Good question @Alan Tragarz The automation only pertains to one project, so if they are working across lots of projects, they could choose if they should be configured in the automation rule or not. If they are working with.creating content for lots of teams within the one Jira project, i would recommend they are not…

HI @Alan Tragarz Yes, there are two fields you can select, "Progress (Story Points)" & "Progress (Issue count). both of these will show a % completion rate (of an Epic's Stories amalgamated points) See Initiative below (with points from Stories 2 layers down the Hierarchy) Yes, you can decide how long you show "Done"…

The Planning Poker app looks like a cool /fun idea. Perfect for these remote working times!
-
@Angel Todorov Are you on Jira Cloud Premium, or just cloud, or......?? Regardless, you would need to add the Story Point field to whatever Screen scheme the Initiative issue type is using (you need to be an Admin to do this). Then, you should be able to sum up the story points from Epic to Initiative by using the lookup…

Hi @[deleted] Regarding 1. In the filters section (at the bottom) untick the "Show full hierarchy" box. Regarding 2. Adding a filter doesn't filter the existing Issue sources, it adds another issue source. So by adding your new filter, you have just added everything that the filter retrieves into your plan. Each Issue…

Yes!!! Jira Work management has some great features and has helped solve Business needs we were in-flight with. Am experimenting with Product Discovery currently, which the few of us that have had a play, believe could solve other business needs. All of the Point A products look amazing, but one step at a time 😊

Same. Hadn't rolled through when I left the office yesterday, but sorted now. Thanks!!!

Sadly, we are encountering more Calendar view oddities @Jane Yeoh Today, no-one can see any of the "Done" issues in the calendar. Thus, April appears empty (it wasn't empty yesterday) and May etc are missing them. This happened to one person the other day, but closing and reopening their browser fixed it. But today, we are…

Based on the error message, it is either as @Callum Carlile _Automation Consultants_ has described, or you haven't opoulated the "To" field of the Send email Action.
-
@John Funk do you concur that this has (mysteriously) been resolved?
-
It has corrected itself today. Which is great....but I wonder what happened yesterday 🤔
-
Just created a brand new JWM project....same issue
-
Brilliant. So easy to fix. Now I can get back to loving Product Discovery.......and the weekend.
-
Thanks @Bill Sheboy great suggestion, but I can only access the API from the office. But!!! the answer is embarrassingly simple. You can change the name of the field...in the UI (insert Homer Simpson "D'oh!" here). Thanks to @Tanguy Crusson for the revelation. https://www.loom.com/share/26cd00f2c5f94b848b90ed91ee6f7418

Sure @Daniel Engzell Trigger = Issue Created Condition is; User Condition (where Reporter = the team members) Action = Edit issue (editing the team field) Note: Use the If/Else condition if you want the one rule to handle more than one team (as below)
-
Yeah, we do it on Cloud with the built-in Automation for Jira. Which is really simple for people to use. We do it per project and the Scrum masters look after their own teams. In other words....spread the load. That said, yes, it does come with maintenance as people move through teams and isn't right for everyone.
-
Right. Those "server compromises" are quite severe (I haven't used AR/Shared Teams on Server). Unfortunately I think you are stuck, as you are right, AR will only accept the Team field. Only idea I can think of that may help is; If you have an automation tool (Scriptrunner/Automation for Jira etc)?? You could at least auto…
-
Not that I am aware of @Kathryn Jackson but it would be awesome! Was only yesterday I was removing licenses from inactive users and wondering if/when Automation for Jira might add Admin automation. with options like "Late activity date is greater than....." etc.
-
Thanks @Sara Hekmat makes sense. This is awesome to have!!!
-
Hi @Jason Phillips What do you mean by legacy automation? Do you mean the plug-in version for on-prem JSM etc.? Certainly with cloud based automation for Jira you could do your 2 easily. For example: When issue created If issue type = SR then edit issue field "request type" to be "Get IT Help - SR" you could use the…
-
Hi @Chris P_ Not sure this is possible (at this stage) and I think the key is in the name "Shared" Teams. The ability to us a team anywhere has advantages, but yes! does mean all teams are always visible from the Picklist. I'll assume your on Jira Cloud?? (as we are). What we do is prefix the team names with their Jira…

I think It is available of Cloud standard @Joseph Chung Yin , but has restrictions on Multi Project and Global rule executions. Agreed plug-in for non-cloud 👍 Definitely be good to know exactly what setup @hdave is using.
-
Good questions @Joseph Chung Yin I always assume people are on Cloud ☁

Using Automation for Jira you should be able to populate your variance field by putting something like this in it. As in, use the edit issue action, select the Variance field and add: {{(issue.baseline date).diff(issue.due date).days.abs}} Then hit "enter" on your keyboard (to make it stick) Have a look at this page for…

No @Becky Broderick there is no such concept (as due date) at the project level...that kind of info is expected to be contained within the issues of the project. I think you would have to do some cunning alphabetical naming contention of the project to get them in a distinct order....which might be overkill.
-
Being able to clone a project right down to the automation rules as @Jonas Börnicke has suggested would be cool. Not sure I would want the People section copied over though, as surely each project has quite a distinct line-up of people.
-
All the best @Dave I'll miss your AR wisdom.

Team capacity is linked to the sprint, via the Board that the sprint is in being referenced as the issue source for the shared team (at least that is how it is on Cloud). So, the best way to free up the capacity is to remove from the sprint (as it is the sprint capacity that is being visualized) I'm not sure if removing…
-
At this stage...it appears not, as Create and Edit are bundled together in the same "Advanced Roadmap Users" section of the permissions. That said, if you are happy to let them edit....why not create as well?
-
I think you are right, as in there is only a predefined list of fields that roll-up. Only way I can think of to do custom fields would be to create a new field that could story whatever rolled up value you want and use Automation for Jira (or the like) to doing the SUM/roll up.
