Hi @Jennifer Lamont What about an advanced checklist where you list the task, person associated, and due date? You won't be able to search by assignee, but it could be a good compromise to avoid creating lots of mini issues. This is what it could look like with the app Elements Checklist The tags on your post indicate you…

Hi @Arevik Hakobyan You probably will want to clone and move the issue to the right JS project. There are a couple ways you can do that: native Jira features, with Automation, with an app. To get an overview of how each option works and the pros and cons of each, try this guide on cloning and moving in Jira.

@Madhu Reddy Have you tried the Cloud Calculator? https://www.atlassian.com/software/pricing-calculator
-
Hi @Nancie Gari I'm not sure I understand your question. You want to filter left to right, so hide/display columns? Wait, I think what you mean is to have dependent fields, so if you chose something in A2, the drop down options in B2 are based on that option. This isn't possible with Elements Spreadsheet currently, since…
-
Hi @Vladimir Vladimirov This discussion includes links to the change request with the Automation team for this feature as well as a possible work around. Another option would be to try an app like Elements Copy & Sync .If you are close to the limit of global rule executions with Automation, Copy & Sync has the advantage of…
-
Thanks for the recommendation @Piet Pieters ! @Pavel Rusakov If you want to try your use case with Elements Copy & Sync, you can set up a field mapping to synchronize just the custom fields you want.
-
Hi @Shah Baloch , You can probably set up a rule with Automation for Jira. Another option would be to try an app that requires less coding, such as Elements Copy & Sync. I wrote a blog post on how you can clone an issue to another project based on a custom field using the app. Hope those resources help, Laura
-
Hi @Ish You can manually trigger automations (here's the documentation), but I wrote a blog article comparing different options on how to clone and move. If you are looking to really reduce the number of steps, you will probably need to use an app; check out these clone and move apps on the marketplace. Laura

Thanks for the suggestion @Mikael Sandberg @Jose Manuel Muguiro Here is the page on the documentation for Elements Connect that explains how to associate a custom field to a request type. If you have any problems getting this set up, don't hesitate to contact Elements support.
-
Hi, I don't think you will be able to do this out of the box with Jira, but there are some apps that might help. The app Elements Copy & Sync (I work for the vendor behind the app) could help you because you can create field mappings for the issues you create using the app, and you could use Velocity variables to make the…
-
Hi @Alex , This blog on how to clone and move jira issues might help. It covers how to clone and move with native options, Automation, and an app with the pros and cons of each option.
-
Hi @Steve Houghton-Burnett You probably need to associate the custom fields to screens: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/add-a-custom-field-to-a-screen/
-
@Maksim_FeshchankaSalesforce is not yet available as a datasource for Elements Connect on cloud, but you can submit your needs through this survey our product manager is using to prioritize which datasources to develop next.
-
Thanks for the mention @Daniel Armenta @Krithica GIf you have already configured your Jira B, and want to create a remote copy of an issue (taking an issue from Jira A and copying it into Jira B), Elements Copy & Sync could indeed help. If however, you are looking to take your Jira A custom field configurations and import…
-
Hi @Maksim_Feshchanka I'm with the team at Elements, the vendor behind Elements Connect. Where are your organization's customers currently stored? Do you have a tool or database outside of Jira where you have this list?
-
Hi @thomas , Could you describe your use case a bit more? From what I understand, you are looking to map specific fields from parent issues to different fields on child issues; is that correct? When do you need to do this? On a workflow transition? Or not necessarily? Does your instance have any apps already installed?
-
@Umut MirzaAre you looking for information about an integration using Jira on premise or cloud? Asking because the blog article shows Jira Service Desk on premise, but the OP asked about cloud, and there are some differences in the on premise vs cloud version of Elements Connect (the new name for nFeed).
-
Here's the presentation: https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/features/automation Automation was an independent app that Atlassian acquired, and on Jira Cloud some of the features are available for free.
-
Hi, Automation can probably help with that. Check out this sample Automation rule: https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/automation-template-library/rules#/rule/1357127 It doesn't include updating the assignee, but if you play around in the template library, you should be able to find an example you can copy.

Hi, I think it helps to think of it as the clone doing the acting, whereas the original issue (parent issue) is the passive one. If you create a sub-task for a task and set a blocking link, generally it will be in the same way. For example the sub-task (which you create after the original parent task) blocks the parent…
-
@mascIt's currently in development and should be available soon. Edit: It's now available as the app Elements Publish 🎉 This gif shows how a knowledge base article was created using the summary, description, and a comment. You can see a full video showing how this works here.
-
@Maggie Santos Silvaand @masc Is this tutorial (granted for on premise) the sort of thing you would like to be able to implement on cloud? If so, I recommend you watch the cloud version of Elements Copy & Sync to get version release details (we're working on bringing the functionality available on the on premise version of…
-
Looks like some other people have the same problem as discussed in this thread and there's a bug you can watch/vote for.
-
Don't know if you absolutely need to find a solution with automation, but there are clone and move apps that are easier to configure and easy for users to use. For example, Elements Copy & Sync could work for you by letting developers chose a copy recipe "Add to Development" where you've pre-configured the issue type and…
-
Hi, The app Elements Checklist is available for both on premise and cloud. You can create basic checklists with a checkbox and text, but also more sophisticated ones if you need them (select lists, user field, calculated attribute...).

@kathy.hargisI'm not sure I understand what you're referencing since 'plans' and 'schedules' are not native features of Jira cloud. Could you provide a screen capture of your plan and your schedule? Are you using any apps? Maybe a screen capture of what your engineering team sees would help clarify your problem as well.
-
Here's a good resource for determining when and where to create custom fields: guide to custom fields
-
@kathy.hargisDoes everyone on your engineering team have permissions to browse/edit the marketing project? If not, this could be the reason they can't see anything.
-
Thanks for the recommendation @Kian Stack Mumo Systems @Joey KleinWhat kind of external DB are you using? If it's Postgre or MySQL you can try Elements Connect right away. If you have a different datasource, our Product Manager @Elyes Gannoun [Elements] would be happy to talk with you to learn more about your use case…
-
Thanks for the recommendation @Laurens Coppens @Suzanne AdamsYou can use Elements Copy & Sync to create clones on remote instances and link them (and even synchronize changes between the original and the clone). Check out our documentation on remote instances or the step by step on how to create a remote issue. And if you…
