Hi @Gwyn Brown ! Welcome to the community :) Are you referencing comments in the card? So you're trying to add a comment to a card, but that option doesn't seem to exist? Maybe the board admin disabled comments? https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/disabling-comments-on-cards/

Hi @Olivia Henao ! Just to confirm, you're wanting to add a condition to your rule "when I enter a card name containing a date..." command so that it only applies to the cards created from email. Is that right? It's not possible to add a condition to that particular trigger. My first thought would be to use a different…

Hi @Daryl Louise Kudemus ! Welcome to the community :) The in-built way to handle "subtasks" in Trello is through checklists as you mentioned. So if the board represents the book, the cards are the titles, the checklists would be the tasks that need to be done for each spread (e.g. write content, design illustrations,…

Hi @Scott Douglas ! Welcome to the community :) It's not possible to add card buttons to the front of cards but there might be another way to achieve what you want with less clicks. 1. Create an automation rule to move cards to the "Done" list when the due date completion checkbox is checked: 2. Create a "Done" label and…

@Sheryl ah! Ok that's strange then. Just re-looking at my Trello and the text color actually appears black when editing the description, but then shows red when saving like so: I know the Trello team are making changes to the description editor as we speak, so you might want to reach out to them and see what's…
-
@Yen Yi Chew welcome to the community! Just to clarify, your question asks how to only convert the incomplete check-items into linked cards. In your description, you mention the method of checking an item, then selecting the button to convert the incomplete ones, then un-checking them again is a workaround. What would be…
-
@Sheryl welcome to the community! :) It looks like you have the new version of Trello's description text editor. There's a post here that talks about it along with how to turn it off/on.

Hi @Katherine Wiant ! Welcome to the community :) you can achieve this with butler automation. Try something like the below:
-
Hi @Jeff R_ Hale ! If it's a paid power-up, it would be a 3rd-party app managed by a company that's not Trello, so I'd suggest reaching out to their support team or referring to their website.
-
Hi @lfamigliette ! Welcome to the community. If you're added as a member of a card, you should be getting notified. Try get someone else to assign you as a member of a card and see if you get the red notification bell: You can see a list of all the things you'll be notified of…
-
Hi @Christine Joy Panganiban ! Welcome to the community :) it is possible to send email reports to multiple email addresses by separating them with a semicolon (;), but it doesn't look like there's a way to cc email addresses for your email report. You can reach out to Trello directly and request this as a feature if you…
-
Hi @Cindy Mullaney-Evans ! Welcome to the community :) are you able to share a screenshot of your automation command so we can see what's missing? It's most likely you've missed out the {$report} variable in your email message. See documentation here: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/creating-reports-with-butler/
-
@Bori Bor welcome to the community! I'd suggest using a custom numerical field. You can sort lists based on this field, and it is also possible to create a pivot table using Dashcards.
-
Hi @Elizabeth Afrisio ! Welcome to the community :) Have you looked into creating a custom notification using butler automation? You can create a due date command and make it conditional. From there, it would just be a matter of setting the action to be to send an email to the card members.

Hi @Myra Limbaugh ! Welcome to the community :) I believe it's expected to not see any attached images in the calendar view; regardless of what Trello plan you're on. Same goes if you're using the calendar power-up or Trello's native calendar view - both calendars don't show the attached image. I'm not entirely sure what…
-
Hi @Sai ! Yes! It's possible to add images to your report. Trello uses markdown, so the format for adding an image in your email would be something like: . So the image would need to be hosted somewhere - whether that's just grabbing an image from the internet, or uploading an…
-
Hi @Jamie Featherstone ! Welcome to the community :) when copying a card from one board to another, any custom fields should copy over along with the value held in that field. However, it won't copy over the 6 other dropdown values; you'll need to enter those in manually. So, you can quickly copy the fields by copying +…
-
Hi @Georgina Oxlade ! Welcome to the community :) what part isn't working? Are you able to detail the steps you're taking and the expected vs actual behavior? Based on what you've shared, this would be the expected behavior: - Cards are contained in list "X" and each card has a due date. The "X" list is currently unsorted.…
-
Hi @ericliao ! Are you able to share what you see when using the code block formatting? For me, the background color is grey. For your second question, it's not possible to change the text color in Trello using their default text formatter. Maybe checkout Trello Optimizer? It looks like they do code syntax highlighting…
-
Hi @Hannah Latham ! Welcome to the community :) assuming you're referencing the workspace views? For the moment, it's expected to just see the card level within the different workspace views; it doesn't go down to the checklist item level. It would be great to see both though! You can talk to Trello directly if you want to…
-
Hi @Ryan Deussing Welcome to the community! When you complete a card (i.e. check the due date checkbox), it looks like it's expected that the card doesn't get a strikethrough in Trello's native calendar view. Checklist items will appear crossed off when they're completed, but not cards.
-
Hi @Florian Dollinger ! Welcome to the community :) it's not possible to natively sync cards between boards for the moment. A couple of options in terms of creating a consolidated view of your assigned cards: 1. Use "My Cards". This isn't a board view, but it's Trello native solution to managing your assigned cards. 2.…
-
Hi @Jefferson Ramos ! Welcome to the community :) are you getting stuck at a certain point? Are you able to share what you've created so far? If you're able to share any screenshots or copy/paste the commands you've created, that would be helpful!
-
Hi @montanna elliott ! Welcome to the community :) For the moment, Trello doesn't offer really granular user permissions. The observer privileges aren't customizable. Additionally, if a member is added to the board, they can view/edit all cards on the board; it's not possible to restrict edit access to certain cards or…
-
Hi @Donna Harmony Jones ! Welcome to the community :) it is possible to move cards between boards. This can be done manually, or automatically through butler automation. A couple of examples of how it could work with butler if you wanted to automate it: 1. When the "X" label is added to a card, move the card to the "X"…
-
AFAIK, butler can only do calculations with custom fields, so yes, you would need the values to be held within custom fields in order to create a calculation.
-
I believe you can use number and date custom fields in your custom field equations. So yeah, if you're looking at using a random number in your calculation, you could use a variable such as the one you mentioned, or take the checklist item name value and add it to the custom field. I'm not sure how the latter would work in…
-
Yes, that's right - you just need to type the {username} variable into the textbox when creating your command. There's already an "@" included in the action, so no need to add it twice :)
-
Hi @Darcy Colling ! Yes, it's possible :) Try: when a card is added to the board, add member @{username} to the card
-
Hi @Sarah Churcher ! Welcome to the community :) label changes are not included in Trello's default notifications. A best practice would be to use lists to represent the status instead. That way, you'll get a notification by default, plus you'll be able to get a timestamp in the card of when something transitioned from one…
