@TheLaoring Perhaps the solution is to create a card button called "Accept Responsibility" that will add the member to the card and move it to In Progress, that way the person clicking it will know they have the maximum. I don't think there is any way in Butler to check whether or not the person already has 3 cards, but…
-
@Shogo Tarifa Amo there's no way to "loop through" all members on the card in Butler, so you couldn't pick out an individual name from just one of the members. If you're sending a greeting, though, why would you need just one name?
-
@Allison McQueen there's no "out of the box" link, but you can create customised integrations using both APIs, we have a product called BenkoBot that we use to create these types of systems for customers: http://www.benkobot.com/ Alternatively, you could use emails as the primary integration, so for example get Indeed to…

@Greg Weitzel i created a product called BenkoBoard that, among other things, unwatches any card you're added to and creates a linked card in your personal board for any card you're added to or any comment you're mentioned in. This means that each user: 1) Receives far fewer notifications and; 2) Has a card for each…

@Louisiane de Boissel If you use Placker you can set start and end times and then make them dependent on each other.
-
@Augusto Melo I think the TimeDoctor mobile app is the best way to do it. They have a backend Trello integration that allows you to "start/stop" against individual Trello cards you're a member of from your phone or tablet. I typically just have my phone on a stand next to my computer with TimeDoctor open on it.

@Katharine looks like a browser extension or power up to me
-
@Dimos I think Placker is the best tool for this
-
@Brittany York There are 2 reasons this might happen: 1) you're a member of the workspace and can see the board, but you haven't joined the board so you can't move cards into it, the solution is to join the board: https://help.trello.com/article/1090-unable-to-edit-a-workspace-board 2) Your boards are in different…

@Raegan Fordemwalt does the message arrive in slack at all? What does it look like when it arrives?
-
@Olivia Howard why not add the automation to the Weekly Planner board instead?
-
@Holly Beddoes as far as I know, board and card buttons should show up for all board members, including single board guests. There are no hidden lists in Trello, so if you also can't see a list you expected to see, you might be in the wrong board.
-
@Nora Evett in addition to being able to do that with Butler as above, I also created a product that creates a linked copy of any card you're added to, or comment you're mentioned in, in a personal Inbox list. It also unwatches any card you're added to so you only get notified about being added to a card or mentioned in a…
-
@Hillary Haskins I think what would need to happen from this point is for your client to add you as a member of their business class workspace, and for the board to also be a member of that business class workspace, and at that point your quota will be increased and paid for by your client. If you upgrade a separate…

@Peter Erlebach where abouts are you importing the data from?

@David Schovanec You might have more success asking this here: https://community.developer.atlassian.com

@Владислав Красько I created this product BenkoBoard which unwatches any card you're added to, then adds a linked copy of any card you're added to or where you're mentioned in a comment, in a central Inbox list in your personal board: http://www.benkoboard.com/ It also allows you to use Trello as a Gmail client, but you…

@Fallon Scoggins Yep sure Trello consulting is what we do! Just email team@benkoworks.com and we can discuss.
-
@Steve Hmm. You can use Butler to send emails to a fixed email address, or to members on the card, but AFAIK you can't use Butler to send emails to an email address mapped by username, so you'd have to have your emails stored in a way that mapped username to email. So if you created a list called "Email Map" and then add…

@Tracy Garcia I just noticed you posted a question in the community board already and responded there :) Sorry I missed that before
-
@Tracy Garcia Hey Tracy, if you run this function from apps script: https://gist.github.com/iaindooley/43900ae32bc30f3b94a73e546395bfc5 when you look at the callback URL that's registered, is the ID this long: AKxxxbxxxxxW7nWligns8xxxxxJhXabixUxxxxxuhxxx8Qc or this long:…

@Peter Erlebach yeah it's a pretty huge flaw in Trello's powerup architecture that the only powerups supported on mobile are those supplied by Trello. You can just use custom fields instead, then you lose the Crmble reporting features and export features, but if your sales are relatively low volume/high value (ie. not…

@Adam Hughes you only have to press the button for each card if you create a card button. You can create a rule instead and trigger when a card is created: The IDs are unique enough that generally you can refer to the first 2 or 3 digits alone and get a unique result. For example if you wanted to filter the board to search…
-
@Adam Hughes I posted the Butler command for it above, you don't do it for every card you create the Butler rule and it happens automatically for all created cards going forward. You can search based on ID, or you can filter based on ID.
-
@Adam Hughes well, every card has an ID that you can see from within the share link on the card. You can also add it to the title of every card that gets created with Butler: when a card is created rename the card to "{triggercardname} #{cardid}"
-
@Monik what you can do is create a new workspace, move boards from your existing workspace over to it, then look in your closed boards and reopen those other important ones: https://help.trello.com/article/752-changing-the-workspace-to-which-a-board-belongs https://help.trello.com/article/781-reopening-a-closed-board
-
@Adam Hughes what do you mean by "the number of an item"?
-
@Jackie Daniel there is no way to do this built in, but you can put in *some* protection using the API. The most bulletproof way I have done this in the past is with 2 API functions: 1) When a list is archived, unarchive the list 2) When a list name is changed, find a card in the "Board Definition" board named with the…
-
@Jim is the rule created under a different account on that board? Also can you post the rule as you have attempted to recreate it on the new board? Might be easier to debug the non-working example ...
-
@Lori Werner so in this context is a "step" a new checklist item? And could you say that the name of the checklist is a reliable indicator of what needs to be updated? Will the names of the cards remain the same?
