@Tim Valbert if you want to create a standalone timeline in Confluence, try the roadmap planner macro. Timeline likely does require Jira Premium as it now wants to have you link a Plan to the macro. I hope that helps clarify it a bit more and gets you what you were looking for.

@Adriana there is currently an active incident that Atlassian is working on. They are are having issues linking Confluence Spaces to Jira projects. Follow the progress here: View full incident details

@Mora Ramos specifically ask them about the answer to this question posted by @Sagar Mahajan Why do Jira software users get create space permissions in Confluence? If you're using Cloud you have the correct permissions set in Jira. The default is you should be able to create a space in Confluence.
-
@Benoit Criel if you have Jira premium then you have the planning tool available to you to use at the top of your project screen.
-
Yes, your site admin will have to help you with it. If it isn't hosted internally on a server you would need the site admin as well to work with the hosting company. Good luck.
-
@Fazal Shaik that is a good start. You can tell which Jira you have by the URL. If you are using the Cloud environment it will be https://<your-company>.atlassian.net. If you are using the original site based Jira It will be different depending on how it is hosted. Once that has been determined it would be a matter of…
-
@Fazal Shaik is it possible you don't the correct permissions in Jira? You need access to at least one project with browse and create permissions.
-
The @mention only assigns an Action Item in Confluence. You can create an assigned Jira task by highlighting the text of the Action Item and selecting create task vs. comment.
-
You will have to check the details section in project settings for the project you are creating the task in to see what the default value is for new tasks, otherwise you will need to specify ythe assignee in the automation.

OK. I didn't know they wouldn't respond to free accounts. Are you the only person trying to use this? If so, then the other account is also one you created, otherwise you have someone else there that created a subscription who would be the admin. and they should be able to add you as a user with permissions to work within…

A great example is the Retrospective if you are using Scrum. You can create the retrospective in Confluence directly from Jira. This gives you an agenda for the retrospective meeting with the team using the data from the sprint. Don't think of it as a duplicate since it is documenting the sprint that just ended and any…

@NeilM the quick answer is Jira is like Trello and Confluence is OneNote. Jira is used for tasking work and Confluence is a documentation repository. They are very tightly coupled. I have not tried using OneNote alongside Trello to see how well you can integrate them.
-
@Calamity can you explain how you tried adding Jira? It sounds like your account may have more than one log-in. I do believe you can still have a free standard account but not a premium one. I would suggest you try coantacting support here: Atlassian Support

@Jimmy Seddon is there still a SWAG store to buy items from. I really liked the pen and notebook I received for becoming a community leader and would like to get another one of each.
-
@mohammad_moattar LOL! I obviously didn't pick up on that. I have tried to implement Atlas for myself just to see if it would be good for reporting. That said, it's a bit confusing to deal with but one option would be to not fill in the Epic in the creation pop-up. Once the project is created you can link an Initiative to…
-
@Derek Truesdale I'm not sure what your goal is but a simpler approach could be to have a Title Page for a given weekly meeting that has the child list macro. The child pages are each weekly meeting with the date so you can have say the most recent 5 meetings in the child page macro to be able to quickly find a previous…
-
@mohammad_moattar you can add multiple Epics to a project. It just depends on where they live. If they are all in the same project you should be good. If there are Epics in that project that you don't want to include or if they exist in multiple projects you most likely would want to use filters for your data source. Go to…

@Nic Brough -Adaptavist- thanks. This would have been pre JPD. I'll have to chalk that up to a bad memory or something that was an add-on that we no longer have.
-
@Gladwin James the project ID is a reference number to a project in your system that isn't visible to the user. The Project key is the visible reference to that same project. Since you're just getting started the Project key is the most useful since it is part of every issue key in that project. See this article for more…

@Kristoffer Höeg That's OK. Please close this out by hitting the Accept answer button. I'm beginning to suspect you might also be using Data Center vs. Cloud. See this article here: How do I determine what type/version of Jira I am using? If you run into trouble with the search function, create a new question/request and…
-
@Kristoffer Höeg look for these two pieces of information:
-
@Kristoffer Höeg I just realized I forgot to ask you what cloud subscription you have and what type of project are you using?
-
@Kristoffer Höeg both of your requests just happen to go against the norm. Why do you want to show the Epics on the board if they don't have child issues to work on? The board should be for active work whether you are using Kanban or Scrum(Sprints). The answer to the first part of your request is that Epics w/o issues…

@Nic Brough (Adaptavist) I thought the cloud environment had a built in Requirements Management feature. Or it might have been a software test feature that used requirements. Am I not remembering this correctly? Was it always an Add-on? I only remember this because I still have issue types labeled as a type of requirement…

@Nikki Dean I've been on vacation and didn't see your post until now. This is going to get very complicated very quickly. My suspicion is that your permissions for all of your projects and your Confluence spaces are very open so to speak. Do you have a site/org admin? I think you'll need to talk to that person(s) to have…
-
@Nikki Dean I am guessing that the way you granted access to Jira for those people outside of your organization is the reason they can gain access to the Jira issues you do not want them to see. It would be helpful to have you explain how you granted the Confluence and Jira permissons to analyze the issue.

So I thought this was a new enhancement especially with the screenshot of the Jira issue with the smart Link to google drive Survey responses example. Lo and behold as usual, I try that with a SharePoint URL and no Smart Link. Am I missing something in the field setup?
-
I still don't have this feature yet.
-
Woot! Sign me up. I've wanted to see this in software projects ever since they became available in the new business project format.

@Dirk Ronsmans To update this thread you can set a default priority as well as create separate priority schemes by project in the Cloud now.
