Hello @SheshaChandra I imagine if you do not use an asset custom field, then you would have to include the url to the asset in some sort of text field. Is there a reason why you are avoiding the asset objects field?

Hello @SDSK , It depends on specifically what you want to learn, but I would start with the ACP-620 which covers the basics of managing Jira projects in Cloud (or the 610 if you are on Data Center). Then I would pursue the ACP-120 to understand Jira administration (or the ACP-100 if you are on Data Center). Hope this helps!
-
Hello @Zac Jury , So that tells me that you are on Jira Data Center not Jira Cloud - the functionality to store the sort order of comments by user does not exist yet, however I did find this ticket that is in progress and is currently being worked on. I would not be surprised if in the very near future you get this…
-
Hello @Zac Jury and welcome to the Community! This is currently not possible in Jira Cloud, however, you can vote on a suggestion here to drive this suggestion towards the top of consideration! Hope this helps!

Hello @Riza Marie Fermalan and welcome to the Community! I am assuming that your question is within the title of your post. If so, I'm happy to answer! Most of the people at our company access our project through the Help Center! We aliased the link so it's easier to remember, which is nice. Other organizations I work with…

Hello @sunita gupta , Can you expand on the phrase "Not showing up in records," does that mean that the Description field does not appear at all or that it appears but is always empty? You can always check the issue history to see when the Description field was changed (Activity Section > History (bottom of issue screen).…

Hello @Daniel Good and welcome to the Community! I noticed that you tagged Jira Service Management. If so, then you can include special instructions for filling out the form by going to the Request Type settings and adding text in the Instructions box. This information would appear for your end users using the customer…

Hmmm, doesn't look like it's possible in the UI, your next best bet would be to set the field configuration on the JWM project to have that field required. Hope this helps
-
Whoa! Uploading your own training into this application is awesome for me and something I see myself heavily utilizing!

Hello @will ferguson Could you provide additional details on what you mean by "Align the SLAs" and "Reporting on what SLAS have been configured in Jira"? You can write JQL queries based on SLAs, typically they would start with "Time to ....". However, if you want to see the SLA configuration - you need to be a project…

Thanks for clarifying! It's good that you have Automation. You can't copy the value from the parent issue into the sub-task issue when you launch the Create Issue screen - you would need Scriptrunner Behaviours for that. However, you can update the Department field after the sub-task is created with the value from the…
-
Hello @Ken Loh , I noticed you have Jira Service Management Server - if you have the Automation for Jira application installed on your instance, you can copy the value using an automation rule. Similarly, if you have a scripting application already installed (Scriptrunner, PowerScripts, etc), you can write a custom script…
-
Hello @Kseniya Nesterova the {{}} were part of what you needed to plug in, I should have clarified. Your query may look something like: project = "NAME" and created >= "2023-04-18"
-
Hello @Kseniya Nesterova The JQL you posted is invalid. * The created field requires a date value(s), not another clause, such as what you have in parantheses * The "IS" operator only works when checking for the presence/absence of values * The "Sprint in openSprints()" will only look for issues where the sprint value has…

Can't Wait!

Hello @Harihara and welcome to the Community! Is your custom date field named "Custom Date"? Can you post a screenshot of your automation rule? Your syntax for the smart values looks right, I'd suggest logging the "issue.Custom Date" value to the audit log in the automation rule as well as the {{issue.Custom…

Hello @[deleted] In Cloud, on the view/edit screen, because this is inline editing it would be too cluttered to show the full description. However, when you hover over a field, and click on the (i) icon, you'll see the field description there: Hope this helps!

Hello @Stafford Palmieri Inactive workflows are automatically saved and because they are not tied to a project, there is no need for version control. Once you apply this workflow to a workflow scheme that is then associated to a project, you will see the publish button when you try to edit it again. Hope this helps!
-
Hello @Joe Stack As you've noticed, it's not available using the native functionality available in Jira. It looks like there's an open ticket here asking for this functionality to be added. Hope this helps
-
Hello @Kishor Mudhili Did you create your JSM project using a template? If so, did you create it with the IT Service Management template? This is the only template that includes pre-configured items for the various ITSM modules, such as Incident, Service, and Change Management.

Hello @subhasree and welcome to the Community! It looks like this is a team-managed project - is that the case? If so, then your boards are limited to data within the project. I'd suggest using a company-managed project to achieve the functionality you're looking for. Hope this helps!
-
Hello @beth.sutton and welcome to the Community! Boards are merely views into your project data, and they are driven by a filter. In your automation rule, you want to create 2 issues (what you refer to as cards) with the same information, but set some information on them so the board filter picks those cards up and…
-
Hello @Emir and welcome to the Community! It sounds like Automation rules would be your best option to accomplish what you've described here. I envision 1 or 2 automation rules here: #1 Trigger: Issue Transitioned (to the Done status) Action: Create Issue (specify fields and type from the task you want to copy from) or…

No problem! If this answer helped, would you mind accepting it so others that come across it can easily move forward? Thank you!

@Danisse looks pretty close! Can you try {{issue.comments.last.body.substringAfterLast(":"}} You may need to escape the quotes inside the substringAfterLast parameter because you are already inside a quoted string for customfield_13835. Additionally, you should just be able to plug in this smart value in the field…

Hello @Ganesh Gunukula Here's a quick start guide to asset management in Jira Service Management Cloud. Here's a link to the documentation for asset management if you would like to explore further. I do want to mention that the asset management module is available in Jira Service Management Cloud with the Premium or higher…
-
Hello @Danisse It sounds like smart values may be the solution here. Here's a link to some of the text expressions available for use in smart values. I think you may find the right and substring functions to be the best use case for you. In terms of grabbing the last portion of the most recent comment, you'll probably end…

Hello @Julia Eden and welcome to the Community! We're kind of limited when it comes to using native functionality available in Jira (see this discussion) but there are a number of marketplace applications that would be worth an extra look to help you get the information you need in an easy-to-consume format. Here's a…
-
It's interesting to see part of this discussion stems from a recent/ongoing migration - which of course is a great opportunity to do an audit and optimize where possible. I'm somewhat in a similar boat as well (migration won't happen till later this year) so I'm keeping a closer eye on past neglected items. Terms such as…

Hello @Danno, not sure if you have a specific question here except for getting started. Atlassian has a quick start guide available here: https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/service-management/product-guide/getting-started/quick-start-guide#introduction. Hope this helps!
