Yes that's correct, assuming that filter is set to "match all conditions below".
-
Yes that's correct, it will be associated to the same incident until that incident is closed. Once the incident is closed, if a new alert matches that incident rule, a new incident will be created.
-
Hi @serge calderara If an incident is created through an incident rule, and that incident remains open, then all other alerts that are created that match that same incident rule, will be associated with the same incident. So essentially there can only be 1 open incident per incident rule at a time. Thanks, Samir

Hi @[deleted] ! You can only add statuspages as External Services to Opsgenie if they are hosted on the Atlassian product Statuspage. Apple pay's "status page", is not using the Statuspage product, they seem to have built their own custom "status page", and are not using the Atlassian product Statuspage to host it, so…

Hi @Chris Thomas , We do have a feature request for the alert dashboard to auto-refresh, so I can certainly enter one for the "who is on-call" page to auto-refresh as well. I can see how that would be helpful, thanks for the suggestion! -Samir

Hi @webadmin ! When you delete a rotation, it will still show up in the final schedule since it doesn't delete the "history" of that rotation. If you move the schedule further into the future, you will see the deleted rotation will no longer show up in the final schedule, it just shows the rotation up until it was deleted.…

Hi @serge calderara , Yes - there are no notes on incidents, you can add entries to the incident timeline. And connecting a CI/CD is required for incident investigation, because the incident investigation feature is what allows you to pull in past deployments from your CI/CD tool that could have been a potential cause of…

Got it. I suggest you post this question in the Jira Service Management community then: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Service-Management/ct-p/jira-service-desk That way someone with JSM experience can assist!

There isn't a "right" vs "wrong" way necessarily. If you want to stop the responder alert from escalating so it doesn't continue notifying, then you would want to acknowledge the responder alert. Otherwise, you can just take action on the incident itself, and that will update the responder alert(s).
-
Hi @[deleted] , Is this question related to Opsgenie? It sounds like you're referring to a Jira issue. Just want to understand if this question is related to Opsgenie, and if not, you may want to post this in the Jira community. Thanks, Samir
-
Hi @Ahmad Al-Sajid , This seems to be more of a lambda specific issue. The one thing I can think of, is you need to have installed the opsgenie-sdk. So you will need to install the opsgenie-sdk locally (i.e. pip install opsgenie-sdk), and upload that to the lambda function dependencies so that the lambda function can use…

Hi @Neha Viswanathan , We don't currently offer any sort of reports for heartbeats. We do have a feature request for a report showing when certain heartbeats were expired, but at this time we don't currently have a report showing this information. I can add you to that feature request. Thanks, Samir

Hi @serge calderara Taking action on the responder alert (i.e. acknowledge responder alert) does not update the incident itself. However, it does work the other way, i.e. resolving the incident, will acknowledge the responder alert(s) for that incident. And closing the incident, will close the responder alert(s). Thanks,…

Hi @serge calderara Alerts de-duplicate based on the alias field as well. so if an alert is created through an integration, and has the same alias field value as an open alert, it will de-duplicate the alert. As far as what will make it de-duplicate vs close the alert, that depends on if it matches the "Create Alert"…
-
Hi @Amit Moses ! Yes this is certainly possible with Opsgenie Edge Connector (OEC) which is the successor to Marid. You can install/configure the OEC service on a server, and setup an OEC integration to trigger alerts to be sent to this OEC service, and the OEC service can be configured to execute custom scripts. So you…

Hi @Tomáš Vojvoda - no, the functionality has not changed. You probably don't have the option due to the plan you are on. If you're on the Opsgenie Standalone Free, or Essentials plan, or the JSM Standard plan, you would not have access to these "Advanced" Views of integrations.
-
Hi @Veiko Jõõts , Currently it is not possible to have the associated alerts get closed when the incident is closed, although we do have a feature request for this! What some users do is setup a webhook integration to trigger when the responder is closed, to trigger a script on AWS Lambda or something which will close the…

Yes confirmed. Use Jira Software integration if you are integrating with a Jira Software project, use a Jira Service Management integration if you are integrating with a Jira Service Management project. Jira Software and Jira Service Management are 2 different products. They are similar, but designed for different types of…

Creating jira issues from alerts would be done via the Jira integration.

Hi @serge calderara - incident rules are configured under a particular service. You add a service from the "Services" tab under a particular team, and then within that service you can create incident rules to automate incident creation when a particular alert goes to that team: e.g. Thanks, Samir

Hi @Vinod Kaliappan , I'm not too familiar on the Datadog side, and how they rank priorities. Opsgenie uses a P1-P5 ranking system. According to this doc, it sounds like you can specify a priority associated with your monitors in Datadog: https://docs.datadoghq.com/monitors/notifications/?tab=is_alert#priority But this…
-
Hi @Zaid Darras , You can export Opsgenie on-call schedules as an .ics file, or you can subscribe to them via webcal link. So you could subscribe via Google Calendar, outlook ,etc. so that non-Opsgenie users can see the schedule details.…
-
Hi @Rajvi Prajapati , There isn't a notes option available on incidents. With incidents, there is the Incident Command Center (ICC) that provides a video conference and a chat option in there where incident responders can collaborate. Further, there is the Slack App for incident management where you can create a slack…

Hi @William Butt , By default, and Admin/Owner in Opsgenie can see alerts from all teams on the alert dashboard. Users with role of "user" (i.e. non Admins/Owners) can only see alerts from teams that they are a member of. You can query for alerts with Team1 or Team2 or Team3 as a responder using the following: responders:…

Hi @Brian Dickson There isn't a way within the integration to only have the alerts get created in Opsgenie during business hours. But you can configure alerts to not notify anyone unless they're created during business hours. This can be done by setting up a routing rule on the team the alerts are going to to route alerts…
-
Hi @Vinod Kaliappan , Since Datadog uses strings like "low" or "normal" for priority, whereas Opsgenie uses a number system (P1-P5), you can setup multiple create alert actions on your Datadog integration to filter on the priority being received from Datadog, and set the Opsgenie alert priority accordingly... e.g. So you…
-
Hi @Pablo Barbero ! There isn't a way to have Service added to an alert. Are you asking how you get an alert to match an incident rule on a service to create an incident? If so, it's just dependent on if the alert goes to the team where that service is configured with the incident rule. So in this example... I have these 2…
-
Hi @William Butt ! Yup that's right. Once an alert is closed, the only other action that can be taken is to "delete" the alert. Closing an alert will stop the notification/escalation process.
-
Hi @Jeff Avila ! The best thing to do would be to edit the zabbix integration within Opsgenie to set the priority. So by default, when an alert is created via a Zabbix integration, it gets created as a P3 like you mentioned... However, you can set the priority that zabbix alerts will be created as within the integration...…

Hi @vibhor , Is this for a Cloudwatch integration you're trying to setup with Opsgenie? When you setup an Cloudwatch integration with Opsgenie, when you create the https subscription for the topic the cloudwatch alarms are publishing to, it should create an alert in Opsgenie showing the confirmation. e.g. If it didn't get…
