Great update. I like it. It would be useful for the original article to be updated to include these deltas so we have all the information in one place rather than having to cross reference two pages.
-
It was not raised. Yes, please escalate.
-
I disagree with you but respect your opinion and share your frustration. There are absolutely use cases where Plans beats any other tool - especially when Jira is at the heart of your delivery tooling. Not having the availability of Original Estimate is an annoyance, not a primary use case. There are many other options to…

Very surprised this is not being offered to Premium customers. When do we get a definitive answer on whether Premium will be supported or not?
-
That was it! Thank you so much. Milestone Screen did not have Issue Type while Task Screen did. Lesson learned - always include Issue Type in the screen.
-
Same field configuration, different screens. But what is weird is I can go Task -> Milestone but not Milestone -> Task. I can use Move to go in either direction.
-
I don't think that's definitive though? I have a custom issue type, Milestone, at the same level as Task with the same workflow as Task. I can use Change Issue Type to move from Task to Milestone but I can't use it to change from Milestone to Task. This is on Jira Cloud Premium.

@Sara Beyer the most recent update I got from Atlassian is that the privilege model for Goals is due CY2025. I'm hoping for a more specific date from Team 25. Fingers cross it's sooner rather than later as it's also preventing us from adopting Focus.
-
Has this been with drawn? I can't see anything.
-
The suggestion I've floated is that Atlassian introduce a goal type so we can differentiate between, say, enterprise strategic goals and team goals. Currently the only way to do this is with labels. Then Atlassian introduce a permissions scheme associated with the goal type where create/read/update/delete permissions are…
-
Disappointed that read-only vs. read-write roles haven't been implemented. The use case is Goals for organisational strategy. We'd have a large number of read-only users (i.e. the whole company) but only a handful of read-write users (i.e. the corporate strategy team). Also disappointed that deny-by-default private goals…

Thanks for your insights.

@Nicole Downes Atlas is being merged into Atlassian Home as part of "platform experiences". It won't exist as a separate product and you won't have to install anything.
-
@Jay Gurnani Is this open to other customers? I note in the product documentation this is a documented limit. (Refer https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/compass/components/add-or-remove-component-dependencies/#what-are-component-dependencies?)
-
Sean, Harrison, I've also been evaluating Atlas and looking at potential usage patterns/models. With regards to Projects being naturally aligned to Jira Epic issue types, I've provided feedback that it should be any issue type at Epic level or higher. I think that is just a short term omission due to few customers using…
-
For those of us who were signed up to Atlas before Platform Experiences launched and have not yet been migrated to Platform Experiences, can we participate in the alpha testing?
-
Just looking a this now. Am I right that "Add structure" is now described as "Improve Description" in the tool? Is there a way to point the AI at an existing template and/or issue whose structure you want to imitate?

I'm not a heavy user of these widgets. However, as an organisation admin I'd like more warning about this change. The first I heard of it was a nasty amber banner over my users dashboards. It doesn't appear in the cloud roadmap as far as I'm aware. Now I'm getting questions re: impact to users with the only information…
-
Thorough answer, thank you.
-
Thank you.
-
Are you logging out and logging in again? If so it's likely that your organisation uses Atlassian Guard and 2FA re-verification makes you re-verify via 2FA each time you log in. It can be configured with a re-verification timeout of, say, 7 days. However, that setting only applies if you stay logged in and exceed that…
-
Thanks for the info @Nir Nikolaevsky I'm not worried about the migration activity itself. I'm just nervous about doing an evaluation that comes with a lot of stakeholder management and a proof-of-concept when the underlying tool might change. I get that at a high level there will be feature parity. But at a detailed level?…
-
Great feature. Is there any plan to add a global setting so you don't need to inspect individual projects?
-
Thanks for confirming. If we're putting together a list of gaps I'd also include the lack of Automation for Atlas. For example, when I create certain initiatives in Jira I'd like to automatically create an Atlas Project to track (or vice versa).
-
We are in the middle of adopting Atlas. When will the change to Platform Experiences take place if we already have an Atlas instance?
-
Just installed the beta today. My initial impression is great. It has been a pain in the past to crate fully fledged pages using the editor when all I want to do is a simple grouping. This is doubly so in nested hierarchies. For example, we'll have weekly meeting minutes that are filed in the hierarchy as Meeting Minutes…

That answer is very helpful. It has opened my eyes up to CQL - which I'd not used yet - even though I use JQL regularly. I still can't come up with a solution but I do have a few more tools now.
-
Great change. Thank you. When we went through an org change 2 years ago the lack of this feature hampered us. Hopefully other customers will find it easier in the future.
-
Ok, ours is rolled out now.

One tip for anyone who uses sandboxes as a pre-production staging environment and already use the Team field. This change won't migrate Shared Teams until the production site is migrated. So if you've taken the change in to sandbox but not production, it will look weird. Basically, the Team assignments will be retained but…
