How brilliantly simple :)

Agreed: some AttachmentService API documentation would be helpful

It's like I have ESPN or something. My <insert safe for work body parts> can always tell when it's going to rain. Well… they can tell when it's raining. Mean Girls - Karen Is Kinda Psychic

And neither the deprecated nor the new class is recognized by ScriptRunner.
-
Although I had to dig deep for this one, I think this is the new class: com.atlassian.confluence.webdriver.pageobjects.page.user.EditUserEditorSettingsPage It is not deprecated and neither is its disableAutoComplete() method, but it also has not apparent way to associate the method with a specific user. And it's not…
-
Hi @Oday Rafeh , I understand how to use EditUserEditorSettingsPage, which is deprecated. What I was asking was how to use the replacement code, which is here: com.atlassian.confluence.webdriver.pageobjects.

Hi @Pankaj Jangid , I'm not sure how hiding the inline comments section on one page will fit my requirements, including how it would hide for a specific group. * Must be global, not by space or page I'm also running Confluence Data Center 8.0.2, not Cloud. DC doesn't have ... Edit -> Edit in HTML. I know I could put it in…
-
Hi @Pankaj Jangid , Thank you for replying. I already have the main comments hidden though as I stated: * ScriptRunner Fragment to Hide Elements - partially works * Hid all elements with "Like" or "Comment" in the name * This only worked on the: * bottom of page comments * pop-up for inline commenting when highlighting…

ac:name="html" That means it's an HTML macro with this in the body: <style>button[data-key*=inline-comment] { display:none !important;}</style>

It's your LDAP directory settings causing this. I don't know why it shows up as an Anonymous user doing it and not System, but that's what it does. Here's more info on the setting.

I totally agree you should not delete things with ScriptRunner that the UI doesn't let you. The problem is that the Java API allows you to delete the FieldLayoutSchemes (aka Field Configuration Schemes) even if they're in use. Who would want to do that? It breaks things. Most of the other objects I've been writing cleanup…
-
I had this same question because apparently, you can delete any field configuration scheme with ScriptRunner even the ones you can't in the UI. I think you'd use the FieldLayoutManager.getProjectsUsing(FieldLayoutScheme fieldLayoutScheme) method, and then get the ones without projects to determine which are unused. But I…

You can use ComponentAccessor, like this: import com.atlassian.jira.issue.fields.config.manager.PrioritySchemeManager PrioritySchemeManager prioritySchemeManager = ComponentAccessor.getComponent(PrioritySchemeManager)
-
Hi @Andrew C , please accept one of the answers since it sounds like your question is about as resolved as it's going to get. Thank you!

A feature request page for Confluence Server/Data Center. :D :D :D :D There are feature requests that have literally been sitting out there since 2011. I wouldn't bother. They'll most likely tell you to get a plugin. You can explore the Atlassian Marketplace for all sorts of additional functionality.

Again, it's a change of mindset and culture on how you'll organize your information. Each page has a parent page, so you can keep your pages under a parent page if you want. It doesn't really matter though since you can point to pages in your space in different ways and even in other spaces. You can also use the Include…

Confluence pages have collaborative editing, so multiple people can edit the same page. If you want it to look like a form, you could setup a table with what type of info you're gathering and have users fill it in. It doesn't have to get that fancy. You could also use a Team Calendar to track events.
-
* Run. Run fast away from Word. * You won't need to have hundreds of pages in a single document in Confluence. You should be splitting the content into separate pages so that it's more accessible. There are tons of built in macros to help with navigating the content on multiple pages or the same page. * If users still need…

The other answer provided is for Cloud, but similar principles. Also, users are only able to see pages to which they have permissions to view. They may see an empty tree, especially if you have settings like Show Expand/Collapse Links checked. Otherwise, users should not be able to see pages if those pages are restricted…
-
Also, do you have any plugins that affect users, permissions, and/or page restrictions?
-
Then that's your problem. It sounds like you're a Confluence administrator. Are you a member of the confluence-administrators group? If so, then you should be able to enter any user or group, and therefore, you've got a problem that's beyond me, since I'm assuming users are able to access Confluence and do everything else.…
-
I'm going to guess based on what you put that you're using the Jira macro, in which case, there's nothing you can do (that's built-in) to change what's being displayed.
-
Are you able to enter and find any names?
-
According to Why is there an Incorrect Package Declaration Message in the Script Editor?, there will still be a warning message but the package name will not be required. If you have more than one script with the same name under different folders/packages, that's where the package name is needed, otherwise, ScriptRunner…
-
Yeah, you'd have to complain to Atlassian about this.
-
You can pull the page version numbers with the Confluence REST API, if you're up for it, with something like this: http://example.com/confluence/rest/api/content?spaceKey=TST&expand=space,version Just swap out your space key for TST and, of course, the first part of the URI with your Confluence instance. You can even put…
-
If you're using git, then you're probably technical enough to create something using the Confluence REST API, if you're interested in doing that. But, yeah, there's nothing built-in that does that.
-
How are you "calling" the field in Confluence? Do you mean you're using the Jira macro? If so, you can't change the macro or use anything else built-in to Confluence to solve the problem. You'd need to do some coding if the macro is not giving you what you want. If you're "calling" the field some other way, please explain…
-
Are you talking about a plugin, a ScriptRunner script, or something else?
-
This may seem simple, but are you sure you're spelling the names of the users and/or groups correctly? Try entering 2 common letters in the search box to see if you can get any user names to appear. If you can, then you're likely misspelling the user/group names, or the user/group names don't exist. Ask users to log in to…
