Any chance this is being recorded? It's 0300 for me on the East coast of AU, but keen to listen in. CCM

Hey Mark, Guessing at possible options here - do you have a base DN set on the Connector tab, and then you're including the same value in the User/Group DN fields on the Configuration tab? The base DN is auto appended to the User/Group DN CCM

Would love if this solution supported a SonarQube sync from Crowd to populate all the users/groups/memberships from Crowd, but SAML auth from Okta. I've contacted you via your website on this, but will keep this thread up to date with the response as well as it might be a use case others could apply. CCM

Hi Sweta, Can you explain your use case and/or where you're stuck in the process? CCM

Added Automation for Jira
-
Hey Norman, Unsure on the type of automation you're looking at, however the email delay may be caused by Jira's email batching function (which according to https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Is-the-Batch-Email-Notifications-feature-available-in-Jira-Cloud/qaq-p/1031512 is possibly relevant for Cloud).…

Hi, Assuming the TXT record is correct ( https://www.whatsmydns.net/#TXT/adakify.com ) - I'd suggest this is something you'll need to reach out to Atlassian Support for assistance with CCM

A few new items added for Jira, and I've updated names for Portfolio to Roadmaps CCM

Hey Shane, https://support.atlassian.com/bitbucket-cloud/docs/reduce-repository-size/ has some suggestions on resolving this type of situation CCM

Hey Joseph, If you need physical separation of data (separate databases), then you'll need 1 DC instance per team that needs isolation. If there's no need to segment the user data, you could run a single Crowd instance that all DC instances authed through, and if you had a consistent domain…

Hey Tariq, I've only got experience with the Atlassian native DC SAML plugin - so not sure what you're using. The below is purely my understanding as it stands at the moment. I believe NameID is the default SAML username property exposed by Okta/SAML in general. If the field you're wanting to use as the username is already…

Hi Xavier, I assume this means you're running a git server on your local machine and want to move that repository to Bitbucket? If so, you cannot use Bitbucket's UI based import function (unless you're also running Bitbucket on the same machine, but I'm assuming this is not the case). But if you run the below commands on…

Hi, Wondering why a whole new project per employee Vs a parent issue with sub-tasks in a single project? CCM

Hi Roland, Sounds like you might want to check out Issue Security Schemes https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/configure-issue-security-schemes/ CCM
-
Hi @Airbus DS Any chance that the user is able to login to your Jira environment using a Jira local account? This would explain a discrepancy between when Jira thinks a user last authenticated and when Crowd thinks a user last authenticated. CCM

Hi Val, To get SSO between terrestrial and Atlassian Cloud using Crowd, you're going to need to use Crowd as your SAML provider for both - this means using Atlassian Access to talk to your Crowd environment using SAML. For your terrestrial apps (Server and DC) - DC has native SAML support, but Server does not. I believe…

Hey Mark, The easy and unsecure answer is adding 0.0.0.0/0 to the Crowd Application Remote Addresses - obviously not recommended though! It's not clear where you're hosting your Docker/K8S, but using AWS terminology, if you run your cluster from a private VPC that has a NAT VPC gateway with a fixed Elastic IP, outbound…

Hi @Matt Donagan :8095 is how anything (the apps, or administrators) talk to Crowd. If Jira/Conf/Crowd are all running on the same server, you'd likely have Confluence and Jira setup with localhost:8095/crowd as the Crowd directory hostname - that's fine, your apps can all talk to each other. What you'd be missing in this…
-
Hey @Aaron Andrade This should generally be pretty straight forward - we've done numerous switches between various directories with the same users. As always with a significant change though, it's always best to try in a non-production environment * Ensure your username fields are the same in OpenLDAP and Active Directory…

Hey Edward, Do you have an active license for Crowd? Is there anything in Crowd that is functioning - eg: non-Confluence related syncs and/or can you login to the Crowd UI? CCM
-
Hi Rachit, Outside of using a REST API call from the CLI (which cause the same issue as running from the UI). Check out https://confluence.atlassian.com/crowdkb/how-to-log-into-crowd-when-the-number-of-users-for-the-license-has-been-exceeded-644416441.html - though if you're using Crowd Server, you likely won't be able to…

Hi @Alexander Is there any extra information if you change the debugging level for the outgoing mail service? https://confluence.atlassian.com/crowdkb/how-to-generate-additional-logging-for-outbound-email-from-crowd-1019397396.html CCM

Hi @kiran kumar poola What are you trying to do when you see this error? Does Crowd generally function? Has Crowd ever worked in this environment? If yes, has anything recently changed. If no, is this is a new installation or a migration from another server? CCM

Hey Dimitry, According to https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Bamboo-questions/Confused-by-this-Error-Bamboo-YAML-import-failed-Could-not/qaq-p/1332452 which had a similar error, but the user was trying to achieve a different goal, the issue was related to tabbing. Based on this, the issue may be your indenting as well…

Adding to Thiago's reply - if you go to https://tools.mycompany.ca/confluence/dosearchsite.action - you can use the left hand side filters to generate a more targetted set of search results - eg: it'll show that to see only Pages updated in the last week mentioning Winnie the Pooh, you can pass the query…

The field scheme may also have Team as required, but the Team field not included on the Create Screen scheme. As per Trudy's reply, you will need to contact the administrators for your instance and have them confirm what is incorrectly configured. CCM

Hi @Gonzalo95 If you copy the production environment and restore to another environment, the active production license key will "just work". Your license key will need to be active (ie: not expired) for the upgrade to work (production or non-production). Disclaimer: I am not 100% sure how taking this approach aligns with…
