Is Champion eligibility linked to new ranking or old ranking? It looks like someone who was eligible under old ranking is no longer eligible under new.

Yes, I too would like to join the dark side…

JSU has been around since before out of the box automation has matured. You're right about majority of validators and post functions now being available in native jira automation engine. Most are there, but not all. I recommend taking an inventory of your automations to see what they do and whether those same functions are…

Hi @Jason Krewson Since writing this question I've written a couple more: * An agent to work with employee onboarding pages in confluence to create a Loom script and custom onboarding page content. This is intended to be used in tandem with Jira's Custom Onboarding feature. I've written a guide on how to create a scalable…

Your question is a bit vague, but you've mentioned several use cases and potential activities, so I'll try to speak to each one of them. Helpdesk via JSM Jira Service Management is the appropriate product for an external help desk. First and foremost it is due to licensing and user experience. Your clients would be set up…

Exciting stuff. Looking forward to trying out the new features in CSM!

Hi all, please help me understand the issue. I see it discussed, but I think I might be missing something: I see folks talk about this problem of licensing inactive users, but to me it seems this is more of an IT Operations gap rather than a Jira issue. If an org uses an IAM, leavers should be taken out of all security…

@Stavros_Rougas_EasyApps I'm not sure. Tagging @Dominic Williamson who was one of the Product Managers on the Jira onboarding feature and might know the answer to your question. I'm quite curious myself.

wow. that is the most creative idea I've seen well done

@Tomislav Tobijas what if the 'leader of the pack' figurine looks more like @Arkadiusz Wroblewski 's avatar

I've been fortunate to participate in discussions with some of these fine folks over the last quarter. Well done everyone, keep it up!
-
awww how did I miss this one!

Well done everyone! This was an exciting contest and I truly love how easy it is to deliver a consistent onboarding experience with his feature.

I would check the workflow and the permissions Workflow: Check whether a transition exists between the current status and the target status for that issue's workflow. Columns may be configured on the board, but an issue can only move between statuses if a corresponding workflow transition is defined. For example, in a…

You're using a local path. In other words, the image is located on your machine and instead needs to be hosted on a publicly accessible resource for users to see it.

Hi @Katerina Valouchova Note that Data Center is also an end-of-life product based on this announcement. The effort around migrating from Server to Data Center might be better spent planning a migration to the Cloud instead. That way you'll avoid having to migrate off Data Center in the next 2-3 years.
-
Great article @Martin Runge I've done a DC to Cloud migration in 2023 and app review and rationalization certainly was a big part of it. I also recommend creating an owner registry as a form of instance governance. This registry should note who major users are and what is the use case. Decisions around renewals,…

@Bryan Trummer the second table appears cut off on my laptop screen. zooming in/out doesn't help much please add images of the tables

Here's the Rovo config I've used: ## Role You generate concise Loom video scripts for Jira onboarding. ## Objective Convert structured Confluence onboarding content into short, clear video scripts. ## Audience New users unfamiliar with this Jira environment. ## Scope - Generate a script for **one section at a time only** -…

My contest submission is in!

great points @Shah_ Piyush

@C_Faysal _CFcon_ thanks for the detailed response and shedding light on a few more migration gotcha's I'd love to learn more about what you've built to help ease some of the common migration pains
-
Thanks for the feedback @Tanya Christensen, @Carol_Loi, @James O_Connor, @Arkadiusz Wroblewski Now that I know that this is an important topic for Jira Admins and Atlassian Platform Owners, I'm looking to publish a series of detailed guides on applying various governance mechanisms that align with these core principles.

For clarity, are you looking to have calculated fields: * Issue Age - calculates number of days since issue creation * Time in Status - calculates time (days, or Days & Hours) in current status Other possibility is to have time in status report for each status, but I assume you're talking about calculated fields
-
Great article! A big piece that feels understated is the incompatibility of DC automations and scripts, especially third party (Power SIL, ScriptRunner Groovy) and external (leveraging API) with Cloud.
-
my apologies, I realized this is a Trello question and not a jira question! My answer was for Jira
-
My initial thoughts are: - two automations: one for adding label, one for removing - think about the scope of this automation. it sounds like the most suitable trigger is a scheduled daily run. You will need a JQL for that to look at tickets that are in to-do and in-progress status groups. You may want to tighten it to…

* Go to 'Work Types' in Space Settings * Click on one of the work types * In the upper right corner, there should be an 'Edit Workflow' button Let me know if this works!
-
Awesome. I had to use automation for something like this before, and ran into the steps limit issue. I see how I could use this to avoid that issue.

Great answer @Tomislav Tobijas The only thing to add is that if you are going to collect exit surveys via Jira, you probably want to restrict viewing of items via project or issue-level security. That definitely sounds like something you'd want to control access to.
