I don't get this behavior, can you share a screenshot so we can understand better the problem? I am assuming you are referring to this product: Jira Cloud for Sheets. Is it this one?
-
@Rodolfo So Yes, I did something similar but using VBA, the problem is that for a high number of issues the performance of the process is affected. I implemented a pagination strategy for both: 1) JIRA REST API with 100 limit and 2) Jira export download with 1000 limit. I implemented the solution using VBA. For downloading…

I am sharing the solution I have implemented in VBA for overcoming this problem: How to Overcome JIRA Record limit for Exporting into Excel File implementing a Pagination Strategy with VBA. at the end of the post, you can download an excel file that includes the VBA source code. I hope it would help, David

Thanks @Arpit Kabra I realized that it is possible, doing the following: * Click on the icon: "Export this filter to another format" * Select export Excel CSV (current field), i.e. put the cursor over this line * Right click on the mouse * Select: "Open link new window" * A new window from the explorer will pop up, then…

Update: Based on the support received from JIRA in the ticket: JST-469820. Recap: We had (thanks to @PhillipS ) a query like the following one to assign colors to the board cards: NOT status changed after -Xd AND status NOT in (DONE) where X represents the number of days, therefore the interval: [-Xd, now()] and DONE can…

@Morgan Knicely I was able to post a bug, but I am not able to find the syntax we can use for highlight the text: bold face, source code, etc. I realized that there is no way to edit the information we published, so I would like to be sure about how to use the syntax before sending a comment. Thanks. David

The above query will show also all issue created an untouched, even the before the condition is before the issue was created. In the example from @Alexey Matveev if I have an issue created a year ago for example and since then its status (YourStatus is the initial status of the workflow) has not changed, such issue will…
-
@PhillipS by the way the query needs to be updated in order to consider the scenario were the issue was created and not modified the status (TO DO), since it was created. This was already mentioned by @Arij in a previous post. I am getting always two issues with such characteristics (initial status with no changed since…

@PhillipS Card color is really a good idea!, I use it for the priority, but the priority is represented used some arrows icons too. My only comment is that in the way you describe your query, the order is relevant in order to have the information in different colors with the meaning you have. For example if you want three…

@Wade Tracy _Boise_ ID_ thanks for your answer, it looks like there is no easy solution for a simple query. I would like to provide to my team the possibility to identify issues with no progress from JQL, but it seems there is no solution for that. The REST API is a good option, but it requires to much effort for parsing…

I was trying to follow your solution, but I don't get what do you mean by: <team_board_filter_name>. I am trying to put it into a JQL. I was assuming you mean the board ID for the active sprint, for example the value: 317 from the URL for the active board: rapidView=317, but it does not work. Thanks. David

@Dmitry Klevakin the link does not work

The new version provides a better look and feel for the quick filters for Cloud version.

@[deleted] I was trying to solve a similar problem: Getting information about specific Sprint at the beginning. I don't think JQL will help you. Please take a look at the following question I posted: JQL on a given date does not return the same number of issues as in the Burn-up chart (Sprint start) I responded to myself…

As far as I know this is the expected behavior. Jira burns the effort (points or time) once the issue reached the right-most column of the board. Here you can find more information about Jira board specification: https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwarecloud/burndown-chart-777002653.html

@Isaias Salazar Torrealba Please review the summary of your question as well as the description, it looks you are looking for some help for doing massive changes. For being able to define a custom field with a list of possible values, here you have a similar question:…

Probably the workflow of the story is not the same as the workflow from the sub-task. If you associate a column with the status of the sub-task you will see the given sub-task at a given status. The stories also can be moved across the column board if the transition is compatible. In order to see stories and sub-tasks in…

@Tinker Fadoua if you remove/inactive the user account (sometimes you need it because you have a limited number of licenses) I guess you don't loose the history information. You can make a search by this user and you will see that under assignee field you will get the user name and then in parenthesis: (Inactive).
-
You can make a search first for the issues you would like to assign the system custom value. Then on the top right corner click on the ellipsis (cog) and select: Bulk Change. Then find your custom field and assign the given value. I hope this may help. Regards. David

Would you like to provide more information about the issue you have? Any screenshot?
-
@John P: We are using points, now I realize that the question refers to time estimation. With points this is the behavior.
-
The name of the columns have nothing to do with the status, you can have a column that is tied to more than one status. You can put an arbitrary name. From the status drop down menu you will see only the valid next status according to possible transition from the workflow the issue has to obey. The order probably for this…

try to enter just fred.smith

If I understood you well, sub-tasks don't not count for the estimation of the story. It does not sum them. You need to assign the estimation at the story level. I would recommend you to use sub-task as a checklist (or steps) of the work that needs to be done, but nothing else. It is also useful to re-assign specific…

I was able to get all the issues at the beginning of the Sprint parsing the JSON string. Here: JQL on a given date does not return the same number of issues as in the Burn-up chart (Sprint start) I documented how I was able to do it, in case it helps.
-
I am trying to respond to myself: Reading again the JQL specification for operators about when to use ON clause. It seems that we need to use it only in combination with other operators to identify changes for example: WAS, WAS IN, WAS NOT, WAS NOT IN or CHANGE. To identify changes in the status for example, but not alone…

@Martin van Vliet I was able to make run the query directly from the browser having an open session from my Jira project on another tab: https://xxxxxx.atlassian.net/rest/greenhopper/1.0/rapid/charts/scopechangeburndownchart?rapidViewId=305&sprintId=1185 For my sprint with ID 1185. There is a suggestion here for…

Were you able to finally test the connection for the burndown? I was trying to use postman with basic authentication with other authentication option I am getting the same result. I am getting this: { "errorMessages": [], "errors": { "rapidViewId": "The requested board cannot be viewed because it either does not exist or…

@HuwM OK If you need any help let me know. Please keep in mind that JIRA has a limitation of 100 records per query, so you need to implement a pagination strategy. Vote to this JRACLOUD-67722 open request if you want to have this number to be increased.
