Hello @Julie d_Antin _Elements_ Following up on this, can you give more details for future users around how to manage synchronisation of issues on cloud? For things like the ones you mention: Status, fields, everything else, ...

Hello @na 👋 What online instructions are you using as reference?

Hello @Harry Bob @Hec Sorry for the inconvenience. As soon as you posted I contacted the Service Desk team and they jumped on it. 🙇♂️

Hello again @Marcela Junyent Indeed this is something you can do with scriptrunner by first querying the issue for the `Target status` value and the building the JQL dynamically from it. This is a question that has come up before. You can see how others solved similar problems in these two threads:…

Come back to this thread if its not the case ;) 🚀

A Next-gen project. When visiting the 'Projects' page you should see in the top-right corner the 'Create Project' button. That should open a drop-down with two options. Classic and next-gen. Select next-gen and complete the creation flow (Kanban or scrum are available as templates, but you can toggle features on and off as…

This will definitely do what we need Good to hear that. I completely relate to the admin request flow (other side of the world, and back and forth and back and ...). And the other version you talk about seems to relate to the on-premise version, which is VERY different indeed. To port your issues over you can go to the old…

Hello @Marcela Junyent , Maybe. Can you be a little more specific about what you have in mind and the sort of problem you are trying to solve?
-
Hello @justin_julian I understand your pain. Scheme configuration of classic projects has proven to be complex enough to have entire courses dedicated to instance/project configuration AND a new type of project created within Jira all together. Are you restricted to the type of project you have created or can you create a…

Hello @Jordan Bardwell Indeed there is an API for that: https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/jira/platform/rest/v3/?utm_source=%2Fcloud%2Fjira%2Fplatform%2Frest%2F&utm_medium=302#api-rest-api-3-customField-fieldId-option-get Get options for field GET /rest/api/3/customField/{fieldId}/option

Hello @[deleted] Indeed a screenshot would help to better understand what you are seeing. You can upload attachments (images) using the camera in the formatting bar: Quick question would be: is the project you want to limit the users to next-gen or classic? Next-gen projects allow for users to be managed from the 'Access'…

🤦♂️Oh dear. You are very right. I'm sorry for that. As you say, "Parent Link" as it works within next-gen projects is not a feature available to Classic projects. Let me dig a little into the why: - Classic projects have a very structured (and limited) issue hierarchy: epics, issues, subtasks. Epics are a 'special' type…

Long distance run training, meditation, apnea training, high-peak hiking, ... the list of things that can be done is big but I'll be able to give some details around my journey to 'lower heart-rate' in the future 🤞

No charges :) Feel free to contact our support team when you face a roadblock like this 🚀

I see what you mean. As far I know, Portfolio will schedule work based on resource capacity to maximize its use. Start and end dates are rough estimates and used to guide the calculation but not the delimiters of the capacity. However, have you tried to base calculations on 'Target…

I can't think of a way of doing with the any out of the box feature, but you might be able to pull this off with a script (ScriptRunner) listening for updates to the initiative

Great to hear!! 🚀

Thanks for this ;) @Emily Koch, the goal is to read a book and write a one-pager summary for it every week. By the end of the year, I believe I'll get there 🤔 After a few weeks of going at it I've read 4 books and written 2 1/2 summaries, created a nice summary template. Choosing the right book is key I've found (some have…

Hello again @Shane Sorry for misguiding you here. Let me correct myself. For classic, the epic links are created from the 'Epic Link' field OR by dragging an issue card in the backlog on to an Epic in the 'Epics panel' (left sidebar): For Next-Gen projects, you are able to add Epic links (parents) from the dropdowns you…

From what I see in the dropdown, the 'story point estimate' is active and not 'story points'. This indicates that you are looking at reporting on a Next-gen project. In next-gen projects, story points fields are filtered using the 'Story point estimate'. There has been a rename there. Would that solve your issue?

Can say with precision, but a few months for sure

The novel (and the 3 novels following it) make up a for a great Saga. Must read!!!!! (the movie does not do it justice ;) )

🤣

Hello @Jital Jain When you say 'copy the field' do you mean the value of the field? would you also be looking to keep it in sync if the value changed? 🤔interesting problem
-
Hello @John Chapman The problem you are facing is that the backlog will only display the epics that are part of that particular backlog. The Board CAN be configured through JQL filters to display cross project epics/issues, but the backlog is scoped to the project.
-
Hello @Melanie Pasztor My first go at this would be to do a mass export to CSV and then mass import to each project. What have you tried/thought of?
-
Doubling down on this ^

Hello @Dana Hicks When you say 'dates on my issue card' do you mean the end date you are setting? If so, there is no way that I know of that will fix that. Portfolio will be your source of truth for the start and end dates, becoming your main tool to determine project durations and time spans. If you then want to reflect…
