Hi @zhoufangdong I hope you are well. Are you getting any of the errors described in Server app licensing validation rules when applying the license to the App? What if you generate a new trial license in https://my.atlassian.com , do you get the same error? Kind regards, Thiago Masutti

Hi @Tran Van Huu I hope you are well. For that purpose, you need to work with your Confluence administrator to upload a supported font to Confluence. The procedure is explained in Create a PDF in Another Language . Kind regards, Thiago Masutti

Hi @Bartt Richards Welcome to the Atlassian Community. Confluence doesn't have a feature to store your last search, nor to save it as a filter (as Jira). What you can do is to save the URL after you perform a specific search, since the search syntax is stored there. I hope that helps. Kind regards, Thiago Masutti

Hi @Robert Horan I really don't know if that's going to be shipped on May. The best option is to ask on the original community post. Kind regards, Thiago Masutti

Hi @[deleted] I hope you are well. With the out-of-the-box feature to copy a page you can select the target Space and the target parent page. I've tested it locally on 7.4.8 and it is working as expected. You mentioned a recent upgrade to 7.4.8 and that you have some Marketplace Apps installed. Have you updated the Copy…

Hi @JD Welcome to the Atlassian Community. If you are trying to add custom HTML to a Confluence page, you can use the HTML Macro. This macro comes disabled by default so you need to work with the Confluence administrator to enable it. Then you can insert a code similar to the below to get a text from an user. The text is…

Hi there. What is the version of Jira you have? DVCS received a major update on Jira 8.14, which includes the connector to GitLab. Take a look at https://confluence.atlassian.com/jiracore/integrating-jira-with-gitlab-1019398724.html for more information on that. Edited: Just noticed you are using the Cloud deployment.…

Hi Jovan.Quick comment about it, having an administrator account doesn't mean you have Add pages permission to a Space. Do you have a personal space with that account? If you do, try creating a page on that Space with the guidance from the KB I suggested. Kind regards Thiago
-
Hi @jovan savin I hope you are well. That could happen if your current user doesn't have the Add pages permission on any space. If that's not the case, check this KB article. I hope that helps. Kind regards, Thiago Masutti

Hi @Srikanth Pinninti While more recent versions of the Companion App should work with older versions of Confluence, there are features that would only be available if you upgrade your Confluence version. Take a look at CONFSERVER-56544 for an example. You may follow the Companion App release notes for more information on…

Hi @Dmitriy I hope you are well. This was requested as a feature for Confluence, reported in CONFSERVER-32134 , but it was closed as won't fix. This community post has some workarounds and discussion about that topic, in case you want to dig for more information on it. Wishing you a great weekend. Kind regards, Thiago…

Hi @Srikanth Pinninti I hope you are well. Confluence 7.13 is targeted as the next Long Term Support release, as highlighted in this community post. While there's no fixed date on this release (it is expected to be shipped til June), you may want to check the milestone versions in Preparing for Confluence 7.13 so you can…

Hi @apollopt The recovery_admin account is there to help you getting a temporary door to Confluence to restore administrative access with your regular account -- or by creating a new administrator account. Regarding access to restricted pages, only users of the confluence-administrators group have access to restricted…

Hey @Ollie Guan @Dominic Lagger The support team opened the bug and made some internal comments. Although Confluence is operating as designed, this really seem to be a bug and the product team should be able to give us better details. I've made some internal comments there to the product team. Let's watch the bug and see…

I see @Dominic Lagger If editing a bundled plugin is an option to you, which would also require you to make modifications on every upgrade, then you can change the original plugin and the related file in the translation plugins for target languages. * confluence-page-restrictions-dialog-<version>.jar*…

Hi Dominic. The following JavaScript might help to get you started with the goal, which you can append to the Custom HTML admin section. <script type="text/javascript"> $( document ).ajaxSuccess(function( event, request, settings ) { if (settings.url.indexOf("getcontentpermissions.action") >= 0 &&…

Hi @Syed Farhan Welcome to the Atlassian Community. Access to the RPC API is disabled by default. Could you please check if it is enabled in your test instance as described in Enabling the Remote API ? Kind regards, Thiago Masutti

Hi @Ollie Guan and @Dominic Lagger This is the actual behavior of Confluence. When an attachment is first previewed, this preview file is cached in the file system as described in this KB. When an attachment is deleted, and sent to the trash, the preview file isn't removed. Therefore, a user that had the URL to that…

Hi Roger. Could you please share the full output of the following commands? ls -la /opt/atlassian/confluence/work/catalina.pid cat /opt/atlassian/confluence/work/catalina.pid ps -ef | grep -i java It might be a problem with a mismatch of the OS user running the process, owning the pid file and running the command. Kind…

Hi David. You might be looking for a Classroom license. As explained in https://www.atlassian.com/solutions/survey/classroom-license-request this license is free if you are running the Data Center deployment. If you would like to use it on the Atlassian Cloud, then you can get a 75% discount. That page I shared would be…

That's great, @Daniel That issue is related to the JIT user provisioning feature. What if you create the same user in the Confluence internal directory, disable JIT provisioning and try the authentication? Note that you are using OIDC sub as the username mapping, so that should be the username in Confluence as well. With…

Just added a comment on the other thread and it should fix this problem as well

Hi @Daniel I was checking some AWS Cognito documentation and found what could be the problem. On Confluence OIDC configuration, the Issuer URL for the AWS Cognito IdP should be as follows: https://cognito-idp.<your aws region>.amazonaws.com/<your pool id> In my test case it would be something like this:…
-
Thanks @Daniel On Username mapping you need to use ${sub} instead of just sub. See if that works. Have you manually added any information on the Additional settings section? Have you faced any error when using the automatic configuration? If so, check if you have access to to your Amazon Cognito tenant from the Confluence…
-
Can you paste a screenshot of the OIDC configuration in Confluence? You may redact some information if needed.

Hi @Cognitive Systems Administration team. While the entire error string wasn't shared on the post, I believe you are facing problems when using the ulimit command when starting Jira. This might happen on some Linux distributions and you may need additional steps to properly set the limits to the user running the…

Hi @Ryan Ballas I hope you are safe and well. Confluence doesn't have such a feature out-of-the-box. However, Confluence gives us many ways to customize appearance on pages. If your Confluence administrator enabled the HTML macro, you may be able to implement something on JavaScript to sort the Panel macros in your page.…

Hi @cheryl.twomey Welcome to the Atlassian Community. A child page inherits view restrictions from parent pages as detailed in Page Restrictions documentation. However, edit restrictions are not inherited as described in CONFSERVER-5095. The Page Information is a good place to check if restrictions are inherited from…

Hi @Daniel Welcome to the Atlassian Community. If you check the application logs you may have an error related to this issue, together with a stack trace. Could you please paste that here? Kind regards, Thiago Masutti

Hi @Vita Gilin I hope you are well. The ancestor directive won't work when filtering for attachments. You can use the container filter option, but that requires you to list all the target pages that may contain the attachment. Also, other filters, such as label, will apply to the attachment and not to the page. Let me know…
