Thanks for your detail response @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- Just some comments: A board is a view of a selection of issues, it's not a container What do you mean by container on this context? It is clear to me that is a selection of issues, because it is based in a filter. I am incline to use KANBAN project, i.e. my…

Thanks for your response @Nic Brough -Adaptavist- very explanatory. So when we select a type of project what we are actually selecting is a specific project template. About my following statement: Since we want to enable multi-sprint I don't know if this option is available for a Kanban project too Yes, Kanban type of…
-
Thanks @Sabeena for your prompt response, but I am not following you. You can have a Kanban project and then define a Scrum board and have sprints, so you can run sprints within a Scrum board, from a Kanban project. That should not be a reason for not to chose a Kanban project under the mentioned configuration, or maybe I…

It works thanks!

Thanks @Vamsi Kandala I think this is what I need, I wanted to find issues that were in a specific status in the past (at the beginning of the iteration), I am not interested in the actual status, but mainly in a set of possible statuses in the past. Per my understanding this the clause to use, but maybe I am wrong. Is…

Thanks it worked for me clearing the cache.

I have a similar problem, I would like to get rid of the log information. The equivalent JIRA function from Jira Cloud for Spreadsheet (google) doesn't generate this information (only error information is reported). It should be something customizable. For example if I want to just have the count of the resulting query I…

@Bill Sheboy I think you are correct, adding in both queries the created condition will reduce the differences in the number of stories returned. The WAS NOT missed on the story: DCK-2195 that was transitioned from Backlog to IN PROGRESS on 4/13/2022 and maybe some other added in order to return 108 vs 107 so I think there…
-
Thanks @Bill Sheboy it is a company-managed project. Adding created condition restrict the search, but it should not be necessary in my opinion, now I am getting the same count, but for the first query there is no need to add this additional constraint, for me it is weird or may be a possible bug, or maybe I am not…

@Alex Wrobel this is just to prevent to use of the template when an epic is created as a result of cloning an existing Epic, which makes sense, so the rule will apply ONLY when we are going to create an epic from scratch.
-
@Alex Wrobel I provide you with some guidelines on how to do it, this page is for helping people to solve specific questions your ask is more like consulting work, :-). I would suggest you try to follow the guidelines I provided and then try to implement them to your specific problem by trying to build an automation rule…

@Victor Gomes I would recommend you to use Google Spreadsheet for your reports. You can use the Adds-on: Jira Cloud for Sheets it is an official Atlassian product and it is free. So you can setup your queries to obtain the information you need, and then to create the corresponding reports.
-
Hi @Alex Wrobel I just showed how you can create a specific template for every epic, but the same rule should apply for adding sub-tasks/stories, but it all depends on how you would like to approach it. For example, for every epic, you can create a certain number of stories related to specific activities and use for…

thanks, @Bill Sheboy for Epic.Link.Name field when it worked it created just one column. In my particular case for labels, all of them are concatenated into a single column, but I know that for other fields such as Comment it creates a column per comment entry, but that is not the case.
-
Yes, you can use the Automation tool for that. For example this is the workflow for creating a new epic based on a given template. The description field gets populated according to this workflow: and in the description field you can customize the content, for example: h3. Business Value _<Summarize the Epic from the…

Thanks to @Bill Sheboy I raised a ticket with Jira Support, they are not able to reproduce the problem, but I showed the technician assigned the issue on my Google Spreadsheet. it seems to be something related to Spreadsheet and Jira Adds-on. It was working before, but now it doesn't. I realized that by moving the field to…
-
@Trudy P Claspill I don't think it is correct, Jira Cloud for Sheets provides the compound field Epic Link to track the epic associated to the given user story (if your query is looking for stories it should populate this information). This field provides the following attributes: Epic.Link, Epic.Color, Epic.ID,…

It is just to add in the Gantt view similar to today´s day a vertical line for specific milestones indicating the iD or the name as a visual representation of the milestones. In 2014 it was posted the following suggestion with 125 votes: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JPOSERVER-71

I am wondering how this is a valid answer. The initial question refers to Kanban projects, and the response seems to refer to Scrum where we have Sprints. The link used in the response refers to Scrum project, not saying anything about Kanban work. I see If I associate the source as board for Kanban projects it allows to…

So for example in order to create an initiative (higher hierarchy) you need create a specific project for that. Let's say a Program, that way when you create an initiative is tied to that Program that can have epics coming from let's say three Jira Projects to define such initiative that combines epics from the three…

I verified that the information is not reported in SECONDS, it is reported in MILI-SECONDS instead.
-
@Sérgio Hilgert Junior I verified that the time in status is not in SECONDS, instead MILI SECONDS.

I posted a question in Stackoverflow for parsing this information and I got a response. Here is the post: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/68146518/parse-days-in-status-field-from-jira-cloud-for-sheets/68146721#68146721

@Sérgio Hilgert Junior I am trying to use the same for getting the number of times the story was on a diven status. Did you find a way to parse the regular expression using Google Sheet? For example, using REGEXEXTRACT. For example in my instance I have the following:…

@Danut M _StonikByte_ thanks for your response. The word "completed" doesn't appear in the documentation I referred in my question to this specific gadget, so it is an underlying assumption. The workaround to show changing the initial date (changing every day the initial date to see the current progress), then…

Is it a Jira Query Language question or something different. Please provide more details and context about your question.
-
The status solution is not the same, you have limited color options and the text is only in upper case letters.
-
An update on this, the markup macro doesn't exist now. Currently the only similar functionality is Code Snipe, that generates a separated code block text based on a given programming language. It is not same as highlighting an inline text.

@Jeff Gerke I see, I am not getting this behaviour on my mac: I am using 1.6.10 plugin version. In my case I retrieve all the information through a JIRA filter, I don't think it is relevant, but... I was able to export the result into a CSV file and there is no extra line I also opened the download file with Microsoft…
