So my colleague asked me if we could do the sync that Daniel describes and I was like: Ugh. I have to figure out where I'm going to run a Python script? And do we schedule it daily? Weekly? And does it just overwrite all user properties? Can it just sync the "new" users? Then I thought: Wait, can't we just lookup a…

OH man, dynamically generated JQL. I didn't think about that. I thought you could just iterate through each issue from the original lookup, but augh, yeah, I guess that'd require another branch, which is a no-go.
-
BTW, I cribbed that JQL from this article: * How can I search for all tickets that have issue links to another project? Which links to this great thread about using the ScriptRunner functions to search for specific linked issues: * Filter to find issues with links to other issues which are unresolved But again, the huge…

Gah, @Bill Sheboy you beat me again! Great job asking if @Tyler Monroe might be on Data Center. If so, then he might have access to the ScriptRunner JQL Functions that I mentioned that could make this much easier. But as I mentioned, you and John already solved this for Cloud w/o access to ScriptRunner functions.
-
Heya @Tyler Monroe yes, this definitely should be do-able, although... it'd be a lot easier with ScriptRunner JQL Functions, which would let you do something like: project = SDP and issueFunction in linkedIssuesOf("project=CD and fixVersion={{version}}") (Although argh, because of changes in Cloud I don't think this is…

Despite Nic's objections otherwise, I think your case is a fine example of why someone might need to View template used. (See what template was used to create a page.) So then, Dominic's suggestion of using a label on the template might be very helpful indeed, as you could definitely do a check after a Page Published…
-
Ah, Confluence templates. Unfortunately I don't think there's any Automation actions available for those (yet). Best case scenario is you could trigger off of Page Published, although I can't remember if there's even a property (and most definitely not a Smart Value) that lets you see if a template was used to create a…

Ah yeah, it's a bit tricky, but Releases are tied to Versions, so hopefully that API has what you're looking for. https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/enable-releases-and-versions/
-
Hey @Robert Newton - yeah I think the problem is that JQL only is capable of returning issues. So you may have to go to the Jira REST API. There's details on how to do this here: * Automation for Jira - Send web request using Jira REST API And then you could hit this endpoint to get all the versions: * Get project versions…

Hey @A A Ron Geister _Trundl_ - maybe this report is a good starting point? Requests deflected When a customer goes to raise a request in the portal and starts entering a summary, articles are suggested to them based on the labels specified the article. If the customer selects the suggested article while raising a request…

Oh! I totally missed that you were using fractional points! So yeah, I think you could keep using a comma, if you used: ([0-9,]+)\) Confirmed in regex101 that this works: https://regex101.com/r/1L6pBV/1

Thanks @Jack Brickey! It's fixed now. That's what happens when I decide to rename something at the last minute. (Originally the site was called "Unanswered" until I realized that's not quite accurate.)

Ohai. I gritted my teeth, learned the bare minimum Javascript required, and wrote a thing: https://darryl.com/unaccepted Basically copy the link to your profile ID (it's under your Avatar, as "View Profile"). If you're handy with right-click/ctrl-click you can skip actually going to the page: Then paste it into my silly…
-
Hey @Madar, Andrew - yeah I'm running into the same problem. What a bummer. When I try outputting {{issue.Approvals}} or even {{issue.customfield_10042}} I get the same output, which does NOT appear to contain the createdDate or I think what you really wanted, completedDate for the approvals. This is what I get:…

To be clear, my example above is if you have previously logged in on your phone to your company's Atlassian site (which I assume my users must've done once before), but shows up even if you have logged out. If you not ever logged in (or clear all Atlassian cookies from your browser, which, can you even do that on a…

Hey so this is a bit old, but since @Andreas Krupp _catworkx_ found the official API and then @[deleted] made sure to emphasize that using the unofficial API that I found is silly and maybe idiotic, I will point out that after @Oliver Siebenmarck _Polymetis Apps_ correctly pointed out that it was unofficial, I replied that…

Hey @Mikael Sandberg yes you can run a mixed environment, but what we really want to know is if you have access to "Disallow new products" for Jira and JSM on this screen: https://admin.atlassian.com/o/YOURORGID/product-requests/settings
-
Hey @Shawn Doyle - ReleaseTEAM For us, the $48,000 question (cost to upgrade a 300-Agent JSM Premium instance to Enterprise) is with only one Enterprise Product whether you can edit the Product request settings for ALL products. Because if the text of the page is to be believed, you can only do it for products with an…

So, last answer for tonight (or maybe ever, in case the person unhappy with my comment on CLOUD-10325 also decides to delete this question): OF COURSE Atlassian wants to make it easy to sign-up for their products. It's how they got started. * Atlassian - 20 years of Atlassian, 20 lessons learned Software should be bought,…
-
Ohhhh, the incident occurred in Sept 2023 and you didn't notice the additional disk usage until now? Ouch. I understand the problem now, and am glad to hear Atlassian is helping out.
-
OMG, I missed @Rob Allan's comment from yesterday: "If you have the improved billing experience, you have to wait an additional 60 days after the products are deactivated to delete the organization." Seriously Atlassian? Is this a joke!??…
-
Ooh ooh ooh. I know. Atlassian is leaving this as an opportunity for a third-party vendor to "fill the gap" (classic Atlassian)! I mean, the Organizations REST API does have endpoints to Get organizations (so you can find out when somebody has created yet ANOTHER company-team-zx82asd site, by I guess checking every day…
-
Welp. This is a pretty depressing answer, found in a recent comment on CLOUD-10325: I have over 2 years of emails and meetings going back and forth with Atlassian on this issue. I even worked with their Shadow IT team while they were building the solution to block these from being created... However, to date, it's only a…
-
So not an answer, but even worse news: Another Community Leader tells me that even with Enterprise, he's still seeing rogue sites show up, and he suspects it's because Atlassian's "Product Requests" feature doesn't cover/block requests from folks on their mobile devices. That is... not great, considering that for many…

Here's of a screenshot of the rule in action. Or well, logs of it:
-
Aw c'mon guys, a bunch of IF-ELSE statements isn't any fun! I think @Niklas Malmberg the problem is that you should be using: {{issue.t-shirt size.value}} I don't know if Atlassian ever documented the value thing. There's a bit about it buried here:…

Oh man, that is awful. I really hope he has backups from Aurora.
-
Wait... wait. You have AWS RDS Aurora PostgreSQL. Did you explicitly disable automated backups/snapshots? :-{ Oh wait... that's not possible. But I guess you could've reduced retention period to 1 day. Their docs say: * You can't disable automated backups on Aurora. The backup retention period for Aurora is managed by the…

Sorry for the necropost, but today I discovered jira.new and confluence.new and thought that was pretty neat. Same caveat from @Andy Gladstone applies: pay attention to *which* Jira or Confluence instance it opened up the new ticket/page for. I think it uses "last instance", but haven't heavily tested. At any rate, I could…

Hey @Hariharan Iyer the bigger problem for @Anthony Nguyen isn't going to be the lack of a concat function, but rather that he wants to build the strings as part of advanced branching. Automation doesn't support "global" variables, and there's complications with scope of variables inside of branches. Additionally there's…
