Hi @Pranav Tendulkar and welcome to the community! What are you using to display the Gantt chart? Is it native Jira Timeline or a 3rd party plugin? Are you on Jira standard or Premium? Are the Epics in the same project? Configuration of JIra Timeline is done via Board settings (click the three dots to the right of your…

Hi @Kiran Punjabi It could be done using a automation but you might need to play around whith the scheduling to get it to execute as per your requirements.

Hi @Fatima AlZarooni Go to the board you want to update and click on the three dots in the left sidebar and choose "Board settings" -> Layout

Hi @[deleted] If you are a seasoned administrator you often can find your way around. There are no real reason to document the workflows in general for example but there is a value to define how the different statuses relates to i.e the development or incident process. Other things that might speed up fault-finding: * User…

Many organizations do waterfall but call it Agile because they have some agile ceremonies in place. As @Stephen_Lugton wrote the actual process is similar. Agile is just short "cycles" of gathering requrements, development, test, deliver and evaluate. There is a big difference in doing Agile and being Agile. It is not a…

Hi @Ashok Shembde It has been a while since I did this but from my experience there is a risk of loosing the relationship if you bulk move of all issues in one go.. If you move the Epics (and included Task/Stories) individually it should work, Move issues from Team managed project to company managed project with Epic and…

Could you share a print screen of your sidebar in Confluence? It should look like this if you are on the new layout

Hi @Tobias Wagner and welcome to the Community What is it that you are lacking when it comes to the task report? * Create a Team via the ...More menu in the left bar for each project. * In the meeting notes do a @mention of the team for each task (/action + @mention team) Confluence will automatically add the name of users…

Hi @Laurie Thompson I think these page gives you a good start when it comes to understanding different concepts of user management when in Jira. Manage users, groups, permissions, and roles in Jira Cloud | Atlassian Support Manage role and product permissions | Atlassian Support Confluence is simpler because there is not…

Atlassian rekommends to use filters to narrow searches if the project contains more than 5000 work items to speed up performance but there is no actual limit for the number of work Items that can be contained in a project In my experience you will see performance issues way before that especially when it comes to board…

Meeting notes, Product Requriements and the DACI template are my favorites. In general there has been a massive addition of templates the last couple of years. Much appreciated!

Roadmaps and Hierarchies for the win!

Hi Janina The highest level is Organization Admin and with that you can do everything in Jira including creating groups, manage users, change billing and adding new apps. You should keep this kind of power to a very small group of trusted individuals. As a Jira-administrator you can change shared schemes for company…

Currently there is no way to do this. But I agree that it would be a very nice feature. I is not unusual that customers has 10-20% of the users not been logged in for 6 months (still working in the company though). There is a ticket "Under consideration" please go in and vote for it to give attention to this feature.…

I haven't seen that screen before. It looks like you have some kind of plug-in doing this. Could you also check the workflow for any post-actions in the transition? That might give you further clues. What do you mean with "close itself when entering the status "Accepted"" "Closed" and "Accepted" sounds like statuses. To…

Hi @[deleted] and welcome to the Community! The information you need is available via the REST API https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/jira/platform/rest/v3/api-group-projects/#api-rest-api-3-project-search-get It should be possible to build a forge app in Confluence to display the information Do you need this to be…

I don't think this is possible based on native Jira functionality, but there might be marketplace apps that provides something similar. I have a customer with a similar use case where we have a specific work item type called Initiative that links to Epics. We have defined a specific relationship (relaizes/realized by) for…

I do not think this is related to the status. From your description it sounds like there is an Automation performing this action. Normally Jira is perfectly fine with you closing all sub tasks without affecting the status of the parent. Click on the cog in the upper right corner and choose System -> Global automation and…

My all-time favorite soda is the Swedish "Pommac". It has been the same recipe since 1919. Fruity taste and golden color. Stored in oak barrels which adds a unique taste. For a short period of time it was also available as a icecream. *nostalgia*

That is a brilliant solution! I will bookmark it for future use.

Using Jira Product Discovery for CSM is a brilliant idea. I will absolutely use that to play around in my own JPD instance. This made me think about adding the customers business processes in JPD to be able to score and prioritize process improvements. Do you have any thoughts on what inputs to use for scoring?

Very informative workshop. I think Rovo will be a big help in structuring and finding information in Confluence. Many studies show that people spend a good part of their workday looking for the right information. The drawback with AI is that it is now even easier to create a lot of information of low value, so as always…

Hi @Johannes Andrei Unana Just wanna check in with you. Did the proposed solution work or is there anything else you need help with? If the solution worked, please mark the answer as accepted to help other community members to find working solutions All the best! /Staffan

The rule is looking for "Some Stories (or other issues in this Epic)" and as you have described there are no issues in the Epic, only linked issues. Again, this is not a good idea and I recommend you to use Epics as intended in Jira.
-
You need to create the branch based on linked issues instead of parent Epic since that is the type of relation you are using. But I doubt it will be a reliable solution since you might have several Epics that would be affected by the rule unintentionally. I highly recommend you to re-evaluate how you are using epics since…

Hi, @Gustavo I should have started by asking if you in a Company managed project or a Team managed project? Look in the bottom left corner if it says "Team managed"
-
Ok, then I understand why it doesen't work. The Task should be a child work item and not a linked work item. It makes sense to set the Parent Epic to "In progress" when the work is started on included work Items. All planning and progress reports in Jira are based on the parent/child structure where the Epic is the…

OMG! Thanks for sharing! Last time I spent hours using a spreadsheet, This will save me a lot of time.
