If that switch is on they should have access to Confluence automatically as a personal space. After that you have to go into to Confluence to add them to specific spaces.
-
Use the show details link to get to this page to verify the user has Confluence access. I thought I circled the button at the bottom of the page to indicate what switch to turn on.
-
Got it. If you aren't the Org and or Site admin you'll need to request that person be given Confluence access first. Do you have access to this screen? Gear logo, User Management.
-
@csuhn coloradostate I'm not certain from your post what the actual problem is. Are you tryng to grant access globally from the user management tool or are you trying to give access to a specific space?
-
Once again I am baffled at how Atlassian rolls out these features with no explanations of what you need to do. You are given no explanation on how the widgets work or how to modify them to show what you want. @Irene would you care to explain why my Summary view is blank and how does issue hierarchy affects the Epic Issue…
-
@Wes Farnsworth I'm wondering about your "complete ADMIN control" permission. Please see this article to help you determine what Admin type you are. I'm beginning to think you only have admin rights for Confluence and not your cloud site. Give users admin permissions
-
@Wes Farnsworth I have a free account and the confluence-guests-stratodanno group is available to me. I've added a coworker in as a guest user just in Confluence. I will experiment a bit with it to see if I can replicate your issue.
-
@Wes Farnsworth Welcome to the Atlassian way of life. My first suggestion is to not remove users who are no longer there right away. You should just make them inactive. You'll find it is easier to serach for stuff w/o having to resort to looking up there id #s. Now to the licensing issue. You can have an unlimited number…

@Prabhu Palanisamy _Onward_ I'm wondering if a link has been broken with regards to your placeholders being blank. I'm also wondering about the link <For production: https://api.paylocity.com/> not working as well. I get a 403 - Forbidden: Access is denied. You do not have permission to view this directory or page using…

The quickest way is to use one of the Jira issues macros and then use this JQL search: <issue in portfolioChildIssuesOf("<your Epic>") ORDER BY created DESC> If you want to include the Epic itself then you will have to add that to the search. <issue in portfolioChildIssuesOf("<your Epic>") OR key = <your Epic> ORDER BY…

Ok, I don't get it. I see all of the above comments regarding how wonderful this feature is and so far it isn't living up to my expectations. I tried creating a database using a JQL search, added a field to it hot OK and I have a blank database telling me to add issues. This is probably the third or fourth time I've tried…

Welcom @Erin Dillard . This community is very supportive so feel free to ask for help where needed. That said, I have an ask for Paylocity to prioritize a secure connector to the Atlassian tool set since we use Paylocity in our company and would like to be able to have the timekeeping component in Jira connect directly to…

@Philipp Sendek _catworkx_ I'm the admin here and up until now I haven't had to start implementing this type of restriction. It had nothing to do with the Hide when Empty feature as you can see in my screen shots. All of the fields were available to the view screen but they weren't being shown if they didn't have a value,…
-
@Philipp Sendek _catworkx_ STOP THE PRESSES! Latest news from the front. I was able to get all of the fields to show up in the View issue screen by providing values to all of the fields. I believe this is normal behavior with a View issue screen. If there isn't a value, don't display it. DOH!
-
@Philipp Sendek _catworkx_ I've added screenshots here to clarify. They are the same structure for editing as well. The first one is the layout for the View issue screen: This is the Configure issue layout screen: And lastly, the screen a person sees once the issue editing is limited by the status property. Notice that not…

@Marina I am able to duplicate your results by pasting the data into one cell as I described it earlier. See the screenshot below. I was wrong about re-sizing the Confluence table ahead of time. The bottom table was only three columns and 3 rows to start with.
-
@Marina I'm wondering if you should use the macro for displaying the Excel table. If you are trying to excerpt only a portion to display, can you describe the steps you are taking in more detail. I'm trying to see if I can recreate your issue on my end.
-
@Marina the behavior you see is normal in this world. I've found that w/o an add on you have to build the table first with the correct number of columns and rows to fill with the data. Then select all of them before you paste.
-
@Daniel Lee , @Tomislav Tobijas beat me to this one. I can confirm that you can do this in Draw.io. I have not tried Gliffy. I would also say to experiment with the built in whiteboard. I know it can be done using Miro so I would hope our Atlassian overlords 🦹 have incorporated something similar.
-
@Danny I don't have any issues with it and I just finished updating that exact thing. Can you share a screenshot of what you are seeing?
-
@Richard Cho that is interesting. I haven't worked with the database tool yet and I am surprised to find out it is capable of returning more issues than a JQL search. Do you have any insights as to why other than the somewhat typical disjointed Atlassian way of doing things?
-
Two separate filters based on dates perhaps? I'm not sure why you would want to display that many issues on one page. It will be a short amount of time before you hit 2000 issues. Without knowing how you are working in your Jira instance, I would at least break up your searches by project perhaps or maybe components or…
-
@Jason Dyke unfortunately you are running up against a limit with the tool. The maximum number of results you can get is 1000.
-
I'm not a paid shill but this is one of the few add-on apps I use for both Confluence and Jira. Microsoft SharePoint OneDrive Excel Connector for Confluence
-
@Danielle Bonneau do you have access to the Jira Service Management tool? I think that might be a better way to do that type of interaction. You would have to do the research to see if it is available for you to use, possibly even for free depending on the size of your organization.
-
I'm not sure what you mean by synchronized but I'll presume you are the owner of both. Projects in Atlas are your projects. Listing an Epic from Jira only tells the people you share the updates with where the work is being done. The Epic itself doesn't update the Atlas project. That said, you might want to follow this post…
-
How many data sources are you using? There is a not so exact number of sources you can use before it gets wonky. If I can find the thread, I'll link it in this one.
-
@Maria Melacarne that is correct, I am referring to the Plans menu at the top of the screen right next to the Create button. That said, you should have the timeline feature available to you in the standard plan, You said you are working within One Project (You can only have 1 project in a timeline view) so you would be…
-
@Maria Melacarne you would need to further refine your request. You didn't mention if this is for one project or many and if there is more than one specific user involved. Alternatively, if JQL filtering is still a challenge, you can create a Plan using a project(s) as your source data to capture everything. There is a…

I do like this feature except for one thing. The issue links do not get repopulated from a Business project. Is that expected behavior?
