@Oleksandr I believe Atlassian got rid of the extra step to getting an attachment on the page. I'm pretty certain the only way to add attachments now is to add the upload widget to the page and then add your attached file. I haven't found another way to do this since it was removed from the menu in your screenshot. I have…

@Trudy P Claspill Thank you for the clarification.

@Trudy P Claspill if there is a way to create an issue inside of Confluence as opposed to creating a Jira issue from a Confluence page I am unaware of it. @Norman Cates are you wanting to create an Action Item within Confluence? Your screenshot looks like you have a Create Issue shortcut button on a Confluence page which…

@Dave , I just saw your recent post regarding an update to this app. I will add it to my site and start evaluating it, and provide you with feedback. This is the first time I've stumbled onto the Labs area. I like the idea of devoted Atlassian team members creating useful add-ons.
-
It has been a long day. I have solved the problem myself. Do not assume you can see all of your form fields just because you are the admin and have permission to create them, Two permissions are crucial, the Create and Add Attachments are necessary in this case. 🙄
-
LOL! I looked at the new navigation before the forced update and knew that I would have the same sort of trouble when it became a reality and guess what, I had the same problem. 🤣

I know in real life Keanu is a stand up person, but why do I get a weird John Wick vibe from that picture along with the two knuckleheads waving goodbye that AI is coming for our jobs. Oh wait, did I actually write AI on here? No, I meant AI is our friend. Yes, that's it, friend. Who is here to help us. Good boy Rover, er…

@Jamie Edmondson don't panic just yet. There doesn't appear to an outage at this time. Is there something you did just before things went off the rails?
-
@Bill Sheboy no apologies are necessary. You've been very helpful in improving my understanding of this. #1. is what I was after and your code worked as expected. I have no idea why I didn't come across a code example like your fix. My original idea was to start with a group of users pre-populated and then remove them as…
-
@Bill Sheboy last update for now. For context, here is what I have for now. I've tested the new rule and I now get useful error messaging, although it is not entirely accurate. I did get something similar when I was trying to remove users in an earlier iteration. I was informed that Remove wasn't available for this type of…
-
@Bill Sheboy Lots of good info to work through, including the Cloud updates link. I ended up deleting the original rule I started with and created a new one with just the create variable and a log action first, and I am now working on a single test and edit to work through your suggestions to fix the JSON part.
-
@Bill Sheboy thank you for the quick reply, but before I bore you with the rest of the rule 😜, it is just a series of 4 IF-Else checks to get the needed user id to add to the multi-user field. The portion of the rule in question is the screenshot of step where I am trying to get the rule to add the 2nd user. Since you…

@Aleksandr Duk I believe it is a new feature so to speak. It used to be saved as a draft if I remember correctly. Now, Atlassian does the work for you regardless of how you close the page. If you check the navigation bar, your page will show up with (Draft) in parentheses.
-
@Ana Evans , There are 2 ways to get the widget. Use the slash, then start typing Date, and you should see the widget in the pop-up. You should be able to see this when you create a new page. (Note: Click on the images to expand for better viewing. 😜 You might have to scroll to find it, depending on how far you get typing…

@Sharee Khaldi I think what you've described falls under the heading of "and other related duties". All joking aside, I think this is more common than you realize. I have built mini-ERP systems to support manufacturing and purchasing operations out of need. I find it to be a challenge to learn how to do this without buying…
-
@Dave Gunn I know this is an old issue but what @John Garcia failed to mention it is the Global Browse Users permission that you grant at a Group level.
-
@David Phelps editing the description field is set by the permissions for the project. Bulk editing a large number of issues is a whole different problem usually done by admins.
-
@Ethan in addition to the suggestions from @Bill Sheboy, verify if the issue in that Epic is captured in the filter for that board.

You may have just run afoul of the new editor features that were recently released. See this article. New collaboration features in Confluence Cloud! Your editor toolbar at your finger tips You now have the option to pin or unpin the editor toolbar. This allows everyone to choose their preferred look and feel, minimizing…

@Walter Buggenhout my brain was fried from trying to make some changes to an existing project without tearing up too much of it. I actually tried using the create permission property from another answer you had posted to someone regarding this same type of want. Can the workflow properties be limited to an issue type?…
-
@Kelly Arrey indeed, one of the many things with this tool that can be quite annoying. 🙄
-
@Kelly Arrey, thank you for the reply, but unfortunately, that won't work for what I was trying to do. The project's create permission has to be open for the workflow associated with one of the issue types. I'm trying to enforce the creation of the second issue type to a set of users by project role. I'm trying to keep…
-
@Walter Buggenhout I thought I understodd your recomended approach but I'm either implementing it wrong or don't understand how or where to use the property. I created two separate workflows and tried using this property on the first transition from create to the first Status to limit who could create the issue to a role.…

@John Funk yes, the direct link had the filter id for the specific one I was trying to share. That passed back the access denied message. At that point I had the user select Filters > View all filters drop-down which gave the limited list of filters. I don't remember what the entire URL was at that point but I had the user…
-
Hi @John Funk as I just mentioned in my reply to Jeffrey, I did log in as the user in incognito mode in Firefox and saw the correct list. I stumbled onto the log-in as being the issue when I got the same view in Chrome and Edge as what the user shared with me. I got suspicious of browser settings and noticed the log in…
-
@Jeffrey Wolfe you are correct in the assumption of stale data with the user who brought this to my attention. Weirdly I got the exact same "stale data" view by copying the same URL into both Edge and Chrome and I don't use either browser routinely so I can't say for sure that is the problem. I'm also not sure just how old…

@csuhn coloradostate I just realized I never sent my last post. This could be your issue. "The only thing I can think of, she changed her last name. We I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not." You need to verify if she has multiple accounts. That could definitely cause problems. Fnd the one that allows her…
-
@Anne-Laure Meens the standard Confluence subscription has automation available.
-
@csuhn coloradostate at this point I am not sure what is missing. Please take some screenshots of what you are doing and describe the steps you take. Your reply: "I went to confluence, teams, then manage access, then I am unsure what to do from there." indicates you weren't able to accomplish all of the steps I tried to…

OK, at least she is in. Does she have a personal space and can she edit that? If so, then it is a matter of adding her to individual spaces. Navigate to the space, select space settings and then pick Users for an individual. Then you can add her to all the spaces or just to the one you want via the Edit button. Once you…
