Wow. I want to dive into that. Is there "cake" cake under there, or is the meringue the cake?
-
Same here - the occasional top-quality Italian or French buttercream is acceptable, but generally I prefer my cake without icing. When our family is able to be together, my uncle and I have the same ingredient-splitting arrangement you and your SIL do 😅 I've also done the toasted pound cake, although I do jelly on…

Yum... cupcakes. So I'm not actually a huge cake fan. My mom was a pro-level baker and I think I got tired of cake as a kid. I do enjoy an occasional cupcake from my local bakery, which uses real Italian buttercream icing. As to cake-cakes, my two favorites and pretty simple, and both are citrus-based. The clementine cake…

@Bill Sheboy sorry for the delay in the comment you posted on my question. In response, no, there's no way to uniquely identify the issue being created. I was hoping there would be something that's the equivalent of mysql's last_insert_id function.

Thanks, Teodora. I'll pass this info on to our devs. I did take a look at the composer.json files and they are quite different.

I'm glad it helped. I would report it to Atlassian support if I were you. I've double-checked all of the global permissions and don't see anything that should affect the ability to see the View All link, but it's also not a universal bug that's affecting all customers.
-
@shanishalgi Does https://<yoursite>.atlassian.net/jira/boards work for you? If so, you should then be able to follow the steps I provided to delete the board in question.

It's scary how much candy I ate last weekend, and I don't even have kids 😅

Awww... I live in a very different area of the U.S. The only animals I see in that large a group are seagulls in the parking lot of fast food places, hoping to grab dropped fries 😅. I do remember visiting England right after college, and being surprised by a herd of sheep crossing a highway holding up traffic.

@shanishalgithe bottom of the Board menu in any project should have a link to View All: Once you've clicked View All, it will take you to a page with all boards. If you do have the correct access, you should be able to click the three dots menu at the right of the board in question and see the Delete option:

Happy Birthday!

It doesn't matter how old you get, things like that stick with you. I'm 48, and to this day I've never rewatched The Shining.
-
Yes, @Flavien Gache , your writing is very evocative! I'm now seriously creeped out!
-
Eeeeeeeeeek. I really dislike spooky stuff. I don't like being scared, although I know some people do. Thankfully, I've never had a real paranormal encounter, just the standard creaky buildings. I do have kind of a fun story, though. I was a theater kid all through school, and the cast party of my high school's senior play…

I'm picturing General Suckage as the military officer who planned all of the events of 2020 without listening to any of the negative feedback from his underlings 😣 (I remember Reader's Digest, too, so I'm joining you in my rocking chair.)

@Mike Rathwell Thank you so much for writing this. I'm one of those introverts who used to get my fill of social interaction by being in an office, where off-topic conversation occurred organically at the water cooler or coffee maker. There was a lot of joking at the start of the pandemic that people like me should be fine…

@Mike Singleton I think I get what you're trying to do. Where are you in Jira when you're running this bookmarklet? In a scrum board's backlog view? Or somewhere else?
-
The messaging is a bit odd, but the Log in as User allows site admins to temporarily log in as a different user to troubleshoot account issues. You are prevented from doing this with your own account to make sure you cannot accidentally lock yourself out or deactivate your own account. If you are able to see your users in…

Welcome to the Community, @Rich I'm afraid this isn't going to be what you want to hear, but at this time you can't use custom fields with #lookupIssues. Here's the documentation. A suggestion ticket for this use case was opened in Atlassian's Jira earlier this month. Vote for it, watch it, and hopefully it will be…
-
There are a few ways you could manage this. The first (and possibly simplest) would be using a filter subscription, where you'd use JQL to display all tickets that are currently Open where the status was also open at a certain time (like 8 hours ago). You can include "assignee = currentUser()" to the search query, and when…

Same; I'm in Chicago, so the closest I get is racoons. Although we have recently had a wave of coyotes, as more and more outer-suburban land is developed.

If you're looking for a new browser, might I suggest Vivaldi? It's built on Chromium, so it can use all of the extensions in the Chrome Webstore, but is super-customizable. I've been using it for about a year because it allows you to stack tabs. I don't use 10% of the features it has, but I love it.
-
Ooh, you're evil, @Jimmy Seddon and @Erica Moss! I like having native apps for things like gmail and my calendar, but honestly as long as I have a mobile browser, I can still access those that way. So what are the three apps I have that provide me something I can only get in the app? * Chrome. Probably 90% of the apps I…

I'm finding more and more ways the function can be useful. One way we use it is to allow a saved ScriptRunner enhanced search to be used in boards' quick filters and for doing swimlanes by JQL, since the custom JQL functions implemented by ScriptRunner can't be used directly in those cases.
-
Wow, @Marc Pincince you got way further into this than I have yet. Good job getting it to work at all. I can't answer if this is the best way to do it or not, but I'll keep looking and see if there are any other ways. Just out of curiosity, do you have ScriptRunner? That might be a way to go, instead of automation.
-
Yes, there was a change made in the last week to move the field labels and values onto a single line on monitors wide enough. My users are also seeing the extra space issue, so thank you @Earl McCutcheon for posting the ticket. I'll be watching it.
-
Hi, @Marc Pincince - I don't have an answer for you yet, but if you can give a bit more info I'll see if I can figure out it, since I can see this being useful. Just to make sure, you're using the Issue Created trigger in the automation rule, so this is something you want to run every time an issue in this specific project…

Hi, @RAJA CHAKRABORTY - welcome to the Community! So sub-bug isn't a native Jira issue type. I'm assuming it's a custom sub-task issue type set up in your system. I can't tell you what your Jira admin intended with that, but I can explain the use of subtasks in general. If you have a project manager, you might discuss with…

@[deleted] my mistake; I was misreading this the entire time. I was looking at the new Roadmap view in an individual project, not the roadmap that's part of the product formerly known as Portfolio. We have a team currently looking to embed project-level roadmaps in Confluence, so that's where my head was.
-
That's interesting! Do you get an actual full-page view of the roadmap? I just tried, and all I see, even when I use the full-width format of the iframe gadget, is a small thumbnail of the full Jira page (not just the roadmap, but the top left corner, with the app switcher and menus). I also don't have an Embed option…
