  • Also a btw, running the bulk delete custom fields can cause severe performance issues as I discovered. Granted, we have a huge instance of Jira. I'm not sure if it'd do the same on a small instance.
  • No. Confluence adds the current user to page restrictions by default so that a page doesn't end up with no one being able to edit or view it. However, it really doesn't matter. If you're the one editing the page restrictions, you probably ought to have access to the page. You might be in a group, too. You'll still get…
  • Hi @박진수 , @G subramanyam is correct. If you enable anonymous access to your Confluence instance, then give Anonymous Access space permissions to View and to Comment, users should be able to add comments anonymously. However, you need to make sure you tell users not to log in to Confluence if they want their comments to be…
  • So, Adaptavist is now saying "Psych! Never mind." They're no longer requiring "package" and are going to remove or change the message. Why is there an Incorrect Package Declaration Message in the Script Editor?
  • This probably didn't exist at the time the question was asked, but now there is a Bulk delete custom fields Jira (Server/DC) REST API that'll do it.
  • I believe you'd do something like what's in that link, but you'd use the ArchivedIssueService instead of the one for projects to archive individual issues.
  • Yeah, I figured out that a custom field with a global context and a default value will give a default value to the field for every single project's issue. Again, I inherited this instance and am performing cleanup on it. It still does seem wrong that if a project is in no way associated with a field (like through a screen)…
  • The Custom Fields screen and a search on the field not is empty.
  • Hi @Dolores Rhyme , Those links are either broken or someone created them in order to prompt them to later create a page named the same as the link. See Undefined Page Links
  • You'd have to be a developer in order to pull that off. What you're asking for is not natively available. Depending on what you want to use it for, you could possibly use a Page Properties macro instead and have it hidden (or not). That wouldn't involve any development, but it'd make the value, like Document owner,…
  • I wonder if com.atlassian.confluence.api.model.content.Space is the class made available through the REST API. Not sure.
  • Much of SpaceManager has been deprecated including the ways to get a space object(s). Deprecated, but still available for use - until they get rid of them. From what I understand, the classes that end in "Internal" are for Atlassian's use. But if you were able to get it to work for you, then go for it!
  • You don't need a plugin to do this. There's a JavaScript that you can add to a bookmark in your browser that'll let you do it. It's fabulous. I use it almost every day. It works for any HTML table, including Confluence tables. I think the article for it is still at this link, but it's now blocked by the company I work for,…
  • I don't know about cloud, but you can create a user macro in Server/Data Center to pull that info. It might be possible in cloud. I'm pretty sure the code for that kind of macro is in the Community already.
  • The easiest way to do that is to add page restrictions so that not all users can view the page. If you want people to be able to view the pages but want to make it harder or have more control over user navigation, you could (at least in Server/Data Center) put them at the root level, or the same level as where the home…
  • That is odd. I would say that you should contact Atlassian for this issue, but it looks like you no longer have support. That makes me think you may have an old version. It's possible that this problem was fixed in a newer version, but I'm not sure what version you have. The only other advice I could offer is to make sure…
  • If the links are deleted, then they're not permanent. That having been said... Depending on how technical you are, you could use the Confluence REST API to create and update pages. It's possible that your sources also have REST APIs, but I don't know how many different sources you have or if this would be practical. With…
  • My mistake. Try the Contributors Summary macro or the Content by User macro, which appears to be going away soon, but looks like is replaced by doing a CQL query. Hopefully, one of these solutions will work for you.
  • Have you tried the Contributors macro?
  • Depending on the country you're in and/or the country from where the articles originate, this might not be legal due to copyright issues. I'd look into that first before putting a lot of effort into this. If you want to get the information from the same source, you could look into if that source has permanent links to…
  • Never mind. I figured it out. The "issue" was null. I was trying to pass the issue to a custom REST Endpoint for a Web item Fragment and realized I can't pass an object through a REST API call. So, I changed it to issuekey, got the object from the key, and it worked.
  • Thank you for providing the screenshots. Could you please include the far right so that I can see the scroll bar(s)? And if possible, could you please include the top of the Confluence page so that I can see if there are any banners?
  • So, it's like 4 years later, but I'm now having this same problem that Alexander had. Let me know if you think I should just create a new question. Granted, they've deprecated getCustomFieldObjectByName, but I can still use it. The alternative is not working either. Overall, I need update a multi-user picker field with an…

  • <stepping up on soapbox> Please put content into Confluence pages. Confluence is not a file repository. <stepping off of soapbox> If your intent is to view the contents of the file, it'd be a whole lot nicer to just copy and paste the contents into a Code Block macro. There you can do things like specify the language, add…
  • Unfortunately, view page data is not captured by Confluence itself, let alone is it available through the REST API. You'd have to start capturing page views. You can turn on Analytics, get another plugin, or do some fancy coding with database table updates. If you've got Confluence capturing the page view data somehow,…
  • The bad news: You can't using the REST API. The good news: You can using XML-RPC, which is like old REST API. See Remote Confluence method under Spaces -> Retrieval: String exportSpace(String token, String spaceKey, String exportType) - exports a space and returns a String holding the URL for the download. The export type…
  • You've done the right steps. I'm impressed you even tried the "e" key! I've tried that one before but it never works if the page doesn't have the edit button. :( "AD Groups for access" is a clue that usually makes me think she'd need to logout/login. If you've cleared the cache, then she'd have had to login again. But, for…
  • Since it says you're new here... <stepping onto soapbox> I never recommend using files inside of Confluence or using Confluence as a file repository. Put the content into Confluence itself. If you're using Excel for calculations (its intended purpose and not as a database or content holder), there are plugins that you can…
  • A screenshot would be good so that we can see what you're talking about. Also, if there's an added banner at the top of Confluence, it can make the Edit view have double scroll bars and look messed up.
