So is there no way to unlock a locked custom field in cloud?
-
Hi everyone, I'm with ProForma and I wanted to let you know that we've added some scripts to our documentation for dumping data from multiple ProForma fields into the Jira description field. You can find the Cloud script here and the Server script here.

I really struggle to see them too.

Actually, Ajay, you just alerted me to the problem. I was thinking Start date was a system field. I'll do it now with the custom field ID. Thanks!

Hi Andy and Ajay, Thanks for your suggestions. I tried both options and the both throw an error with AfJ. (It's a service project so there's no sprint.) Thanks, Jenny

Hi @Sam Desai I with ProForma and we have a couple of onboarding use case examples in our documentation that you might want to take a look at. One of them assumes that HR, IT and Facilities are working together in a shared project, and another has the three teams working in separate projects with the initial issue cloned…

Thanks, Gustavo.

You might also try using an add-on, such as ProForma, that allows you to have conditional logic on your portal forms. You can include a opt-in question and then only show the email field if that opt-in is selected.

Thanks, Robert.

Thanks. Would be a great app for someone to build.

Thanks. I was hoping there was a tool for grabbing the links from all pages in the space, but I'll go through page by page.

Thanks!

Hi Izabella, Sorry for the delayed response. We have an example in our documentation of how to do this with ScriptRunner. Hope this helps. Jenny

Hi Chris, We had an incident on Jan 30/31st. You can find the details on our status page. If you are still experiencing problems, please notify our support desk. Thanks, Jenny

Thanks for chiming in, Alex. Excellent points.

Hi Jack, Thanks for the reminder about the JSD widget. The above question came from a customer who uses ProForma to create forms on the JSD customer portal. ProForma lets teams collect all of the process-specific information they need without requiring custom fields or complex configurations (refer to this article for more…

If you’re using ProForma for your portal form, you have the option of setting the request form to "Internal" once it has been received. This means that the customer will not be able to see the request form they submitted, but they will still see the ticket number, name and current status. To make the form internal, go to…

Hi, Brant, Our organization recently published a series of blog posts on Battling Custom Field Bloat (If you are going to Atlassian Summit next month, we'll be giving this info away as a book and making an eBook of it available on our website.) Note that one of the articles discusses how you can use ProForma - a product I…

You do not lose any forms or data with conversion from Lite. All features remain the same with the exception of the form builder which with the paid version allows you to create as many forms as you like. All you need to do is install ProForma and uninstall ProForma Lite. Form data is stored as on the entity properties of…

Yes, ProForma is compatible with the help center. If your help center includes multiple service desks, then this is a great way for teams to get the information they need.

The ProForma app, available for Server & Cloud, lets you build forms that can deployed on the portal. You can use conditional logic in your forms. (Full disclosure- I am with ThinkTilt, makers of ProForma.)

Hi @Kudzi This article might help http://blog.thinktilt.com/five-options-for-creating-jira-issues-from-web-form-builders. (Note that I am with ThinkTilt- makers of one of the options mentioned. Cheers, Jenny

You might want to consider using a form instead. It saves you the admin of creating multiple custom fields. ProForma lets you create dropdowns with an "other" option. You can also link the form field through to a Jira field for easy querying/reporting.
