Oh wow @Summer Hogan that is a pretty neat memory! I hope to be there in Vegas to see you win big with 14 and 23, and it's really neat that they continue to show up in mysterious ways. Also, I never thought of ladybugs being rare in parts of the world but it makes sense! One time at my in-laws house in Pennsylvania we had…

Good luck charms do not have to be tangible objects, and this is proof of that - it also helps when research backs it up. Do you have a specific exercise(s) that you do for big events that are you go to? If this was my good luck charm then leg exercises would be mine because I do not like leg day but I feel oh so much…

@Barbara Szczesniak you bring up a good point. Of course when you say "rabbit's foot" I immediately go to Mission Impossible 1. There are moments during the gardening season where I wish I had a rabbit's foot (or several) instead of the rabbits, but I have plenty of fencing this year.

Hello @Ananjan_miniOrange Thank you for the kind words! That's pretty cool that you have a watch as your lucky charm! I like it even better that it is on your wrist so it's more visible (unlike me who rarely looks down at my socks), so it's like a charm that keeps on giving throughout the day! Your mention of a watch…

Aww thank you @Emily _ DevSamurai! This is your opportunity to create a lucky charm! If you do I want to hear about it!
-
Wow what a discovery @Amanda Barber! Your great-grandpa was your good luck charm it sounds. I would be ecstatic if I found hundred of pressed four leaf clovers around the house!

Weren't you just in Toronto for a CLC? ;)

I have never heard of Kala Jamun but now I need to find a way to try it! Growing up my dad would always eat with his hands at an Indian restaurant and as a young'un I was so embarrassed. Now that I am an adult I am less likely to care (after all, am I going to see these people again?) Nic, I agree with you that esp with…

Gulab Jamun all the way! It's so rich, we used to make it at home growing up and it was the only Indian sweet I really liked! Of course as a young kid back then I paid no thought to how many I should eat, but now I'm lucky if I can eat 2. Savory - can't go wrong with a veg biryani. And I of course have to eat it with my…

I've reached the point in life where I expect the calendar year to have periodic holidays off. In the States, the time between July 4 and the 1st Monday of September feels like the longest stretch but it doesn't feel too bad as most of us (including myself) takes a vacation or two (when everyone else is). Family day is a…

I can take March 11

I watched it, we had friends and tacos (the friends were not the tacos, they were/are human)! I wasn't rooting for either team as I am a Ravens guy and they didn't make, and then I wanted the Lions in but of course it didn't happen. I was rooting for the 49ers b/c my wife and I randomly pick opposing teams and whoever…

Oh my goodness why am I just stumbling into this now!!

Speaking of planning, I started working on a talk I will be giving at a conference in a month about 3 weeks ago, and I'm almost done - just doing some touch up. Normally I wait until the last minute - it's insane for me to get ahead on deadline-oriented work. Now let's be honest, me getting ahead in this one area means…

This is a good tip

Hello @Juliann Otto , Each board is driven by a filter (query). If you already have some mechanism in place that differentiates between your product backlog and your different clients, I would include that in the board filter by simply editing the filter query (accessible via Configure Board > General > Edit filter query).…

@Barbara Szczesniak that's very interesting! Now I'm wondering what habits I'm forming with my daughter that will persist later on in life...hmmmm
-
@Laurie Sciutti I'm going to invite you to our next movie night b/c my wife and I always see these actors/actresses in movies/TV Shows and we cannot figure out where we have seen them!
-
@John Funk I do the same thing too with my food!! Whenever I eat a PB&J sandwich, I always eat the crust off first so I can enjoy the soft, gooey parts of the middle. Problem is that the peanut butter and jelly ooze out the sides (or maybe that's not a problem?). I also cannot fall asleep unless I am wearing thick wool…

idk if "entertainer" is the right word but right now I'm feeling loosey goosey and the winter blues are making me long for more social things haha. I am digging the avatars though

Haven't been big on going to sport events (or I guess spending a lot to go to them) but since we live in a college town I do get swept up into home games (e.g. traffic, partying, loud music, etc). It's funny since our church is located right in downtown just a couple blocks from the university on game days the mix of heavy…

I like the definition of the difference between a project and a goal, this is how I understand it in my mind when I just look at how it is designed, where it trips me up is when the Atlas project is linked to a Jira Epic. I know Epics are finite (or designed to be) so linking an Atlas project (aka team) that isn't…

When I first started in my career I always looked forward to taking the time off between the holidays - now I want to work during those days for the reasons everyone else has mentioned - it's quiet!! Never thought I'd reach that point!
-
For me, the turning point was finally figuring out how to run a hybrid event that works for our chapter, I ran several experiments throughout the year but it became self-evident when we figured out how to make it work, after going through a year of trying and failing it feels good to have a breakthrough!

I'm not a noisy suit kind of guy, but gotta break out of my comfort zone every now and then (also unexpectedly won this XL light-up suit at a white elephant) (and yes, I am full on wearing another suit under this suit!)

Wishing you the best of luck - good times are ahead!!

I know you're doing client onboarding, but I helped implement an onboarding process for our new hires at my company using Jira Work Management. The different views are helpful with JWM b/c we have 30 day and 90 day checkins. So here's kind of how it works: * Have a workflow with statuses for "orientation", "Post…

We stumbled into this functionality when we were setting up our production migration on Friday, since we didn't plan for this and had planned to do post-migration work to recreate the project boards we scrambled to do a test migration at the last minute to check this functionality out. Our test into the sandbox environment…

I recently did a migration that had 3000 domains, I simply reached out to Atlassian support and they took care of it. Hope this helps!
