This is cool, but i'd rather see key functionality enabled for the Team field like; * Being able to select it and see the team values directly within the Edit work item action or a new Edit Team action in Automation * Being able to hide the Team field with a default on JSM request types, to achieve known initial triage…

Don't have spaces in the Release title. Go with something link Mobile_Android and make that the search criteria. Or possibly, Leave the titles as is, but only search for Android and iOS. But that might not be enough??

Hey @Corey Hemingway I don't believe it is creating two stories with the same key (or even two stories at all). I've seen this also, but never found any evidence of the duplicate. I believe it is just a quirk of the automations audit log.

Hi @Antwyne You could add a form at a point in the workflow and a comment for the next agent to fill out using automation. Then at the end of the workflow you could PDF up the form for archiving...if needed. To me, this sounds like something that could all be achieved with JSM with a form or two. Including the…

Hey @alex.webber I've just been reading through this as I've been asked a similar question and was looking for ideas. 1. I'd be interested to know what you have ended up doing as your solution. 2. I wondered if using a location field would have made sense in your scenario? As in, ask them where they are and work out the…

You can also do this with a post function on the Create transition of the sub-tasks workflow, using the post function: Copy Value From Other FieldCopies the value of one field to another, either within the same issue or from parent to sub-task.

I agree with @Bill Sheboy and can add that the linking between an Idea in JPD and an issue in Jira software is the ïmplements' link type. there are a number of them added/in use for JPD functionality, all easy to recognise (in the back-end/admin section) due to them all beginning with Polaris.

Hi @Irina Mosina _TechTime_ No timeline set currently. Though was imagining soonish. How about you guys?
-
Love it. Though I'm not sure this is where I would get a beginner to start with automation 🤯
-
I agree with @Jeff Tillett that ultimately this would be a Assets based solution, with JSM as the front end. No need for Excel or Confluence, unless you want a page to view the objects from using the new Assets macro in Confluence.
-
-
Great question @lgolden I can't say I have a confident answer. So here is a question for you: Are you on JSM Premium? and thus have access to Assets?? As what I have seen is the combination of Affected Services and Assets used to create a hierarchy (Top level, Affected Services, then have a lower level(s) as objects in…

@Ariane Giraud Is there an approval step on that transition? If so, you'll need to by-pass it by introducing another non-approval based transition, or remove the existing approval to get the rule to do the transition. That said, these kinda defeat the notion of having an approval step for that part of the workflow. Might…

Thanks @Annie Lieu ultimately it would be good to be able to pick which macros on a page by page (Summarize by Summarize) basis. As, on one page the expand macro may be not content you would want included, but on another page it is.
-
Good question @Shawn Doyle - ReleaseTEAM I don't know the answer, but I like the idea of being able to exclude macro content, for example.
-
The simple solution here, if you want automation to do the transition, is to remove the condition.

Hi @John Scheffer Welcome to the community! Create a rule with the scheduled trigger, set it for as often as you desire/require (daily perhaps). Then do a lookupObjects action using AQL to find the Objects that will expire within the next 14 days. Do an advanced branch on smart value {{lookupObjects}} and then do the…

Oh, this is a very welcome feature. 👌
-
How long is a while? As free tier sites auto close after 6 months of inactivity. So that might be the answer?
-
Automation for Jira has been a Golden egg generating duck for Atlassian, for sure. But in this case they are not killing the duck, but rather changing how they package the eggs and applying a direct pricing to any customers exceeding the packaged thresholds. As for the Actions button, it makes sense to bundle both workflow…

Hi @Donna Benton have you tried these? Solved: Auto alignment due date between linked tasks (atlassian.com)
-
I have to agree with you both and I believe it has the potential to negatively impact many a company that has automated the hell out of their instance.
-
I agree with @Darryl Lee and will add: Why would you turn off ALL notifications (rather than curating and controlling them) and then try and reinvent the wheel with a bespoke system?
-
Hi @ayala bachrach Welcome to the community. In terms of using Jira for performance management of people. Yes, it certainly can be done. The main concern IMO would be ensuring privacy for the people being managed. Again, doable, but would need thinking about.
-
@[deleted] You don't want to put {{lookupIssues.Budget Comsumption.Sum}} as the JQL for the lookup. You need to put that in the Edit Budget Comsumption action. You put the JQL that will provide the content in the look up
-
HI @Tim Florencki I bet the answer is no, but it is a great idea. Push the Give feedback button and suggest it!
-
Hi @Tia Nelson Welcome to the community! That is a great suggestion. It would indeed be a helpful feature. May I suggest that you send this feedback directly to Atlassian, via Give feedback in the Help section of Confluence.

Cheers @Hana Kučerová I love red (and any other colour) wine!!! Had a lovely Malbec, just last night. Giunta Malbec Nouveau 2022 || Decibel Wines

What @Dirk Ronsmans said.
-
From what you have said @Darryl St_ Pierre I would suggest you just need to stick to Company managed, then the tickets can flow between all your JSM projects. Yes, ideally they all use the same core set of fields, but there can be exceptions. Same with workflows. It is great if they can all use the same, but if not, fear…
