Good luck with your hunt for local help. There is an NZ-wide Slack group you can join here.

Thanks Andy. I can access your article now. :)

I'd like to read your article but you have hidden it in the area only available to Community Leaders.

Wow @Jenine Wech, SPC PMP - what a well thought out and detailed comment. You raised some interesting questions.

A few bits of the top of my head: * Documentation available through web login even from home (depending on site settings) * Document collaboration is easy though comments, in-line comments, and editing by multiple people. * Easy configuration to limit editing and/or view rights. * Ability to link pages from and to Jira…

Wow - I am humbled by your swag hunting efforts!

What a pretty contract between the red and green.
-
Yes it is - as are all of the Atlassian Certification exams. This means we get our results almost instantly.
-
This sounds very odd. Contact Atlassian Support directly for help here.

These products used to be visibly similar however the code bases are separate now. While Jira Cloud as a lot in common with Jira Server and Data Centre, there are also features and functionality that is designed to meet the needs to different markets (SaaS vs on-premise).
-
There was a recent webinar to learn about the latest updates to Server + Data Center Products you can access called Scaling your teams, applications, and infrastructure. There are also some discussions on Sneak peek: Improvements coming to Server and Data Center.
-
The fiction format also makes learning the concepts really accessible. Even quality text books can be dry to read.

The Phoenix Project is a novel that follows someone as they learn the Three Ways as described in The DevOps Handbook by looking at how a manufacturing plant works and applying it to IT. There are a lot of parallels between engineering, manufacturing, and supporting physical widgets and software code.
-
There is no guarantee any feature made available for Cloud will make its way to the Server version of the same product. This is especially true of anything relating to the Jira Next-Gen area because this is a completely different code base than classic Jira. In some instances even Data Centre features will not be made…

Thanks for sharing - there are some great knowledge gems there and a few moments where I nodded along in "been there" fashion.

Some workplaces are keeping salaries the same while reducing in-office hours by 20%!

I'll check out the video when I am at work next week.

*shock* I thought it was just Monique's special badge!

Hi Soumya, You will need to contact an Atlassian Solution Partner that works in your area. You can search for a solution partner here.

We had some success getting people to ask a question and immediately reply to their own question when they found the answer to a scenario they expected to face again. This helped get the knowledge base growing. We also prompted people during meetings with "have you created a Confluence question (and answer)?" when they…

Recapping an AMA like this is helpful. This is an easy-to-ready summary and clearly links back to the original thread so there is no feeling that you are distracting from the raw feedback and questions. I've added an ama-recap label so I (and others) can find this easier in future.

I find it to be an antidote to anxiety. I never need to worry about 'what ifs' before my trip as I just note them down. There are a bunch of archived tickets for things like notifying my credit card company (so they don't think my cards been misused) and notifying the government Safe Travel website etc. The activity ideas…

Trello of course! I searched the public boards for something similar then copied that as the starting point for my trip planning. * I love being able to add ideas while I am on-the-go from my mobile, work computer, home computer... * I add copies of important information like insurance and flight details so these can be…

The key thing I learnt about the prep courses is that they are not "exam preparation" but "exam study plan preparation" courses. They are a great resource and I feel like they get a bad rap due to this misconception/miscommunication.

I'm not sure when the ability to re-size photos with the drag-able corners arrived - but thanks for that improvement.

Scavenger hunts are good to get people exploring the online community and could definitely be a repeated event with different Community Leaders deciding on the list of what needs to be hunted for. I like it!
-
Thank you for sharing your experience. Congratulations.

I learnt a long time ago that Atlassian's help documentation is well indexed by Google so it is often quicker going to Google. typing "Atlassian" then your search term for help. I have not tried to use the in product help for over 8 years.
-
That is a big question. Looking back 10 years you can see a lot of change - not all of it predictable. For a shorter horizon check out this article - Sneak peek: Improvements coming to Server and Data Center posted on 7 May.

Thanks to the magic fairy that sent me a webinar invitation for the AU session of "New ways of working with ITIL 4 and Atlassian".
