I’m quite certain that the UI won’t even let you save with the double LDAP server string in the field. I’d suggest looking at load balancing your ldap servers outside of Crowd itself (f5, AWS elb, haproxy), have Crowd point to that device and then it has the smarts to know which server to route the traffic to. If the two…

I’m getting a 404 if I have the trailing slash /status/ but works without /status if that doesn’t work, can you confirm the versions you’re using? CCM

If I’m reading your post correctly, you’ve setup an application link between JIRA and confluence (allows you to insert JIRA issue macro into confluence etc), but you’re not seeing the JIRA icon in confluences navigation “hamburger” menu. If so, the later is the application navigator and while it often contains the same…

Hey Jiri, both Jira and confluence should have a page at /status/ that returns a basic json response and will give a HTTP200 code if all is good. This path is used as the load balancer health check path too. additional references:…

You can’t run data center in multiple geographic locations like that. It’s only supported in the same data center. Given low enough latency and high enough bandwidth between two different data centers the system shouldn’t have any issues, asia/na/eu are just not going to work. Youll need to look at picking a suitable…

Hey Kumar, Going back in my memory a bit, but I recall that Bitbucket had an inbuilt DB conversion that let us move from MySQL to psql. You mentioned you needed to keep running your current setup as well though, so suggest looking to stand up a full copy using MSSQL from a backup, then try the conversion option. We've…

Hi, While ensuring SSL is on is generally a good rule of thumb, just wondering if this is a necessity given your Bitbucket and Elasticsearch are running on the same node and if someone is logged in to your server to get access to the lo interface to intercept the traffic, you've got a bigger issue anyway. Unsure if the…

Hey Ivan, I've just posted a summary of learnings from using CloudFront at https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-discussions/CDN-CloudFront-and-Atlassian-Server-apps/m-p/731230#M2361 that may be of help. CCM

Agree with Dave's thought of it being a storage/permissions issue. Users/groups/projects are all stored in the DB, but a repository needs to write to your shared storage. CCM

Working with apps behind load balancers before, I've found it helpful when the server has added a small HTTP header that indicates the node it's coming from. For security reasons you may not want to make it as simple as 1,2,3,4 - but maybe obfuscate it a little bit and use a random string that your team knows what node is…

Munusamy, The installers for both Server and DC are actually the same: DC (https://www.atlassian.com/software/bitbucket/download/data-center) links to: https://www.atlassian.com/software/stash/downloads/binary/atlassian-bitbucket-5.8.0-x64.bin and Server (https://www.atlassian.com/software/bitbucket/download) links to:…

Marcin, If all you want out of BB DC is a SmartMirror, then you can just upgrade the license, apply it to your existing Server node, and you'll be running DC. You can then deploy a SmartMirror. NB: Without migrating your current infrastructure to shared file storage / shared database / shared elasticsearch / load balancer…

Hey Ken, Assuming I've read/understood your post and requirements correctly, yes - your suggested approach is the way forward. * Given there's 2 different sets of users (companies) in your instance, you're unlikely to want any users to get access in your default permission scheme anymore, so remove all permissions for "All…

Hey Alice, There's a few options, but the most straight forward for a small change like this would be to inject some CSS in to the Announcement Banner (available at /secure/admin/EditAnnouncementBanner!default.jspa ) The below code works in my testing (Jira server), usual disclaimer about testing in a non-production…

Unsure if this is possible given your requirements, but you could look to filter down the groups using an ldap filter to either no groups coming from AD, or a subset of groups from AD, but still get all users. This would speed up the sync and then allow you to enable cache on the directory, and then manage the groups you…

BigGantt by the same vendor also does gantts and is what we use. Big picture provides other functions that may be helpful but if not, you’ll pay more for Picture. https://softwareplant.com/compare-products/ is a feature matrix for all of their products CCM

Wanted to chime in from a customer point of view and confirm Marcin’s comment. We have what I’d consider a large Crowd install - 2xAD, 2xLDAP and 2xinternal Crowd directories. Crowd reports around 60000 users with 15000 of them making it through to the apps, and around 5000 groups with heavy nesting to assist with…

As @Andy Heinzer stated, the statements are referenced in the KB linked in his response. MSSQL is SELECT cwd_user.user_name, dateadd(second,cast(cast(cwd_user_attributes.attribute_value AS nvarchar(255)) AS bigint)/1000,'19700101 00:00:00:000') FROM cwd_user, cwd_user_attributes WHERE cwd_user.id =…

As Casper mentioned, it's due to the directory order within the application you're authenticating as to run the command. To ensure we're explicit about which directory the users are created in, we've had to create a unique application for each directory we want to create users/groups in, and then authenticate as that…
