Hi @Tom Jones [Appsvio], Just FYI that commenting posts which are not active for more than 6 months breaks the community guidelines No necroposting: Aka, no "raising threads from the dead." In general, avoid posting on old threads (six months or more old) simply to promote your products. Cheers, Jack

You're welcome. I can propose Clockwork Free or its paid version Clockwork Pro created by my team. In case of any questions. Let us know.

@Kwai Ling Ma, Some third-party apps from Marketplace can help you get better reports in Next-Gen.
-
Hi @Cristian Floristean, Jira does not offer it for sure. You can try Clockwork Pro or Clockwork Free offered by my team. It does exactly what you need (offers the Start/Stop timer button) as well as a bunch of other useful things. Cheers, Jack
-
You can take a look at the Marketplace apps and try anything free like Clockwork.
-
Hi, Scriptrunner is powerful but overcomplicated for some tasks. For this particular use case, it might be simpler to use a dedicated app, e.g. our Issue Checklist Free or its paid version Issue Checklist Pro. Both apps allow to quickly define the list of required checkboxes and set workflow restriction to require all…

Tasks' list is not part of all markdown implementations. It is definitely not a standard: https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc7763
-
There is a free and powerful checklist available too: Issue Checklist Free
-
Hi @Nilesh Deshmukh, That is not possible in pure Jira. However, you can achieve that with some of the third-party apps available from Marketplace. I can propose Clockwork Pro or Clockwork Free provided by my team. It gives the following panel right beneath the Description. Let me know if that helps. Update: I'm…

Hi @Barry Williams You can try automated time tracking offered by Clockwork Free or Pro. This way you can increase the accuracy of time reported by users. I don't know if it allows hiding the Log Work button though. I have asked the team and I'll let you know when I get an answer. Cheers, Jack
-
Hi Vasily, If you are using Issue Checklist Free or Issue Checklist Pro, please contact us directly through Service Desk. Cheers, Jack
-
Hi @spryce, Try classic projects in that case. Next-gen looks like a huge experiment for me and it lacks lots of things.
-
You can try to install any time tracking app from Marketplace, e.g. Clockwork Free provided by my team. Clockwork should give you the time reporting capabilities you need. Time is saved to Jira's worklog so you can use Jira or Clockwork built-in reports or any other tool to see the time logged. Cheers, Jack
-
@arslan aslam You might consider keeping Acceptance Criteria in the form of a todo list.
-
The Hide Time Tracking plugin replaces Jira standard time tracking with its own but empty implementation. This way some parts of the Jira intefrace related to time tracking disappear. You might also try to achieve the same, but leave time tracking visible in some project or for some users/groups with Clockwork…
-
This is exactly what Clockwork apps (free or paid) delivered by my team do. They track time automatically based on issue status, assignee and number of working hours per day. So, if a user is assigned an issue for 2 days, but the issue was "In Progress" for only 8 hours, then 8 hours will be logged. Cheers, Jack
-
I also don't know the way of forcing people to log time in Next-Gen. However, you might want to try automatic time tracking provided by Clockwork apps (free or paid) delivered by my team. This way time is tracked automatically based on issue status, assignee and number of working hours per day. Cheers, Jack

You can add a custom field of type free text or a list of predefined checkboxes (always the same) as explained by Steve and Pete. However, if you need a flexible list of checkboxes then only third-party plugins can do this. I can propose Issue Checklist Free developed by my team with a set of handy features like default…
-
@Andrey Ponomarenko You cannot achieve this in Jira as far as I know. I also don't know if any plugin solves the problem exactly as you need it. There are plenty of them so you might want to check. The only thing that I can propose is to take a look at the Clockwork Pro or Clockwork Free plugins provided by my company.…
-
When you ask team members to log the time and you check if they did it, you are still not sure how precise their report is. It might be easier to track time automatically with the Clockwork app provided by my team. This way, when the issue is being closed, the accurate time spent is always there.

Hello @heba arafa , We have this case covered in the documentation: https://herocoders.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/IC/pages/26738722/Bulk+apply+checklist You need to add a custom field to a screen first, so it requires some knowledge of Jira. But if you want to apply a checklist template to tens or hundreds of issues, then…
-
@chadd, I can see that you are waiting for a checklist in the Description. TBH I wouldn't count on Atlassian with this one (at least not in the short term). New Issue View is evolving very slowly now, and it seems that Atlassian puts more resources into Next-Gen. Instead of waiting, you can try the free checklist delivered…

Hi Corey, Next-Gen projects do not support workflow validators as Classic projects do. Therefore it is not possible to block the transition (moving cards between columns). There is an open request to allow editing workflow in Next-Gen which you may want to vote and comment: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-17434…
-
You can also try a Clone Epic feature of the free app Epics Map for Jira provided by my team.
-
@Jose Machado, it should clone/duplicate entire Epic tree. Please reach the support at support@herocoders.com if it doesn't. They will be able to help. Cheers, Jack

Hi, AFAIK it is not possible to do it purely in Jira. But you can try some of the third-party apps from Atlassian Marketplace, e.g., Clockrowk Pro or Clockwork Free delivered by my team. Cheers, Jack
-
Hi @Michael Arndt, If I understand your requirement correctly, you don't need Checklist Content YAML field at all. You also don't need any changes related to Jira screens. Please take a look at the default checklist concept in our documentation. It is as simple as letting the Issue Checklist know which checklist template…

BTW. The checklist can be shown in the Jira mobile app now (in text format only): https://gebsun-support.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/IC/pages/1223786517/Show+checklist+in+mobile+app

Hi, It is now possible not only to show the checklist on the standard View Issue page but also show it on the Create and Transitions screens (in text format only): https://gebsun-support.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/IC/pages/1240793165/Checklist+on+Issue+Create+screen Cheers, Jack
