@[deleted], Is this an issue specifically in one space or environment wide? What happens if you create a new meeting note in that space and attempt the same thing?
-
Hi @Emily Errico, In a different world, those would reflect a JIRA task with 3 sub tasks :) For Confluence, you might want to adjust the primary task's wording. Example: 'at Site office manager to review category tasks'. * Inserting a category word would define the task in a list of common tasks. If I think up something…

The spinning wheel tends to happen a lot when using IE11. Does this happen in Chrome?
-
If the page is now published, change the page restriction so only you can view: Unrestrict when ready.
-
.png is fine.
-
Additional thought, what is your image extension? Your image file type might not be supported as well causing a "broken image" icon.
-
When uploading from your desktop, it will store on the image on the server - not reference a link back to your desktop. It sounds like the image (attachment) itself was removed from your page. Try this: * Insert a new image onto the page by using the steps you described above. * Publish the page. * Click the attachments…
-
If the images were pasted/added to your page, do they return if you go back to a previous page version? If the images are coming from a hard coded URL, sounds like that directory/folder/file got moved, renamed, or deleted.

As long as your home page is not "view only" and the Page - Add is checked, then should work:
-
@Michelle To be able to edit a page, the users will need "page - add - checked" in space permissions. If that is not checked, they can only view the page regardless of the page restrictions.
-
Hi @Michelle, Do follow @Mikael Sandberg's answer and review the space permissions as well since they will apply. Couple items to note: * If you give someone view only access to a parent page, they will be able to view [and edit if they have "add page" in space permissions] the children pages. * If you want a "read only"…

Hi @Sta, Since the requirement is not to modify templates/blueprints, I suggest you incorporate reviewing the Task Report macro on the Meeting Notes parent page during each meeting. You would then reassign any task by clicking on the task's "Task appears on" page and update the assignee in the source. The Task Report macro…

Hey Atlassian Team Members, how about you show us some of your secret / non-published templates!
-
Hi @Jessica Lynn, Since we do not use JIRA Software yet for project management, we have developed project based global templates. These are not super fancy, but they supply us the information needed to do our job efficiently.
-
@Bill H, Did any of these suggestions help? A lot of us probably learned just by playing in our UAT/DEV environments.
-
Hi @Joseph Esposito, We have also experienced issues when trying to edit/go into editing mode for a page with a large amount of content. Sometimes there is a delay - sometimes we can't get in at all. This issue is somewhat noted in the following bug: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFSERVER-26241 If you are working…

Restarting the primary confluence service brought the levels back to normal.
-
@Patrick Schneider Per documentation, when pages are restored from trash, they are placed at the root level. This means you will need to recreate the structure. Another option is to locate a backup of that space, restore in lower environment, export the space, then import the space into PROD. Instead of importing, you…

@Bill H, Check out this article about resources people use to learn Atlassian products. You might find some of the content beneficial for your needs. Regards.

Mirroring @Prashant Mali's response. Another option you can try is the free banner add-on on the Atlassian Marketplace. * With Announcement Banner for Confluence you can set a system-wide message that will display at the top of all Confluence pages.

Great. Please mark this as answered if you are satisfied with the solution. Best of luck on your Confluence journey!

Cores are stressed as well:
-
No problem; learning Confluence just takes time :) Go to your space, bottom left click space tools, then permissions. Verify the desired people or groups have "Page = Add" permissions. Page = Add also allows editing of pages. Until this ability is granted, they will only be able to view your content. More information on…

The view only will keep at the parent page. If you want to continue "view only" in the children pages, you would have to add editing restrictions to each child. I do hope for a new restrictions option in the future where it is a true "read only" which will carry down though the children pages.
-
Hi @[deleted], As long as users can view the parent page and they have the "page = add" space permissions, they should be able to edit the children pages while inheriting restrictions.
-
Hey Joey, Please supply a bit more information. * What kind of file? * File size? * Confluence Cloud or Server? I have had issues in the past where large files will not generate a preview. Worst case, users can still download the file and open using the application.
-
Hi @vinay B, In Confluence 6.6.1, the Title column will always display first. Based on testing, placing Title (B) in a different column order still won't work. Even if we could hide the first Title (A) column via HTML, the Title (B) column won't pull in results.
-
@Karen Goeller, Based on this previous community article, enabling HTML is not available on Cloud.
-
* Here is more information about Page Restrictions from Atlassian.
-
@Aoibhe Charlott Kennedy It sounds like you do not have "Restrictions" access in the target space. If you are not the space admin, reach out to that person and have them give you "restrictions" access in space tools / permissions.
