Hi Uli, The registration link forces you to create an account and complete a full profile on userinterviews.com (including a lot of personal information). This isn’t the usual process that happens, had a similar issue…

Hey @Joe Elgabalawi Congrats on the big step, but wanted to check if the same types of "In-scope product data" caveats apply as listed on https://support.atlassian.com/security-and-access-policies/docs/understand-data-residency/ - while Marketplace was touched on in a comment by @Austin Songer which is good to know, other…

+1 for the comment from @Michael Merriel re: Look & Feel. We've used L&F for years to change the standard logo, adjust the site header colours to be more consistent with our Jira/Confluence/overall brand, and - visually differentiate our prod and non-prod environments via the header colour.

Thanks @Matt Doar - script came in very handy today! CCM

Hi @Charlie Marriott I appreciate the detailed write up on the findings of your user research, but what's really frustrating is that: * The research to "understand customer needs" was done in 2023, when the JAC was opened in 2004 * The JAC already has 1180 votes, 573 watchers and a pile of comments where your customers…

In preparation for Jira 8.20 > 9.12 LTS (testing on 9.11), I've prepared the below (tested in psql) - hopefully it helps you somewhat SELECT w.gadget_xml, CASE WHEN u.active = '1' THEN true ELSE false END as user_active, count(*) FROM portletconfiguration AS w, portalpage AS d, app_user AS au, cwd_user AS u WHERE…

Hi @malli_tech1994 I would highly recommend considering why you are moving from psql to MySQL. While both databases are “supported” - the products appear to be developed against postgresql, and postgres seems to have less issues than MySql (or MSSQL) as a result. We ran MySQL for many years, and spent a lot of effort…

Hi @Duchoslavová Romana If you’re referring to page by page content, then you could consider the “include page” macro (https://confluence.atlassian.com/doc/include-page-macro-139514.html#:~:text=Start%20typing%20a%20page%20title,%2C%20DOC%3AMy%20page%20name%20. ) However, permissions can get fiddly here - if you include a…

Hi @enaj I can see that while the documentation is technically correct, it would be very easy to misinterpret its intent. CCM
-
Hi @David Olive In terms of what products/instances would be covered by an external policy set against an organisation - is it: * Any products that are managed/owned by the Access org? * Any products that are owned by a managed user within an org? I am assuming that it’s the former, but until Atlassian provide a way for…
-
Hi @Alan Farkas I would recommend one Atlassian org to manage the authentication of users (required at the moment as access only supports a single org to claim a domain, but as @Aneita @mentioned, they’re looking to release support for one domain to be split over multiple orgs). The management of the users and…

Hi @Edward Moxley https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1218757/assets-aws-integration?tab=overview&hosting=datacenter Is what you’re after. CCM

You should also be able to create your base filter, then save it, and then reference that saved filter from both your JSM queue JQL and your automation. This way, if you need to update the JQL in either the queue or the automation, you’ll be reminded that you need to update it in a way that both parts of the system will be…

@Trudy P Claspill - this seems like a good approach. The only possible gotcha is that if a the component name the user wants to track is a substring of other components, they risk false positives. ie: the component they want to monitor is “foo” - the pre/post check would also fire off a conponent “foobar” was added. CCM

It’s alright - the other SaaS vendors are catching up. I’ve been getting emails from hosting companies saying I need to change all my domains to www.website.company.com 🤦♂️ CCM
-
@Luke Liu - I’m with everybody else on this thread. Your response here shows you’ve blatantly ignored all the customer feedback (“Don’t F*** the customer”, yeah?) and tried to justify why with some un-quantified BS that doesn’t seem to be an issue for any other SaaS vendor on the market that supports exactly what your…

PS - just wanted to ensure that you’re aware that even if Jira/Confluence have data residency configured, this does not mean all related data is within that geography, only the “in scope” data which is outlined at https://support.atlassian.com/security-and-access-policies/docs/understand-data-residency/ CCM
-
Hi @Dr. Steve Whittle Marketplace apps need to be built to support data residency - https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/confluence/data-residency/ - however it looks like if the app was built on the Atlassian Forge platform, as of Nov, 2022 - residency wasn’t even supported…
-
Hey @Dave Meyer * in terms of changing a managed domain email to a non-managed email, wondering what the discussions have been around allowing some domains to be changed to (eg: the gmails/outlooks etc where no org will ever have those domains claimed) to let orgs support users convert a business managed account to a…
-
Hi @David Hite The node will be able to rejoin fine. The returning node won’t rebuild the index, it sends a request to the cluster, one of the other nodes will then compress a copy of its index, copy it to the returning server which then extracts, does a final catch up and gets back to work. CCM
-
If you’re having these types of issues even on a single node, I’d be thinking that one of the default settings has been changed, or it’s something with the Kantega config (either kantega itself, or a setting in Jira that should be changed as part of your Kantega setup and might not have been. Id head to Kantega support…
-
Hi @colorfingers Theres quite a lot of detail missing from your explanation, so the below may not be relevant for your org/setup, but some thoughts: * Crowd licenses are about users in a directory - not just who has logged in. * assuming you downstream Crowd server is using a Remote Crowd directory to pull users from the…
-
Hi @Dawn Cooper “Then that same AD group I need to restrict from everything else to prevent any crossover.” - can you give any more context about what “everything else” is? Your proposed LDAP filter would/should block that group from being exposed to Crowd, you can only implement LDAP filters on a per directory basis in…
-
@Dave Meyer If the current accounts domain is claimed in Atlassian Access, then the username could only be changed to another domain claimed by the same Access org - they cannot change emails from a managed to unmanaged domain (which always excludes gmail/outlook etc). @Arnd Layer - if the new owners domain is already…
-
Hi @jihwan Park Assuming that you’re talking about adding a standard Crowd Directory in Bitbucket’s User Directory setup, then yes, Crowd on a server license and BB on DC should work fine (this assumes that the Bitbucket instance can talk to the Crowd server and all the other standard setup/network questions) - there…
-
Hi @Maxim Kashaev id also recommend confirming that your load balancer is using sticky sessions so a users traffic will always be served by the same node. While this means you can have unbalanced load on your two nodes, some of the session info is stored on the app server itself, so if the request to open a create issue…
-
hi @Roser Carbonell Given 8.13 is a long term support version of Jira, you should be able to update to 8.13.27 (latest release) and get all the big/security fixes without impacting functionality. do you have any concerns about moving to 8.13.27? CCM
-
Hi @SRBR SE I’m not aware of any Jira native methods to compress/optimise attachment size on disc. a few things to consider though: * limit the maximum attachment file size in Jira itself and implement a method for storing larger files (like video media) in a non-Jira based storage system that has some integration with…

Welp, I've been doing some more REST API spelunking and for all apps (conf, jira, crowd, bamboo, bitbucket) the /rest/plugins/1.0/installed-marketplace endpoint has a .hostStatus stub that gives the core product licensing info (doesn't expose consumed seats). For Jira, you don't get a Core/JSW/JSM breakdown on this…
-
Just doing this digging myself, and adding: * Confluence - https://confluence.company.com/rest/license/1.0/license/details - does not expose the number of users you're licensed for and/or consuming, cannot find an endpoint that does * Bitbucket - https://bitbucket.company.com/rest/api/1.0/admin/license - exposes max…
