Not much to go on, but is the directory set to have Cache enabled? (Should be on the first page of the directory settings). CCM

Always happy to help. As a customer on the bigger, but definitely more complex end of the scale, Crowd has been instrumental in providing the flexibility but control we’ve needed. As with all products, there’s always room for improvement and being able to discuss this with the product teams is a great benefit of working…

Looking forward to it - great way to encourage engagement. BTW - the image on this page seems to be pulling from your staging environment so is requesting secondary authentication CCM

Hey Rakesh, While not available for Bitbucket server - SAML2.0 auth has been available in data center since 4.13 (https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucketserver/bitbucket-server-4-13-release-notes-867365635.html) theres other benefits to DC (high availability, smart mirrors etc) but saml may be worth the change alone. Hey Noam. What version of bitbucket are you on (if you're on server?). I remember an issue with the UI import and other git services around the 4.2.x product range, so could be the same/similar issue. If you just need to get it moved, then it's a pretty quick few commands to move all code/tags/branches git clone --verbose…

Hey Ana, While the project types (Business, Software, Service Desk) are fixed, there is a project category function that allows you to do what you're after. https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiracloud/adding-assigning-and-deleting-project-categories-844500732.html CCM

Hey benjamin, There is is nothing wrong with your configuration, this is how the products are expected to work, however many people don’t expect this behavior (me included initially). If a user shows in a crowd directory, then they will sync to the applications connected to it. You can then limit who can actually use the…

Hey Andrew, Appreciate you spending the time on looking in to options further. Give the outage requirements for the truncated and no other options, i think we will test out relying on the monthly retention/rollover in the system and make sure we’ve extracted the data we need before then. Will significantly reduce the rows…

Hi Troy, While you could also use components to track the product as well - it’s an easy option but will be limiting (if you MUST have a product selected for every issue, you can’t just check if component is not empty as you mentioned components are being used for other purposes). The cleaner option that comes to mind is…

Hi Sky, The cloud apps are running ADG3 (Atlassian design guidelines 3), their new UI. The server variants are not yet on ADG3. It will happen, but no timeline has been published as yet. CCM

You can reuse the same license. There’s no “smart” checking if the license is in use on another machine or anything. If you don’t have backups, I suggest you rebuild on a new machine so you can try and recover the files/database or something. CCM

Hey Joe, NB: we have Crowd as in interim step between our applications and the user stores, so while the below is correct in our environment, I can only assume it will the same/close in your type of setup, but there is a chance it may just be different enough that the below won't apply. The permissions required on the…

Hi Satoshi, In my opinion, even if this is "possible", it should not be done. While Elasticsearch "only" powers the search and if each node will build it's own ES cache if you start a copy of elasticsearch on each node, I feel it's very likely they'll then get out of sync as an action on Node 1 will update Node 1's index,…

Ken, The delegated project creator is server only. You’ll need to create the projects for them in the meantime. if you want to keep the users from each client unaware of each other, you’ll need ensure the browse users global permission is off…

Hey Tyler, Haven't done the upgrade myself (yet), but wanted to ask if you're starting via the script in the application bin dir, or from a service script? The string "No PID Found" doesn't seem to appear in the 5.8.0 bin dir so the latest version may not work with your service script. If you are using a service script,…

Hey Sony, A few options I can see from a few environments I've got access to - yours may have been customized, so the below may not be relevant: * The login page has a "Powered by Atlassaian Confluence x.y.z" in the footer * If you use your browsers view source functionality on a page, search for the string…

Hey Vincent, https://confluence.atlassian.com/enterprise/jira-data-center-add-ons-640352348.html indicates that “An Add-on needs to meet or exceed your Data Center license. For example, for a 3,000 user instance of Jira Software Data Center, you would purchase Tempo for 2,001-10,000 user at the Server price.” Given the…

If you have confluence server you can run some SQL against the database and see how many unique users are creating entries - don’t believe there’s a way from the UI but happy to be corrected. Either way, the problem you’ll have is that the addon license count has to match the application license count. Eg: You can’t…

Hey Asish, Something like the below should work (thanks to https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/JQL-JIRA-Filter-on-Worklog/qaq-p/246707 for the workLogged function reminder) issueFunction in workLogged("after 2017/12/29 before 2017/12/31") OR (updatedDate >= "2016-01-01" AND updatedDate <= "2016-05-31 11:00")…

Hey @Kayalvizhi Venkatesan As Nic mentioned, nothing is available out of the box. We've been reviewing add-ons for both of these scenarios: * Allowing non-admins to manage dropdown values * Supporting multi-level cascading options https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.valiantys.jira.plugins.SQLFeed/server/overview…

Hey Michael, You should be able to follow the instructions at https://confluence.atlassian.com/fisheye/how-to-reset-the-administration-page-password-in-fisheye-or-crucible-298977083.html to reset the admin password. CCM

Hey Hitendra, Proactive monitoring could mean a number of things, so depends on exactly what you're looking to solve. Our arsenal includes: * NewRelic* Infrastructure (monitors the ram/disc/cpu etc) * APM (deeper insights into the JVM itself) * Synthetics (basic HTTP checks from a number of locations to check the service…

Hey Diego, If you go to your Troubleshooting and Support tools page (https://bitbucket.mycompany.com/plugins/servlet/troubleshooting/view/) then Elasticsearch, what information is displayed? You also mention a "yellow alert" on Elasticsearch - is that referring to the Elasticsearch cluster health itself…

Hey Guillem, While Crowd is a standalone product, each of the main Atlassian applications (jira/conf/bb etc) run "embedded Crowd" for user management which is why you're seeing it referenced. Trying to authenticate to a Crowd application with a bad username and password returns a HTTP 401, but get the user/pass right but…

Hey Robert, I think it depends on what "all properties" means in your environment. If you know that Groups are only used in Permission Schemes and Roles, then you'd likely be able to loop through all permission schemes and all roles and replace $oldGroupName with $newGroupName - unfortunately things often aren't that…

Hey James, It's not in the admin UI anywhere, but I just copied /plugins/servlet/active-objects/tables/list from Jira and added it to our Bitbucket hostname and voila! At least worked on BB 5.7.1 so hopefully works for you. https://bitbucket.mycompany.com/plugins/servlet/active-objects/tables/list CCM

Hey, Without more information and a view to your architecture, this is a bit of a guess, however the PKIX pathbuilder error indicates there's an issue with your SSL certificate. I've seen this error in the past for a few reasons, but will focus on what feels like is the more likely issue - the bitbucket…

Lots of great recommendationns that have been said already, so won’t repeat them, but a big one to me is: Be prepared to make unpopular decisions. With so much flexibility in how you can use the tools, as soon as you’re supporting more than 2 people, you’re likely to have clashing opinions. Be able to justify your…

Totally agree. The master template approach is definitely going to be a big help for admins. CCM

Nic, Agree with the approach of dropping behind a load balancer and doing ssl offloading, but even still, you need to configure the proxyname/port etc in server.xml. We use Puppet to enforce our config (xms/xmx, Crowd.properties, server.xml, seraph etc) which speeds up the upgrade process. Even without a full DSC system…
