Hi @Amanda Poush , Sounds like you might have a JSM subscription which gives your a JSM/O equivalent of an Opsgenie Essentials plan - which leads me to believe you have a JSM Standard subscription. For transparency JSM/O subscriptions translate to these Opsgenie standalone plans: * JSM/O Free = Opsgenie standalone Free *…

Hi Daniel, That should be possible. If your JSM integration is configured under a team, then the heartbeat should be configured under the same team as well. The integration would only trigger on alerts sent to that team. You'd want to have the outgoing flow of the JSM integration create issues for these types of alerts.…
-
Hi @Kenneth Kharma , Since the Custom Value to Opsgenie Priority option is not available in the JSM cloud integration, in my opinion it would be easier to use the JSM legacy integration. Having said that, the JSM cloud integration could still be used, but would require also configuring alert policies that filter on the…

Can you review either the the Processed incomingData and/or Received integration request logs? They might shed some light into what is be parsing in the payload, or if there is not anything parsing in the payload at all - so you can reference whether or not the data is matching on the create alert action. I know you…
-
Sounds good! If nothing is found in the Logs then I'd assume there's a misconfiguration on the elastic cloud side. Even if Opsgenie received the requests and there were errors creating the alerts, they'd still be logged in Opsgenie. As well, if you are using the Alert API, ensure you are also using the correct URL…

Hi @Andy Bradley , It's not possible to use a schedule's rotation to determine when a notification policy should apply. But - you can restrict a notification policy to days / times - just like you can with a rotation. So you can simply replicate the same days / times of the rotation (or business hours) with the…
-
Hi @Greg Scott , That is possible - but what typically happens with this use case and Datadog specifically is the alert deduplicates. Deduplication occurs when the alias of an alert matches the alias of an open existing alert. In this case, it's happening almost immediately at alert creation for all these - and it's…
-
Hi @Wija MW , I went ahead and moved this from our Discussions section of the Opsgenie Community, to the Questions section - just as an FYI. Seems more related. My colleague actually published an Article recently on how to troubleshoot this type of issue, that you can review here: Integration not creating Opsgenie alert…

Hi @richard.n.pykkonen , Opsgenie doesn't have an autofill for tags at this time. You could review the alerts in the Analytics tab >> Alert Analytics report. Add a filter that looks something like this, then export the list via CSV and manipulate the data there: There's also this table in the Alert Analytics report that…
-
Hi @[deleted] , Based on that screenshot, it appears Opsgenie is trying to close an alert vs. creating one: Which leads me to believe the data being sent from New Relic is not matching on what the integration is expecting for an alert to be created. By default Opsgenie is looking to match on one of these two conditions:…

Are there any errors in the Opsgenie logs, or indication as to why an alert was not created? This Article my colleague shared might help as well: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Opsgenie-articles/Integration-not-creating-Opsgenie-alert/ba-p/2070678

Hi @[deleted] , If you were to use the v2 New Relic integration, I believe the format of the URL might be something like this: https://api.opsgenie.com/v2/json/newrelic?apiKey=XXXXX Testing with Postman - that seems to work:

Hi @Kemal G , The role you shared is for your Atlassian site - which doesn't always transfer from site role >> Opsgenie role. You can manage users in your Atlassian site, and which user(s) have product access to Opsgenie through the opsgenie-users group: But Opsgenie role management realistically should be managed in…
-
Hi @Kemal G , It might be an issue with your role and what permissions you do/not have throughout the account. Your screenshot leads me to believe you are an account User based on the tabs I'm seeing in the Settings section. If you click into the Teams tab, and 1) do not see any teams listed, or 2) do not see an Add team…

You can customize the filter of the existing report you are viewing, but the filters cannot be saved similar to Saved Searches in the Alerts dash. We do have a feature request for this you an follow, watch and vote for here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/OPSGENIE-325

Hi @Pieter Swildens , Within Opsgenie, you should be able to review the Logs tab. This is the best place to troubleshoot whether or not a connection has been made between Opsgenie and an integration. Even if an alert is not created, Opsgenie will still log errors and helpful entries to determine what the issue is. But if…

Hi @Fiza Beg , Advanced reporting is only available on the Standard and Enterprise plans - so it sounds like your trial is most likely subscribed to Essentials. Accounts Owners can upgrade trials for free though to test other plans / functionality. That can be done under the Quick Start Guide here:
-
Hi @Tris Wasson , That unfortunately is not possible at this time. There is an option to notify the Slack channel when the "Escalate to Next" action is taken - but not when an alert escalates naturally through some workflow.
-
Hi @Randy Everett , Nick from Opsgenie support here - I believe we have a ticket open about the same issue. What seemed to be happening is you created an incident manually. This is turn creates a Responder alert(s) to notify responders, users, teams, etc. of the open incident. At this time, a Responder alert cannot be…

* Zendesk is one example of an integration that parses data different than Jira and JSM. Instead of parsing data through {{_payload}}, Zendesk parses the payload in the _httpParams or {{_url}} object: To extract a custom field such as the requester_email above, I could use a string processing method such…

Hi @Donny Gison , Unfortunately it's not possible at this time to migrate Opsgenie into another Atlassian instance at this time, but he have an open feature request for this you can watch, follow and vote for here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/OPSGENIE-24 So you will not be able to use the new Jira cloud integration.…

Hi @Evgenii Pereverzev , Are you using the JSM legacy or cloud integration? Regardless, both integrations should offer the option to create a JSM issue when the alert is escalated. With the JSM legacy integration, you'd want to map this under the For other Opsgenie alerts section: For the JSM cloud integration, you'd want…

Hi @Kenneth Kharma , Although that article does reference the Legacy integration, the idea should be the same with section 1 - Advanced integration settings - configuring multiple create alert actions that filter on the priority being sent from JSM, and mapping to the corresponding Opsgenie alert priority with the JSM…

Hi @aryanp , Glad notifications are working as expected now. As for the SumoLogic alert not closing the Opsgenie alert, it could be due to your Create alert action filter. Maybe it's acting like a catch-all with the filter set to Match All conditions? Regardless, try reviewing the Logs tab to see what data / request is…
-
Hi @mischlerpa , Doesn't look like Opsgenie has a prebuilt integration with Microfocust Operations Bridge Manager. Most customers will leverage either an Email integration or an API integration to integrate with third party systems when Opsgenie does not have a prebuilt integration available.

Post mortems can only be exported to Confluence cloud at this time, but there is a feature request for Confluence server you can follow, watch and vote for here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/OPSGENIE-853

Seems like the alert(s) is still being associated with an existing incident - whether the incident remains in an open state, or a resolved state. You should be able to check which incident that alert associated with here: It's not recommended to have an incident rule set to Match All like you shared - since it acts like a…
-
Hi @Randy Everett , Your Opsgenie account should be under an Atlassian site for this feature to work. The Exporting postmortems to Confluence should help with this. Since your screenshot shows Confluence grayed out, then I have to assume your Opsgenie is not tied to the site your Confluence also lives under.
