Hi @Neville Park ! Welcome to the community :) are you able to share a screenshot of what you see? Perhaps there's some automation that's happening in the background? Could you check in your butler automation commands to see if there's a rule around adding comments to cards? If you don't see anything there, maybe there's…

Just adding on from what Justin linked, here's the article talking about custom field variables: https://help.trello.com/article/1160-custom-field-variables#custom-field-variables

Hi @Danielle Rix ! Welcome to the community :) are you able to share a screenshot or paste in your exact command?

@Jerry When you create a card directly in the "Picking Up" list, I'm guessing that card doesn't have the "Pick up" field populated yet, right? The trigger in that case should be "when the pick up field is set in a card in the picking up list". So you might want two rules: 1. When a card is added to list "Picking up" - this…

@Andrei Zargarian It's not available yet for the native integration with Trello and GCal, however, Unito recently released a GCal integration that allows you to create a 2-way sync between Trello and GCal. You can sync all Trello cards, or filter on a specific criteria (e.g. only cards assigned to you). If you're…

@KOHESION no I don't believe there's a setting for picking the default due time. When I create a new card and set the due date, this is what I see: So the due time defaults to whatever time was set in the previous card. Does it look different for you?

Awesome! Glad that's all working now :)

For your particular trigger, {matchedusername} would find the user that has been @mentioned. {username} will be the user who was associated with the action. If you're wanting to pull details from the trigger card into your email message, prefix everything with "trigger". So, {triggercardname}, {triggercardlink}, etc.

Oops, looks like my screenshot had a typo. The variable should be {{%Emailaddress}} as mentioned above. Just make sure the field name is spelled the same as your custom field (including any spaces). There's more info on custom field variables…
-
Try {{%Emailaddress}} - you don't need to add "value" into it.
-
@Kevin Shiflet try instead: "send an email notification to "{{%Emailaddress}}""
-
Easy mistake! Glad that's working for you ☺️
-
@Jerry in that case, rather than selecting the due date field in your command, select the custom field. If you're able to add custom fields to your board, it means you're on a paid plan (custom fields aren't available on the free plan).

Hi @Johanna Quist ! Welcome to the community :) there might be someone in the community from Epics Cards who can help you here, but if you need a quicker response, it might be best to reach out directly to their team: support@screenful.com

Hi @Jerry ! Welcome to the community :) what are you using to log the pickup time? Just the native due date? You could create an automation to keep this list sorted so you don't have to keep doing it manually. E.g. "every day at 8 am, sort list "X" by due date descending" or "when a card is added to list X, sort list by…

Hi @Kevin Shiflet ! Welcome to the community :) I guess Trello would need some way of understanding what username corresponds to what email address. An idea could be to create a list and then add a card for each user. The title of the card would be the user's Trello username. This list could exist on the board where the…

Hi @uche abel ! Welcome to the community :) is the idea to update other template cards across other boards? So, let's say you have one card in each board that acts as a template and it contains this templated checklist. When the "master" checklist in your template board is updated, you'd like to automatically update all…

There isn't the option right now to disable or reconfigure shortcuts, so the only advice I can offer is to rethink how and when rules are executed. Happy to offer suggestions on how to approach this, but if you're not open to changing things, I'm not sure what else I can offer!

@Lynne is the issue that you're getting errors and things aren't executing at all? Or things are slow to execute? Or both? If you click on the error message in your email, the command logs should give you more details as to why it didn't run. Are you able to share an example of a command that didn't run, along with the…

Hi @Lynne ! Does it look like the quota for operations is being reached mistakenly? Or does the number of operations look accurate for what's happening in Trello? If it's the latter, maybe there's a way to restructure things so that you don't need so many operations running? This forum is mostly made up of community…

@Drew Lanphear the same thing happened to me when I first tried. You have to tick ALL the boxes showing on this screenshot. For the last checkbox, this article explains Unito doesn't actually delete anything: https://guide.unito.io/en/articles/5978933-a-primer-on-unito-s-google-calendar-integration I believe the Unito team…

Hi @papix2003 ! Welcome to the community :) What are you trying to achieve with Trello? Is it to manage your business operations? A place to manage marketing campaigns? Strategic planning/goal setting? Managing customers/accounts? Just a basic personal to do list? Depending on what you're trying to achieve, the board…

Hi @Yasmin Howell ! Welcome to the community :) I'd recommend using a different Trello user to create the rule instead. If you can, use a service account like a Trello admin user, or a bot user. It's a best practice to create automations using a service account if you're able to as this means if you want to hand over that…

Adding on from what @Çiğdem Büyükaşik said, you could create additional boards that display the necessary information for these specific members. One way to achieve this is to use Butler automation or Unito to automate this process so you're not having to duplicate work. Another option is to use the External Share…
-
@Byron Cahoon you can check this by looking at your workspace members (https://trello.com/{workspace name}/members). You'll be able to see the user role next to each user (normal or admin).
-
That seems strange! Can you try to recreate the behaviour by creating a card manually rather than with the template? I'm wondering if creating a card from the template has something to do with it 🤔 it might be worth reaching out to Trello support as well to see what's going on.

Hi @Jennie Griner ! I had a read through our rule and I don't see anything wrong with it - based on how it's written, I don't see any reason as to why it wouldn't work. However, I'm not understanding how the screenshot you shared corresponds with your rule. Based on how your rule is written, the check-items should appear…

Hi @Garth Bond ! Welcome to the community :) I'd recommend starting out by browsing through Trello's templates if you haven't already. Here are a couple of good ones: https://trello.com/templates/engineering/scrum-board-dFzygb01 https://trello.com/templates/engineering/agile-sprint-board-ZqN99gGN You can find all…
