
-
March 7 to March 24 is only 14 business days, not 15. As 24 is a Thursday. So 75 - (1x5 people) =70
-
Hi @Thomas Björklund No, I don't think that can be done....currently. I know Atlassian are working on creating a more holistic "Team" concept across their products, but that is about all I know at this point. I like your idea though!!! The other thing worth pointing out is, currently (and this IS likely to change) adding…
