Hi @Andile Luvuno, using Automation for Jira, one possible way you can implement this would be: * When: Issue linked * For Destination issue (Branch rule / related issues) * Then: Edit issue fields The rule will execute when you link an issue to another. The rule above assumes you want to edit the destination. For example,…

Hi @Aswathi D, if I understood correctly, you want to check whether the inputs are valid or meet a set of criteria before creating the issue. In this case, a validator could be an option where you can display an error message or something similar. However, based on your description, you will need a marketplace app such as…

Yeah, glad to be here. It may sound suspicious, but it is an excellent choice for your son's name! :)
-
Well, it seems the name's origin is from the East Slavs countries, so I'd say Evan, the same pronunciation used in South America. In North America, Ivan, which I'm now used to it. I don't have a preference, but the latter sounds more natural—especially here in Canada.
-
I don't have nicknames at work either, but people sometimes get creative pronouncing my first name— Ivan, Evan, Evaan, Ivanio, etc. Possibilities are endless... 🤦🏼♂️

Even though I’ve imported data from CSV several times, I always come across scenarios where the data ends up not getting imported the way I expect, and I have to spend time to figure stuff out. Personally, CSV import is the last resource—unless it’s simple enough. My two cents: One way I found to go about CSV imports that…

Hi @Sergio _, it looks like you're using the Jira project import tool. I'd suggest using an app like Configuration Manager for Jira, where you can change the key during the deployment, and it does the job pretty well. Also, do not make database changes; it will likely give you a hard time and won't work as expected,…

Assuming you're using Automation for Jira, you can try replaceAll by using something like {{issue.Marketing Value.replaceAll("([0-9])","")}} https://support.atlassian.com/cloud-automation/docs/jira-smart-values-text-fields/#replaceAll-String-regex--String-replacement-
-
If you cannot standardize to a particular currency, it would be easier to have something like "Marketing Value (USD)," I'd keep your field as a number rather than trying to manipulate the string. Although possible, I always find it tricky to predict and implement the rules to make them work properly. By keeping them…

Hi @Julia Choi; you will find plenty of good resources here in the community. I'd suggest joining the Training & Certification group if you haven't done it yet and exploring the content. Another good place to explore is Atlassian University, where you can find free training courses and learning paths to get certified.…

Yes. You could use the escalation service to set how often you want the service to run, the JQL query to compare your date custom field and populate the additional issue actions with the updates you want. Look at https://docs.adaptavist.com/sr4js/6.49.0/features/jobs/built-in-jobs/escalation-services to see an example of…

Welcome to the Atlassian Community. You need an app like Automation for Jira to achieve that. If that's the one you're referring to, here is one possible option you can try * When: Scheduled - define a schedule to trigger your automation. For example, daily at 5 am. * If: Issues match JQL - define the JQL to fetch issues…

@Alastair Dean, have a look at the default issue types that come with each Jira product at https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/what-are-issue-types/#Default-issue-types
-
Hi @Anthony Soller, try {{issue.parent.issuetype.name}}.
-
Welcome to the Atlassian Community. By design, it shows the name of the first column of your Kanban board. I don't believe you can change that. Have a look at https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/use-your-kanban-backlog/
-
Hi @George Tsangaris, fields like time spent can be exported in seconds, so you need to convert the values to the format you expect. Random numbers sound like serial numbers when you open them in excel, which you need to convert to date format by selecting the column and applying the date format or a custom date format. If…
-
You can get custom field data as smart values, even if the issue in the JQL lookup won't return the custom field, which should show as blank. For reference: * https://support.atlassian.com/cloud-automation/docs/find-the-smart-value-for-a-field/
-
You should be able to do that with Automation for Jira. You could try something like: * Trigger: scheduled * Action: Lookup Issues based on your JQL * Action: Create issue. You can use markdown to get the table format to iterate on the results. Example: {{#lookupIssues}} | {{key}} | {{summary}} | {{/}} There are…

Yes, by using an app. There is no custom field table out-of-the-box. In this case, I wouldn't bother to try figuring out a way around this either. Have a look at https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1217571/table-grid-next-generation?tab=overview&hosting=cloud

@Neeraj Kothari, have a look at the links below. The importing process should be the same. I'd give it a try first. Alternatively, you can explore marketplace apps to help you with that. https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/export-over-1000-results-to-excel-from-jira-cloud-779160833.html…
-
@Ankit Jaiswal, you don't have access to the database in Cloud. What are you trying to achieve? Unless you're developing an app; otherwise, you should pursue alternate ways to store the data you want. You could use a custom field to store data, for example.

Welcome to the Atlassian Community. Try this: assignee was in membersOf("GroupName") after startOfDay() and assignee changed after startOfDay()
-
Welcome to the Atlassian Community. The short answer, you need an app to achieve that and Automation for Jira does it quite nicely. Which apps do you currently have installed? Also, what's the trigger to copy the description over?
-
Welcome to Atlassian Community. Have a look at using an exporter from the Atlassian Marketplace. Some will provide a scheduler that might help you achieve what you're looking for. I'd also look at The add-in you’ve been waiting for: Jira Cloud for Excel. Using Automation for Jira, you can look at sending a web request, but…

Hi @Erik Eduardo, welcome to the Atlassian Community. I haven't attempted it myself, but you would need to export your MS project as CSV or JSON and do the importing in Jira. You might well explore Marketplace apps and connectors that could help you with that. I'm interested in knowing what others have experienced with…

Hi @Stephen Wilson, welcome to the Atlassian Community. I've been using the code snippet, and it works fine for me. It gets a bit messy if it's a large snippet, but I'd say it probably shouldn't be there if it's a large one.
-
No, custom CSS is not supported in Cloud.
-
I don't believe you can do that out of the box. JSM doesn't offer this level of flexibility. Have you tried moving your fields around to reorganize them? You can also look at Marketplace apps to provide additional features, including the ability to redesign your portal.
-
Correct. Unfortunately, not possible on Cloud. For reference, there is a feature request to reset the issue counter: * https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-34286 You can vote if you'd be interested in that, and also add yourself as a watcher if you'd like to receive notifications via email on updates.

I agree. Definitely, less drastic than a new site if that's an option—which opens up to explore moving issues between projects, deleting the original project to reuse the key, etc.
