Confluence is designed to share information, not to hide it from others. And to keep the permissions simple and manageable, they decided to do it this way, I guess.

Hi @Rajiv Menon , Welcome to the community. Your assumption is right, you have to give that user access to the whole space and restrict all other pages to your core team.
-
Hi @Marzi Goodarzian , So you want to know how to configure a screen for a specific issue type? Take a look here https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver072/project-screens-schemes-and-fields-828787805.html

Hi @MOHANKRISHNAREDDY , Welcome to the community. If you need help, we need more information where you are currently stuck. And please try not to write in uppercase letters, that's like shouting and this is not motivating to give you some help.

I don't think that the firewall is the right thing for that. You could use a reverse proxy with an authentication to allow only specs users. Can your users try to ping your base URL or do a trace route?
-
Hi, Try here https://www.atlassian.com/software/confluence/download-archives
-
Hi @Andrew Chung , You have to make sure that your users can reach your server. Things you can have a look at: Are the users in the same network or do they connect via internet. If they are connecting via internet, is your server exposed to the internet or is there a firewall or something like that. Are you using a base…

Hi @Paul Wade , Is the complete workflows page missing or only the option to change the workflow? The Jira Administrator can configure if they will give you the rights to edit the workflow or not. So maybe, it is not enough if you are project Administrator but you need to be Jira Administrator.
-
Hi @Mourad Bendjennet , I guess you are with an self hosted jira instance. So you need to ask your administrator if there are any issues with the network. They can also check the logs, located in application home/logs. Start with atlassian-jira.log.

Hi @Rich Wolverton Do you have Script Runner or something like that, then you could achieve this with a custom listener, I think. If not, it will be harder. Are the Devs or QAs only assigned in some status? Then it can be achieved with a post function maybe. If it can be every transition, you can try to add one transition…
-
Hi @Rod Latham , Just to understand you right, do you want to allow this group only to edit this one label field and not the other fields, or what do you want exactly to do.
-
Hi @Darrel Damon , Welcome to the community. 1) as @jira guy said, you don't need separate licenses. But instead of renewing the old license I suggest to get a new one, it will probably be cheaper, if your license is expired at least two years. 2) I just checked that quickly and it seems that it should be that easy. Please…
-
Hi @Daniel Cicciarelli , thanks for your reply. We checked that already, but the user is not (and according to the audit log has never been) member of any group with jira administration permissions.
-
Hi @Debajit Hazarika , For your first question, you can use one of the existing version fields if they are not yet used and just rename it in the request type configuration. Your second question can be solved with automation, that are built-in to Servicedesk. You can find them in the project configuration area.

Hi @mrboring , I just removed it from the spam list.

Hi @Hielke Rijpstra , I did a little further investigation. There is this issue https://jira.atlassian.com/plugins/servlet/mobile#issue/JSDSERVER-5485 Where the resolution field is causing a similar problem. Can you check, if that field is hidden for your project?
-
Did you read the documentation? At what point are you stuck, then I can try to explain that further.
-
Hi @ob , Welcome to the community. I would start with checking the logs, starting with atlassisn-confluence.log in application-home/logs/. You could also check the instance health check and the collaborative editing pages in the settings, if there are any problems listed.
-
Hi @Ravi R Acharya , You can go to issue search, search for the issues you want to get and then export them there.
-
Hi @Nida Malik , You will need a service desk project. In that project you need a issue type with the fields , screens and so on as you need them. To configure the portal itself, head to the project settings and then go to request types. There you can configure your request types and the fields that should be available on…
-
Hi @Ian Walker , If you want each group to see only the issues they should see, you can use issue security with a security level for each company for example. Then they will only see their issues. To set the issue security level on creation and don't want to let them to do this manually, you could use an add-on like script…

Another question, Jira Core, Software or Servicedesk?
-
Hi @Viktor Kuzmychov , I think the chance to get an answer is better if you ask the developer community. https://community.developer.atlassian.com/
-
I'm sorry, I don't know a way to change the order of the tabs.
-
I don't know why but it does not work if you put it in the description of the comment, you have to put it in the description of another field.
-
Hi, In this case any status means they are either open or closed. So if you can see the requests with any status, you should be able to see them either as open or closed. Jira defines an request as open when no resolution is set and it is closed when a resolution is set. So this has nothing to do with the workflow status.…
-
Hi @Lucas Teixeira , I think it will be best to reach out to the Atlassian Support in this case, they will be able to check what's up with your account. You can find the support here https://support.atlassian.com/contact/

Hallo @[deleted] , Neue Komponenten können nur von Benutzern mit Projekt-Admin Berechtigung angelegt werden. Sollen die Benutzer das nicht dürfen, dann dürfen sie keine Projekt-Admins sein.
-
Hi @Hielke Rijpstra , If you go to Projecg Settings - Request Types - Edit fields for an existing request type, there should be an "Workflow Status" link on top. Choose that, and you will can map the workflow status to the status that is shown in the portal.
-
Hi Andrew, columns are only representations of status, so if you want a new column, you need a new status. If you do not want to use a workflow, you can configure your workflow in the way, that every status can transition to all status.
