me launching this beta with all of you community members right now

Hi @Paul The way that Slack handles unfurls with integrations is a bit unique, so you won't see an option to turn off unfurls for all Jira attachments from Slack as far as I know. It may though, and I'd recommend checking out some of their options from their documentation like…

Hi Ryan, If you type /jira notify anywhere in Slack, you can set up notifications to be notified via the Jira cloud app for when you are assigned tickets. Hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions Trevor Thompson, Product Manager
-
Hi Carl, If you are receiving notifications from the Jira Cloud for Slack app, Angélica is absolutely correct in that if you type `/jira notify` you'll be able to manage your personal notifications and turn those notifications off. I'm sorry to hear that it was tricky to find this and that we've been sending too many…

Unfortunately, you'll need to be a Slack admin to remove the Jira Cloud for Slack app.
-
Hey all, this functionality is released and rolled out to 100% of Jira Cloud for Slack users. To achieve this, simply type /jira notify anywhere in Slack if the app is installed. With this functionality users can receive direct messages from the Jira app in Slack for issues they are watching, they are the reporter on, the…

Hey @Adam Waterhouse - PM for the integration here 👋 If you go into the Slack channel and type /jira manage do you see any active subscriptions set up for your project into that channel? Anyone (non-admins included) should be able to set up a new subscription if there isn't one there. If the subscription is still there,…

Hi @Paul Benati , As far as dedicated channel functionality goes, this was originally a feature for our Jira Ops pilot (as part of the Jira Cloud for Slack app). Since we moved on from Jira Ops, we've yet to add that to the core part of the Jira cloud for Slack app, however it is on our radar as something we'd like to…
-
Thanks for the explanation! The ability to create issues from Images in Slack and copy them over to the created ticket is absolutely on our radar. I really appreciate you taking the time to explain that workflow! These improvements for creating issues isn't on our immediate radar (think, next couple of months) - but we've…
-
a) When creating an issue from Slack, it only allows you to input Summary and Description. It would be nice if you could add other fields from JIRA to that view (probably through the /jira manage screen) I agree! We've thought about making it so that it shows the same fields that your "Create Screen" shows. Do you think…
-
The ability to add a designated reaction to a message to automatically create issues in Jira with the message contents and attachments Yeah, love this idea. Something we could look at when it comes to setting up custom workflows, but we haven't spent too much time going down this path yet. In addition, once the issue is…
-
Hi @Schuyler Jager , thanks for the feedback! A few of those things are solvable today with our Cloud integration, so first I'll ask - are you on Server or Cloud? Trevor
-
Well I can't give that much away 🤐 😁
-
@Kat Warner is that for Jira Server? If so, Jira Server indeed does not have support for creating issues from Slack, so a marketplace app would be recommended to be able to do that.
-
Hey @Kat Warner ! Did you figure out what the issue was? Let me know how I can help :) You should be able to create issues using `/jira create` in Slack, or by selecting the "..." on any message in Slack and creating the message action "Create issue from.."
-
Hey @Ronald , The content of the video about is Cloud only, but I'm happy to answer any questions about Server Slack apps as well.
-
Hey everyone! Thanks for joining - let's get things kicked-off! Send me your spiciest questions 😅 I live in Texas, after all.. I should be able to handle them 🥵 The spicier they get the more likely I am to spill the beans about what we're working on next 😏 Trevor

Hey @David Looby Apologies for the delayed response. I've created a public JAC ticket to follow the progress on supporting Guest users with our new unfurling. https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/API-180 However, this definitely should not be happening with 'regular' Slack users. If you can grab a screenshot of what's…
-
@[deleted] You can create multiple connections per Jira project. Just type `/jira connect` in the channel and you'll be able to great a new subscription. @Kendrick Brown You can use JQL to create a subscription for an individual ticket. Just use JQL along the lines of "issue key = KEY-1234"
-
Hi Henry, Unfortunately there is not currently a resolution to this. You can follow along for updates here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/API-180 Trevor

The bot obviously didn't work in Direct Messages which was a major downfall, but that was offset by the ease of use. It would rock if the official bot did this same/similar behavior for 'free', but kept its expanded previews for users who have authenticated. Our homegrown solution had a lot of issues and maintenance is an…
-
Hey @Zach Haehn unfortunately we don't have a solution for enabling Guest users to authenticate themselves *today*. We are looking at this feature and have a workaround in mind. I've opened a feature request in our public Jira issue tracker, please vote and watch so you can get updates on it.…
-
Hey again Andrew, thanks for the insights! They are insanely valuable. >Thing is, convincing all 90 or so people in Slack to take the couple of minutes to mess with the Jira Bot integration is not as easy as it sounds. Agreed! What functionality are you hoping these 90 users unlock by doing this? We kind of look at…
-
Hi @Andrew Krigline The Jira Cloud Slack integration should be a breeze to onboard into. Yes, each user needs to authenticate the Jira for Slack app in order to interact with it in Slack. Unfortunately, there's no way for an Admin to manually map Jira usernames to Slack usernames. All authentication is handled on a…
-
Hey again Rob, do you mind opening a support ticket at support.atlassian.com ? This one seems tricky and I think we may need to take a peek at some more detailed information to help you resolve it. It will still come in through our pipeline and we'll make sure we can help you figure it out :)
-
Hey Rob, Users will see the site selector only if they are members of multiple sites with the same Atlassian ID. >They don't have the option to select Jira cloud instance A1. Can you confirm if these users have access to A1 with the same Atlassian ID? I believe if you have the users go…
-
Hi @David Looby , This is new functionality we've just shipped. We've upped the security of the Jira for Slack installation by requiring that users log into show issue previews. This ensures that users can only show previews for Jira tickets that they actually have access to. Logging in requires that you authorize the Jira…
-
Hey @Sunny Nepal , Unfortunately right now, from Atlassian, there is no way to do this. However we're currently working on a Jira Service Desk + Slack integration that sounds like it has some features you might be interested in. Would you be interested in being a part of our Early Access Program for this? I'd be happy to…
-
Hi @Adrian Pemberton if you type `/jira manage` then you should be able to click the link and remove the subscription from there. Hope this helps Trevor
-
Thanks @Tomas Alvarez for the feedback. I agree that it would be great to be able to do that, but it isn't possible due to limitations of our own app and of Slack's API. In order for us to do that today, we'd need to be able to edit your own messages, which we would prefer not to do because it requires scary permissions on…
