Hi @axx30711435 ! Welcome to the community :) it is definitely possible to automate checklist creation based on different triggers ("when the of a card description contains" is one of them). What would the actual checklist items be? One way to approach it would be to create templated checklists in a separate card. So let's…

@Artoer Mkrtchyan welcome to the community! Would adding a simple alphanumeric custom field to your board for the estimated duration work?

Hi @[deleted] ! Welcome to the community :) I'd start by looking at what Trello offers out of the box. You have different views you can toggle between within your board. From the calendar view, you'll see the option to sync with your calendar - see more info here (note this guide mentions using the calendar power up but it…

@Maciek Sosnowski the variable you're using for the due time is wrong. It should be {triggercardduedatetime}.
-
Hi @MB ! It doesn't look like a trigger in butler automation that says something like "when a card has been inactive for X amount of days", so I'm not sure if there's going to be a straightforward solution for you. However, a few options come to mind: 1. Using Dashcards. You can create a dashcard for stale cards, and from…

That's strange - are you able to share the command you've created? Here's what it looks like for me:

Hi @wargnies julien welcome to the community :) Trello doesn't offer this feature natively, but you can achieve this using Unito's board sync power-up. Basically, you connect two or more boards together and set rules for what cards sync (e.g. any card that gets the "green" label syncs automatically to the "green" board),…

Ok cool well glad we were able to isolate the issue! I'd reach out to trello support to flag it with them so they can work on a fix. I'm just a random community member so not much I can do ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I don't get the same result on my side; I'm able to add actions just fine. Maybe there's an extension or 3rd-party of some sort that's messing with it? Have you tried from a different browser or incognito window to rule that out? Do you see anything in the console?
-
Hi @Mike Macauley ! Welcome to the community :) you can check off a card by checking the due date checkbox: This won't automatically archive the card, but you can automate that through butler automation. So a basic rule like "when a due date is marked as complete is a card, archive the card". An alternative could be "when…

Hi @Mark Fenton Sweep Services ! What integration are you using with google calendar? Did you just paste the Trello board's iCal link into your calendar as mentioned here? I think it's expected that only the due date syncs over. Maybe try the Unito power-up instead? I believe they support both start and due dates but I…

Hey @Thomas ! Welcome to the community :) are you able to share any of the automation commands you've tried so far? Not sure if this is close to what you want, but it might help lead you down the right path! when the blue "PR" label is added to a card, lookup a card titled "Project End Date", set custom field "Project End…

Hey @Carlos Buarque ! Welcome to the community :) It's expected that it doesn't sync in real-time. I believe it refreshes once a day as mentioned here (see note at the bottom of the article). If you're needing something a bit faster, I'd recommend Unito's Trello<>GCal integration. It is a paid power up by the way.
-
Hi @Tim Keen ! Welcome to the community :) it should definitely be possible. Have you explored any integrations yet with email-->Trello? Here are some links to get you started: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/creating-cards-by-email/ And some gmail-specific ones:…

Hi @Kevin ! Welcome to the community :) are you using the ICal link method mentioned here? And probably a silly question, but are you able to confirm all the cards you expect to see in your calendar have due dates? Also note that the sync isn't live; it refreshes about once a day I believe.
-
Hey @Andrea Fleisher ! Welcome to the community :) there's no setting to turn this off, however, there is a big thread here that talks about this particular feature quite extensively and there are a few workarounds offered. For example, adding backticks to your link or removing the "https://" part of the URL. It also looks…

Hi @olinesn ! What does it say in the command log? Generally, it'll give a more detailed description as to why it failed.

@Gabby Bidwell welcome to the community! Yes, that's right; Trello's pricing works at the workspace level. It would make better sense to have one main workspace for the company and then organise the boards into collections. You can also make certain boards private if you don't want to share them with all workspace members.
-
Ah, that might be a limitation of the IOS version. You can always reach out to Trello support to see if that's expected.

@Marketing Team you can automate the checklist item due dates based off the card due date. Someone asked a similar question recently actually! In your case, you would just need to subtract the dates instead of add. The suggested solution of creating parent-child cards is fully automated. Here's a quick snippet of what it…
-
@Maciek Sosnowski good point! I guess the {cardduedate} variable doesn't look at the card due time. If you want the due time to copy over, you'll need to also use the {time} variable which can be used in combination with {cardduedate}. So the rule would change to: when a due date is set on a card, find the first card…
-
@Heath you can setup your own custom reminder using butler automation :) what you want is a due date command.
-
Strange! Are you able to share a screen recording? Also what browser are you using? Your UI looks a bit different (save and cancel buttons are much wider). Have you tried a different browser or incognito mode?
-
@Entrepositive based on your screenshot, it looks normal to me. I can see the action under the "add card" tab (there should only be one action there). What do you see when you select the other tabs (move cards, lists, sort, etc.)? Also, are you accessing Trello from the web app? If so, what browser?
-
@Olivia Henao I don't think the due date match needs to be at the beginning of the string. It could be anywhere in the title. You just need to make sure you're removing the correct matched text. In the original command you shared, the matched text contained the department and need, so it would remove this information in…

Hi @Bree Hassel ! Welcome to the community :) I'm on android but I assume the process would look like quite similar on an IPhone? Here's how it looks for me (note you need the Trello mobile app):

Hi @denizsutas welcome to the community! It's not currently possible to set permanent list sorting so that cards always stay in that order (like in Airtable or Notion), but you can use butler automation to help keep your cards in order. You might want to have several commands: 1. A schedule command: 2. A trigger-based…

@Дмитрий Мальяков welcome to the community! Trello doesn't off the ability to customize what activity you'll be notified of - it's either all or nothing. One way to cut down on notificaitons is to un-watch cards: Moving forward, you can un-check the option to watch cards when commenting: (this will be applied to all…
-
Hi @N_M Catering ! Welcome to the community :) yes, it's possible to set this up with butler automation! Butler is able to set due dates on checklist items automatically - in your case, you want these dates to be a variable seeing as it will always be different. To achieve this, you would need a custom date field to hold…
-
@Marketing Team welcome to the community! :) It is possible to populate custom date fields in a card based on the due date using the {cardduedate} variable. Your variables would then need to subtract x amount depending on when the date needs to be set (see date arithmetic). Are you able to clarify a bit more the second…
