Aw, shucks, :D

* Pick a programming language that you would like to use to send calls to the REST API, and learn how to make REST API calls in that language* This is going to be the hardest part for someone who's non-technical * cURL is what you'll see a lot of the samples done in, and there's tons of documentation and tutorials on it.…

By database if you mean a relational database like MySQL, MS SQL Server, etc., you can't connect directly to the Confluence Cloud database. You can if you use Confluence Data Center. If you mean this type of database, the the Atlassian Data Lake might be helpful. Or are you referring to Confluence's feature called…

I think we'll need some more information. "Dependency list" is pretty vague. By "Dependency list," do you mean: * a list of Jira issues that have an issue link type of "dependency"? * Or do you just want to create a list of some non-Atlassian thing1 that has a dependency on some other non-Atlassian thing2? * Can I Show…

From your screenshots I think I see the problem. I believe in the first example you're not specifying the column names in the settings for the macro. In the second example, you are. I can tell this because whenever you do not specify the column names it puts them in alphabetical order. It's possible because you're showing…

It really depends on why the users don't have access to Confluence. Is it a licensing thing? Is it that they're outside of your network? Anonymous Access If users have access to your network and your Confluence instance at all and the problem is that they don't have licenses, then you could enable Anonymous Access (in Data…

It could be something corrupt in that page or some other macro or something interfering. Sometimes Confluence misbehaves. ;) If possible, I'd say just create a new page, in the same space as the old page, with the pp report macro, since it's obviously working on another page. Rename or delete the old page, then rename the…

I am using Confluence 8.5.14 Data Center. I just started seeing this issue as well. I'm not sure on which version it started, though. I looked for an existing bug, but it's not this one: CONFSERVER-60434. I have nothing else on the page, just that macro. This has happened on multiple pages in multiple spaces. I have…

I can't delete this message, but I initially meant to reply to the existing thread, not post as a new answer.

It would be extremely helpful (actually vital) for us for there to be a Organization level Viewer role that a group could be assigned to and that could never be more than read-only, regardless of any permissions granted anywhere else in the Organization. Is that possible?

Unfortunately, the Atlassian University site comes up with blank pages for the certifications (and other things), I'm guessing due to a security setting on my work computer. However, I'd like to get the (relatively) new Confluence certification since the ACP-200 was retired.

This is just one of the many reasons I like to store all scripts (unless they're super tiny) in the Script Editor, then use the File tab, instead of the Inline tab, to reference the script by name wherever it may end up being used. You can also re-use scripts if they're in the Script Editor, too. You can't do an across…

Not exactly. It works for transitions, not statuses, or at least I haven't tried with statuses.
-
Hi @Federico Rava , Apparently so, if I'm understanding your question correctly. I saw one of the projects in our instances had one, so I tested it. This is how it's done: In the workflow in Edit mode, click the Add transition button: Then select: * From status = Any status * To status = Itself This is what it looks like…

I've been trying to figure out the ins and outs of content properties / metadata, and it can be quite confusing since there are two separate kinds, which Atlassian has named the same. The REST API content properties are stored in the content (key as the title) and bodycontent (value as Json) tables. The Java API content…

Does this only affect Cloud (not Data Center)?
-
Good question. I do not know. This was for the Jira Data Center (and Server at the time) certification exam.
-
I was able to find the on-premise examples here. It's much simpler. You just do a regular PUT Jira REST API issue edit of the custom field. What you pass as the value is different from most custom fields, but simple enough. Available actions are: add, set, remove. For example:…

Better late than never, and just in case I forget and run across this again... You have to have this in the request line: -ContentType "application/json" Even if you have it in the header, it won't work, at least it didn't for me. I don't see you have it anywhere.Your code would look like:$transitionResponse =…

Idk if it's related to this or not: CONFSERVER-75497 But for me, I was having the same problem on multiple pages. I was also not able to move the pages between spaces even though I'm in the all powerful confluence-administrators group, and I had all permissions in the two spaces. I was able to move other pages between the…

<whew> Thank you so much for posting this! I was cleaning up a lower environment and some pages are messed up, for whatever reason, and won't purge from the space trash. So that I can delete all the spaces with messed up pages, I decided to move them to one centralized, messed up space. I was able to write a ScriptRunner…

Be aware that disabling at mentions globally will also disable other plugins in Confluence: Confluence Mention Plugin dependencies

Yes, I'm thinking this may require some scripting.
-
Oh well, I thought that would work, but it really just shows me which issues have comments in them that I've made. I'm the only member of the group.
-
One note for anyone looking for this in the future, the syntax is: issueFunction in commented("inGroup group-name")
